Breaking the Besties' Code

"No,kiss her already.." Alex groaned as Alec Sin held Emma's cheek. 


"No,don't.." Adrain yelled from the couch and I rolled my eyes shoving popcorn in my mouth. We've watched "Made in Canada" hundred and one times and each time,they acted like they didn't know he would kiss Emma. 


"I told him not to.." Adrain said rolling his eyes and I snorted. 


"Why do guys act like you don't already know?" I asked and Alex shoved popcorn in her mouth, chewing with her mouth open. Pig! 


"Because it's fun Avy. You get to pretend and then say what you wish to happen. If it does, it seems as if you have magic.." She said and I groaned. 


"Yeah, but you love us.." Adrain yelled sucking his doughnut. Gross! 


"Adry,mom said.." I said and covered my poor eyes. Adrain was half naked and fresh from the shower. 


"Come on,I'm not naked and besides we've bathed together before.." He said and I flushed crimson. 


"Well that was three years ago and I was drunk,hell so were you. " I said moving closer and I lost balance. I fell backwards but he caught me. I held my breath at how close we were. I could see his face well up close. His eyes looked blue, really blue,his nose was broader,his lips were full and kissable,his ears were pointed,his hair was longer and wet from the shower....he looked hot! 


"Oh no Isabella Avery Josephine Night,get a grip!" 


"Uh Adry..Avy.. Mom says lunch is ready..." Alex said looking at us weirdly. 


Lunch was pretty awkward. Meghan mom chatted non-stop unaware of the awkwardness. I was avoiding Alexandria's questioning gaze and I couldn't read Adrain's face;it was unreadable. I forced each bacon down my throat and ran to the kitchen when the last one went down. 


"Oh Lord! How much awkwardness can one take?". I thought and sighed placing my plate in the dishwasher. I'm still trying to understand how Adry and I ended up in that position earlier on in his bedroom. Oh! I was falling and hero Adry saved me and we froze in that position just like in the movies. 


"It's against the rules Isabella Avery Josephine Night! No you can't be falling for your besties' brother...it's Chicks before Bros.." I thought and sighed when I felt those butterflies the novels talked about. Take me now!! 


"Avy wait up!" Alex yelled from behind me and my legs decided to go a tad bit faster. 


"Wait Avy; damn will you slow down, my legs are hurting!" She yelled and my legs gave in. 


"It's fine. Why have you been avoiding me?" She asked and I mentally groaned. Observant much? I feel like I'm four miles away from breaking the besties' code that's six miles. I'm only minus two miles away!! I don't wanna lose my best friend! 


"Nothing Alex, I've been busy..." I said and she eyed me. 


"Is there something going on between you and Adry? Just curious.." She asked and I froze. My eyes were wide as saucers,damn! 


"No Alex, absolutely nothing." I feel awful and confused.
