KNOWLEDGE FROM BEYOND

Eight years passed in the blink of an eye.

[Sappharix Nation]

[Rosewarth castle]

In these eight years, Lucas read more or less every book and journal recorded in the library. He wanted to gain as much information as possible before venturing out into the new era. Everyone was surprised to see Lucas's interest in books because children are usually interested in martial arts to create a strong foundation before awakening the bloodline.

[Inside Lucas's room]

Lucas was dozing on a book beside his window. He fell asleep while reading a book about weapon forging. Suddenly a flash of green lightning emerged from his hand and gave him a shock.

"What was that?" Lucas sprang up from his chair. But he found himself in a different place. "This is not my room?" he questioned himself. He quickly looked around his surroundings, but it was too dark to see anything. In that pitch darkness, he wasn't sure where he was standing.

Lucas kept looking all around for a clue or anything until he noticed, "What's these little dots of green light illuminating in a distance... Well, there we go, a clue at last." Lucas thought.

Slowly, Lucas started to walk towards the dots of green light. A cold wisp of wind rushed behind Lucas. "WOOH, so cold" trembled, Lucas. The closer he went to the light, the cooler the wind became.

[Woooosh Swoosh] The freezing wind began to flow from all directions.

"Damn, it's so cold," Lucas shivered, feeling the bone-chilling cold wind. In the darkness, Lucas can tell that he is walking on a snowy mountain.

"I need to use my ability right now, or I will perish in this darkness," Thought Lucas unable to bear the darkness and the cold anymore.

Concentrating his essence on his leg, Lucas muttered in a low voice, "SHIFT" [Green Lightning wrapped around Lucas's legs. A deafening shrilling sound pierced through the darkness, leaving sparks of green lightning behind.]

In a blink of an eye, Lucas found himself standing in front of a giant door, "Wow, the skill worked, not bad for a first-timer," Smirked Lucas at his own success.

"If only we had this kind of skill back then," Lucas sighed, remembering how people used to travel by foot and horses, "Humanity has evolved so much. I need to get stronger." He mumbled while examining the giant door.

On the giant door, there were unknown runes and inscriptions. "So, these infused runes are the sources of those dots of light," Thought Lucas. His eyes were brimming with curiosity. His thirst for knowledge grew even brighter.

Out of curiosity, Lucas began to study the runes and inscriptions on the giant door. "Don't I look like an ant in front of this giant door?" Lucas laughed.

After a few hours, "It looks like I need to use my essence in all the shining runes at the same time," Lucas thought. "But my body is that of a eight-year-old kid, and if I use a huge amount of essence, my body might break down," he mumbled, clenching his little fists.

Lucas thought hard, but there was no other way. He studied the door one more time, then looked at his surroundings. "Well, it looks like I have to risk my life to open this door, or else I might never get out of this place," He muttered with a worried look on his face.

"Don't worry, use your lightning essence on the door," an unknown voice of a woman whispered in Lucas's ear.

"Who is there," Lucas screamed in fear. The voice of that woman seemed familiar to him.

The woman replied in a soft voice, "Listen to my instruction if you want to live... You will find all your answers beyond this door."

Lucas concentrated his essence just like before but, the amount is very high compared to when he used his skill [SHIFT]. The turbulence of lightning started to form around Lucas. The light and crackling of his lightning essence started to pierce through the darkness.

At this moment, our Hero's essence and power far surpassed that of Eons, but Lucas didn't know that. He continued to gather his essence until he heard the voice of that unknown woman, "Shoot it now." Without further delay, he shot the raw and unstable green essence on the door.

[Whoosh] Turbulences of bone-chilling cold air came gushing out of the giant door and the runes were shining brightly. "Brrrr," shrieked Lucas, clattering his teeth. "Couldn't you have warned me, you damn woman, are you trying to save me or kill me?" Lucas said while shivering.

Finally, the door opened, and Lucas rushed inside.

The room inside the door was shining due to the white magic crystals embedded into the wall. It was a small room with a book stand in the center.

"What the hell? Only two books, are you kidding me? After all that mystery and only two books," Lucas yelled in anger.

"The book on the left contains the knowledge of all five dimensions," the unknown woman spoke once again.

"Five dimensions, but ain't there only three dimensions, the Heavenly palace, the Human Realm, and the Demon Realm," Inquired Lucas out of curiosity. But, the woman didn't answer his question.

"The book on the right can simulate one's bloodline to bring out their full potential. Its ability is to make a person unimaginably strong," The unknown woman spoke again. This time, Lucas kept his questions to himself, knowing that the voice would not answer his questions like before.

"Finally, the third book contains all the details about the greatest war and, in order to obtain the third book, you need to bring all the pieces of the cursed seal and put them on the six glowing runes on the door or destroy the other two books and, the third book will appear. Now choose carefully, because after choosing one book, you will only be able to enter this place after ten years." the voice of the woman slowly fade away.

"I need all the knowledge I can get, but the third book, hmm, no, I can't destroy these precious books just like that. Even if I obtain the third book, I am too weak to do anything. Right now, I don't think that I need power. If I obtain knowledge, then I can use that knowledge to become powerful by myself," Lucas thought deeply, as the opportunity is too good to be wasted.

"I have never depended on borrowed power, neither in the past nor now. I choose the left book of knowledge. I will get stronger by myself with this knowledge," Lucas said happily. He went towards the book and took it from the golden case.

[Wooosh] The book instantly dematerialized and entered Lucas's mind.

"Arrrgh, my head," Lucas screamed, holding his head as countless information kept rushing into his brain. A few hours passed until the pain in his head stopped.

Lucas fell, and his consciousness started to fade away. He could hear a familiar voice calling his name over and over again.

"Oh, is that you, Emilia, my love," mumbled Lucas while trying to open his eyes.

"Master Lucas, Master Lucas," the maid kept calling outside his room.

Lucas jolted up from his sleep, "What?? Who?" Seeing he is still in his room, he sighed a breath of relief. "Ouch," A sharp pain came from his leg, "Frostbite," mumbled Lucas in surprise. seeing traces of ice on his toes.

Hearing the maids calling him, Lucas didn't have much time to arrange his thoughts. "Coming, coming, please stop shouting," he grumbled and opened the door.

"What's going on?" inquired Lucas in exhaustion. He didn't get much sleep after all.

"Madam Evylin wants Master Lucas to visit the alchemy house to bring her the medicines she ordered last month." the maid answered.

By nodding his head, Lucas dismissed the maid. Still deep in thought, he changed his clothes and began to head towards the alchemy house.
