The rain slowed down and slowly stopped falling. Rosa was still there at the entrance, her eyes were closing and opening in intervals. The burn-in her eyes did not let her rest much. She kept blinking her eyes to make it stop drying. The rustle of the leaves made her eyes open. The sun started to peek behind the clouds passing by. It was still cold inside the cave.
She took a deep breath and turned to look at the captain. He was sound asleep; his head was tilted on the side a bit. Rosa turned and ducked out of the cave. Her hand was on the handles of her swords. She wanted to check the surroundings before they left the place. Darce felt the cold wind on his face. He woke up slowly opening his eyes. The light morning sky welcomed him.
There was a strong smell of wet earth that filled his surroundings. He turned and searched for Rosa. The cloak fell on his lap.
‘Where did she go?’ He got up to his feet stretching his arms.
