Chapter 38

MY HAIR moved with the wind. My face being buffeted by the cold gust. The sun has set, and it's almost time to hit the hay sack. Even at night, the resort was adequately illuminated because of the mellow lights with faded colours all around the area.

I took a seat on a long, teak bench next to a tall mango tree. It wasn't far from the inn, but they probably won't notice me here.

Something in the distance captured my attention. I looked around to see if the twins had instantly followed me. I turned around to recognize the familiar enormous dog approaching.

"Hey, buddy. What are you doing here?" I asked foolishly smiling. I was wondering why I wasn't scared of the same huge German shepherd dog.

My body shook slightly as he carefully climbed into the chair. Then he stretched his body out and rested his head on top of my thigh.
