The clear disappointment could be seen in the faces of the people on the other side. The woman, covered in a black cloak, was also shaking in anger. She did not anticipate this change in the scene. Even Theodore went silent from frowning. The person staring back at him was not just there. She is challenging him. There was something in that masked face that was showing no care or fear rather her eyes seemed to be staring back inside of him.
