Rosa sighed as she took the step after a while.
Her knight guard, Senal, was waiting at the end of the stairs. “It has been a while, Your Highness.”
He bowed to her.
“I am sorry for leaving you behind. I hope I did not disappoint you.” She patted his shoulder.
“I am lying if I say everything was alright, Your Highness. However, it was an order I could not ignore.” Rosa smiled as she nodded and entered the hallway.
The servants greeted them if they managed to fall in front of her. Rosa also nodded back. She noticed a smile on their face.
“I thought they did not know whether I exist.” She murmured.
“The moment you decided to join the war in place of His Majesty, you made a name for yourself,” Senal replied, and there was a slight giggle in his voice.
“Your Highness!” A voice interrupted them. Rosa knew that voice as she grinned and turned to face its owner.
“Silver…” The girl ran toward her and quickly grabbed her hands.
