Hani and Tae-Hoon came back home but the atmosphere in the house was not looking suitable so they did not tell them about the baby's gender test.
Having dinner alone they left for their room. “Why do you think everyone is so serious?” Hani asked looking at her left side as both of them were lying on their respective beds.
“Don’t know, but I feel like this matter is related to the company.” Tae-Hoon said thinking deeply. Even though the discussion was serious but Hani smiled seeing her handsome husband looking into nowhere.
“Goodnight.” she whispered as Tae-Hoon closed his eyes to sleep.
“Goodnight.” he replied in a whisper as well, not opening his eyes.
...
“Why in the world I am getting to know this only today.” Park Yoo-Chun shouted as Yoo-Na stood in front of all her family members looking down on the floor.
“I... I... I am sorry but...” she was really out of words as it was the first time her father was shouting at her and not only her but Yoo-Jin and Hae-Mi were looking at them worried.
“What sorry, WHAT SORRY? I don’t care about the company. I care about you the most. Have you ever thought this could lead us especially YOU into a big mess?” he said ‘you’ loudly pointing his index finger at her and she just dropped her head down biting her lips.
“Dad, believe me. I will make everything all right. I will no let anything happen to anyone, neither me and you guys nor the company. Everything is going to be investigated thoroughly.” she tried to assure him but the lines of tension were not leaving Yoo-Chun's forehead.
Yoo-Na approached him and took his left hand into hers. “We will be together in this.” he sighed nodding his head, she smiled at him sighing in relief. Yoo-Chun slightly smiled at her as well.
…
~The day before hearing~
“That bastard, I will kill him with my own two hands and feed his filthy body to crows.” Yoo-Na huffed as she was talking to someone on the call when someone knocked on the door.
“Come in.” she allowed and her PA entered her office and bowed. “I will talk to you later.” she said and ended the call.
“Ms. Park, Mr. Seo is waiting for you at the reception. Should I...” Yoo-Na smirked and before she could complete her sentence, she cut her off.
“Show him the way.” her PA again bowed and left to escort the guest. Yoo-Na cracked her knuckles and neck. “Finally, the ace card is here.”
Barely two minutes passed and a very handsome-looking guy came in without knocking like her office was his personal property, he had a smug look on his face.
“It has been so long, right Yoo-Na?” he gave a charming smile and winked at her sitting on the chair across from her.
“Yeah, right. Bastard.” Yoo-Na gave the same smile he had on his face.
“God, I never knew the word ‘bastard’ can sound so pleasing.” he slightly laughed crossing his legs, getting comfortable.
“Why are you here?” she asked as her expression changed to a stony one.
“Tsk. Yoo-Na, it is you who is not considerate about my feelings but how can I leave you in such a difficult situation.” the smile was not leaving his face and it was making Yoo-Na more and more irritated.
“Huh, what condition and I don’t remember inviting a bastard to the business event.” she gritted her teeth, slamming her fist on the table loudly.
“Of course, my naive Yoo-Na. We have a connection here, you know, here.” he said pointing at his heart.
“Rubbish, you better stay away from me and my company.” she glared at him.
“Why? Shims have abandoned you. I think you did a great mistake contracting with them. We were doing just fine but you had to push me away.” he said shaking his head.
“Seo Kang-Joon! Don’t forget it was you who decided to play games in the business and made us face a huge loss. Even if my company bankrupts, I will not take your help.” she glared at him.
“Rough like always, but my doors will be always open for you. You can enter whenever you want. In my company and in this heart as well.” he patted his chest area. “Just your yes and everything will be settled. I promise.” he stretched his hand forward, leaning his body forward as well for a handshake.
Yoo-Na gulped looking at his hand. She knew that if she grabbed his hand everything will be settled but not the way she wanted it to be.
She exhaled a deep breath, nodding to herself and smacked his hand away. “No thanks.”
Kang-Joon scoffed and stood up. “Your loss but I will never take back my words. Even if you ask me to help at the last moment. I will come running to you.” he stood up to leave but halted when Yoo-Na opened her mouth.
“Come to the court tomorrow, I will clear all your misunderstanding about me needing your help.” Kang-Joon smirked and left without looking back.
Yoo-Na smashed the files on the table. “This son of a...” she exhaled in frustration.
Her cell phone rang again and she picked it up. “That bastard came, I will show him tomorrow what can happen if someone messes with Park Yoo-Na.” after ending the call, she sat down on her chair.
“Gosh, I did not know that dimples could make me disgusted that much.” she made a fake gagging sound since both Ji-Hoon and Kang-Joon had very deep dimples.
...
“What happened? You have been gazing into nowhere for an hour now.” Yoon-Hwa said getting Se-Young back into reality.
“Oh, nothing. Just tired.” Se-Young cracked her knuckles but her mind was still lingering on the thought about the hearing today.
“Tsk, just sit down for a moment.” Yoon-Hwa grabbed her hand and made her sit on the kitchen counter.
“Just relax, I will take care of this.” Yoon-Hwa said pointing at the flour which was supposed to be dough by now.
