"Today is very important for us, make sure that every single thing is perfect. And I want all the staff to be present at that time. It is the time for us to become globally famous." Dong-Hoon was lecturing the Hotel Manager while they were walking towards the main office.
It was a big day for them as England's King and Queen were coming to Korea for some political purposes and have decided to make a stay at Shim's Hotel.
...
"Think Se-Young, think, what if the King and Queen got to like your dessert too much and they will make you their personal cook or even better, what if they offer you their son's hand in marriage. or what if..." Yoon-Hwa was knitting dreams into Se-Young's head and getting fed up with her Se-Young shut her up by putting her hand on her mouth.
"Enough Yoon-Hwa, before they will make me their personal cook, they will surely make the Hotel fire you for your blabbering. Go do your work." Se-Young was enjoying Yoon-Hwa's sulky face as she walked away from her to do her own work.
Dong-Hoon entered the kitchen and Se-Young sighed in relief, if Yoon-Hwa was still gossiping around with her he would have surely made some ridiculous comments.
"Attention everyone... I want you to make all your Korean specialties. Every single thing needs to be best, supervised under the executives." he eyed Se-Young, although it was quite a crucial day but how could he not cause any trouble to her. He can't digest his food without passing comment about her as it had become his daily routine in the past few days.
"And Chef Lee, can you make any Korean dessert or are you just good at making those western-style cakes and pastries." he asked with a smug look on his face.
Although she wanted to rip his head out of his body but still gave him a very polite smile. "Don't worry Mr. Shim, King and Queen would be delighted to eat their first-ever Korean dessert." for everyone, it might be her simple words but for him her words were mockery.
"They better be." he said leaving the kitchen along with the manager. Yoon-Hwa was going towards her to probably ask something stupid again, but before she could reach her Se-Young shouted, "Chef Han, I think the chefs working under you are more interested in gossips than their work." and Yoon-Hwa took a U-turn without saying anything, Mr. Han could be quite harsh sometimes.
...
Ji-Hoon was done with his presentation and everyone was praising him and clapping for him. Park Yoo-Chun was quite satisfied with the proposal he came up with and Shims were well known in the business industry. It was a good chance for both of their companies.
Yoo-Na knew that he had taken her lightly that day and now too, he was making eye contact with everyone except her and she guessed that he did not consider her a part of this deal.
"Mr. Shim, your proposal is excellent but as you can see all the proposers here are with their chief executives. But you are here basically alone. So, what should we consider that this deal is not as important for you as it is for all of them." she smirked while he was glaring at her.
Her father nodded, although it was quite a good deal but he could not brush what his daughter just said. His chest got heavy with pride and everyone was now looking at Ji-Hoon, waiting for his reply.
"Ms. Park, I acknowledge your concerns but you need not to worry. This deal is as important for us as it would be for anyone else or I may say it can be considered more valuable for me personally. Our company's decision that whether I am eligible to be the next CEO or not, depends solely on the result of this deal and I assure you that the proposal was completely made under my team so, you would not have to worry about a single thing that the chief executive of the company is not here..." Yoo-Na gave him a 'you are indeed impressive look' and he bowed and went to his seat as everyone was clapping and praising him.
Park Yoo-Chun kept looking at his daughter from time to time during the meeting, how she was giving Ji-Hoon looks and he was just ignoring her. He did not like Ji-Hoon's attitude towards his daughter but business was business and no personal grudges in business was his rule.
He stood up followed by his team. "I thank all of you with the bottom of my heart to prepare so much for this deal and give your best. Just a few minutes of discussion with my team members and we will let you know the results." they left the conference room and others were waiting anxiously for the results.
Ji-Hoon's cell phone was buzzing as he had kept it on silent. He took it out of his pocket and excused himself from others to attend the call. "Mom, I was in a meeting." he said to Jung-Nan on the call.
"Shut up and listen to me, I am more important than meetings..." she was particularly shouting at this point. "...give your cell phone to your father. He is not picking up my calls. I have been trying for ten minutes now."
"Mom, I am not in the office, call the reception. They will connect your call to father."
"Just now you said, you were attending a meeting. Now you are saying, you are not in the office. Where are you, don't tell me you are fooling around like Tae-Hoon." she again shouted and Ji-Hoon let out a troubled sigh.
"Relax mom relax, I am at the Park's company. We had a meeting here. Dad's currently preparing the stuff for the next shareholder's meeting so, he might have kept his mobile on silent. You can call at the reception. I will end the call now. Ok bye." he cut the call before his mother could reach any worse conclusions in her own mind.
