Shaken to her core

“I can proudly say I am a fan of Wang Hye-Rin, who can dance, sing, compose and choreograph as well, she is a complete package.” Tae-Hoon read a few more of these similar comments.

“It looks like you are really good at composing and writing lyrics as well.” he sarcastically complimented her and took out a file and said, “It says that you have taken part in writing lyrics and composing the song ‘I am a scar’, may I know exactly what lyrics you added? and Hwang PD-nim, I want you and her to say those lines together since you are the main producer credited for the song.”

Both Hye-Rin and Hwang PD looked at each other nervously.

“I am sorry Mr. Shim, we gave her fake credits to raise her popularity.” Hwang PD instantly accepted his fault, getting nervous of the intense gaze Tae-Hoon was shooting at them.

“Those fans who get comfort from your songs, who let your song be the one for their healing, you are saying that they only want your visuals, I see what kind of artists we have in our company.” he showed his disappointment to the crew.

“Miss Wang Hye-Rin, I officially cancel your contract with our company.” she could not believe her ears, she always thought that the company was solely working because of her and without her there will not be anything remaining but right now she was being thrown out as a piece of worthless blank paper, a blank paper who was not even useful to write a word on it.

“You... you can’t do this to me, I will spread rumors about the company, I will not let this matter go.” she was utterly shocked and blabbering whatever came to her mind.

Tae-Hoon just sighed shaking his head in pity. “Miss Wang, if you don’t remember then let me remind you, this office and every single corner of this building have CCTV cameras and we have every single proof of what actually was happening behind the CEO’s back. You can’t do anything.” he gave her a tight-lipped, sarcastic smile.

She was sure that her career was gone for good now.

...

“Only the two solo artists who were doing their work properly and Universe (a boy band) and Sparkles (a girl group) can keep up with the comebacks while keep others on halt until and unless they learn something.” Tae-Hoon was instructing the team.

“But Mr. Shim, what will we say to the fans?” someone asked.

“Did you ask such a question when you were letting those debut.” he retorted with a smug face.

In embarrassment, that person just bowed his head down and although Tae-Hoon was being serious about his work, he would not leave a chance to make fun of someone. “Ok, back to what I was saying, hold auditions and form a new boy band. I will personally assist you in choosing the right ones.”

“Any questions or objections?” he asked and no one said anything. “Good.” he said and left the conference room followed by his PA.

The remaining people in the conference room were giving each other nervous gazes.

After thinking for some time Dong-Hoon finally called Eun-Woo. “Wow, Shim Dong-Hoon called me. What is the big news?”

“Cut this crap. Just tell me whether you knew about what was Eun-Bi up to or not?” Dong-Hoon asked in a serious voice and for some time, nothing was heard from the other side.

“Fine, I got my answer and thanks for being such a nice friend.” Dong-Hoon was about to cut the call when Eun-Woo said. “I... am sorry. I just can’t bring myself to stop her. I... just wanted her to feel satisfied, I promise you, this will not happen again.” Eun-Woo sighed.

Dong-Hoon felt slightly bad but what Eun-Woo’s sister did was not so simple to let things go easily.

“I hope that if we meet again, we will still be friends.” Dong-Hoon said and cut the call, he put his cellphone on the table with force, making a bang sound with it.

He was worried if Eun-Bi had said something terrible to Se-Young in the morning, he knew that she cannot control her emotions and it will lead to asthma problems.

Se-Young kept herself busy the whole day with her Juniors not giving Jae-In a chance to talk to her. Even at lunchtime, she let half of them have lunch and half of them afterward.

She herself did not go for lunch and it was clearly visible on her face.

Jae-In thought that he will get a chance to talk to her after work but it was quite late for Juniors to go but she was still not sparing anyone.

Jae-In sighed knowing that others were getting treated like that because of him. Those Junior chefs had 'I am about to cry' written on their faces.

He just gave Se-Young a slight sad gaze and left.

Soon after he was gone Se-Young let the Juniors go, they literally cried with tears of joy, getting free from her scary version which they faced for the first time.

She sat down on a chair exhaling deeply. Many things were going on in her head. First, Jae-In. What was she supposed to do with him? and then Dong-Hoon’s confession which she actually felt nervous about. Even thinking about that kiss made her heart go boom boom.

But she had always been conscious about being in a relationship because of her father and then Eun-Bi's words that even if she really considered being in a proper relationship with Dong-Hoon people will definitely point fingers at her. The low-class girl went for the Hotelier.

She used her inhaler too many times today even though she knew that she should not use it that much but because of the fear of getting an attack due to anxiety, she kept using it that too on empty stomach.

Her condition was not good.

She changed her chef’s wear and took her granny bag. Because of the weakness, she stumbled and her granny bag fell on the floor.

She frowned her eyebrows looking at the courier which fell out from her bag. She wondered who would send her a courier.

Bending down she unpacked the courier but what she saw and read left her shaken to her core.
