"HELLO, Softy! Hey!"
I rolled my eyes when I heard Xylon calling me by that name again. I turned around and confronted him. "Don't say hello to me! And how many times do I have to tell you that my name is not Softy?" I turned around once again and took a step away from him.
But Xylon grabbed my arm. "Come on, let's go home," he said.
"Let me go!" I struggled.
"You're so stubborn!" he exclaimed as he dragged me away.
"How did you end up following me here in the first place?" I asked, irritated.
"You've been missing for quite some time. What do you expect? My conscience told me not to abandon you. And what exactly are you doing out here? All by yourself. You're in the middle of nowhere, Miranda."
"Why do you care?" I said, desperately trying to escape. "Eh, I want to be alone."
"So you want to be alone. Why?" He paused and our eyes met. "Are you trying to imagine what happened between us yesterday? Huh, Miranda?" he inquired, almost sticking his face to mine.
"Uh-What?" I swallowed. "How could you?"
"Admit it. You want to be alone because you want to reflect and recall the passion we both shared yesterday. How I kissed you..." He lowered his gaze to my lips. "How my lips marked those..." he whispered. I don't know how he's capable of giving me shivers. His eyes went down even further. "And how I..."
"Shut up!" I shouted furiously at him before he could say any more words. ‘He's an animal! How could he read my mind?’
With great force, I pulled my arm away from him. I walked back to the house. I could still hear him calling my name, but I didn't turn around. Then, I was startled when he lifted my body from the ground. Before I could think, my head was already spinning in the air. His strong body lifted me like a soft cotton ball.
"Put me down!" I screamed with all my might. "Xylon, I said, put me down!" I punched him hard on his back.
"Stop wriggling if you don't want me to throw you!"
'So he's mad at me now?'
"I can walk!"
"With your bare feet."
I rolled my eyes in the air. My head was still spinning.
"What if I walk with my bare feet? Why do you care?"
I exhaled sharply as he gently put me down on the cold floor. ‘Jeez! How was he able to take me home that fast?’
"What if you stepped on those sharp broken branches? Are you going to nurse yourself? No way you will do that," His eyes glazed over me. "You'll only make me worried about you like hell!"
I was stunned for a moment. When I could no longer hold his intent gaze, I decided to instantly turn my back again away from him.
"Why? You didn't even do anything last night?" I couldn't help but ask.
"Don't worry, Miranda. Yes, I didn't regret what we did last night. But I promise you it will never happen again."
He walked past me. I was about to enter my room when he suddenly turned to me again and our eyes met. Why is it that every time he stares fiercely at me like that I got goosebumps all over me? I wasn't like this before every time I see him.
"Unless you request it," he said sternly.
"H-Ha?" I couldn't understand what was he signifying by those words.
There was a faint grin on his lips. "And when that happens, be prepared. Because you won't be able to walk or get up from bed. You'll be exhausted on every single thing that I'm going to do to your body."
My forehead furrowed. I went straight to my room and left him standing with his amused facial expression.
I walked to the bathroom to take a shower and washed my soiled feet when I frowned thinking what he just said.
‘Don't worry, Miranda. Yes, I didn't regret what we did last night. But I promise you it will never happen again. Unless you request it. And when that happens, be prepared. Because you won't be able to walk or get up from bed. You'll be exhausted on every single thing that I'm going to do to your body.’
I stared stupidly at myself in the mirror. Is that so? ‘He thinks that I'm going to beg him for sex? Damn him!’
He didn't even feel sorry for what he did to Fiore and me. He deserves to get a slap. Jerk! I will never ask him for that. Never. Over my dead body!
