Snickers

The sky seemed moody trailing from sunny to windy mood. It was the weather perfect for college students as it was neither too hot nor too cold. The students walking around the campus were relaxed, unlike the hectic chaos, it was a week back.

After the incident in the club, Rin and her friends had left the party and returned to the dorms. No one has talked about the incident since then. The people in the club seemed to have forgotten about it or maybe it was something that happened too regularly in the club, so people didn't pay attention to these skinds of things.

But Rin had a third option, Asher and his friends- it had something to do with them. But anyhow she doesn't mind. At the end of the day what matters was, they are not in the center of attention anymore.

A day after the party, the college officially began. Since then the college seemed like a bustling crowd where everyone was running of to find their schedules and stuff. Students had difficulty in finding their allocated classrooms and the campus was like a war ground. Pushing and pulling through the crowd to be not too late for the classes. The funniest thing was the students who had classes scheduled in two opposite corners of the campus had to run a marathon or take the shuttle bus.

Rin pitied them. She was glad all her classes were in nearby buildings. But Leyla and Mia were not lucky enough their classes for Fashion major were at the opposite end from their normal classrooms. It was quite a sight to watch the girls scraming for their classes in their high heels.

Rin was truly grateful for the fact that Rehan shared the same majors as her. Even Asher was in Aeronautics major. Rehan was allotted as Rin's mentor.

Every students had a mentor who would give guidance to them and help them through their courses and academic stuff.

All the notes and study materials she needed was handed down to her by Rehan. He had also advised her about the do's and don't's in their majors and also warned about the professors. He was even kind enough to remind her which classes she could slack and not.

Rin truly felt Rehan was the epitome of a kind and wise senior.

Asher too shared the Aeronautics major with her. So she was frequently acquainted by his appearance. They usually had their lunches and breaks together on the days they shared Aeronautics classes.

Due to the fact that everybody had double majors , the classes of the both majors were scheduled as 3 days for one and another 4 days for the other major.

Girls were quite rare in this major, the total number of girls in the major could be counted in fingers. Rin was one of the three girls in the aeronautic freshmen year, the other two girls always were always together and was friendly with her but Rin was a loner in nature unless it was people whom she was close to.

So Rehan and Asher usually joined her for lunches. It should be an understatement if she said she had become closer with these two.

Rin's major was quite hectic and tiring. Rehan repeatedly warned her to take frequent breaks and proper rest if she wanted to lead a healthy life for the rest of her course years.

Insomnia was the only thing that affected Rin's life. The fact she got too less sleep was increasedly worrying the people around her. Ryan and Logan let her sleep through psychology classes so she could get enough rest. Leyla and Mia were trying all types of remedies for insomnia to help her. She was grateful for having such wonderful friends.

Her parents called everyday and asked about her whereabouts while her brother under the pretext of mocking and teasing her would try to keep her mood in check.

Rin literally stumbled out of the classroom, Fluid Dynamics and Solid Mechanics classes literally sucked her life force. She started questioning her life decisions. The reality and dream seemed too different.

Fluid dynamics and solid mechanics were not part of her dreams. She wailed internally regretting her choices. She felt dizzy as her brain was wrapped with equations and theories. She slumped on one of the couches in lounge with airpods in her ears. She had a free hour right now, so she decided to sleep for sometime before she passes out due to exhaustion.

Very soon she fell asleep, her sleeping posture was quite adorable. She was sitting on the couch with her legs folded and her head slumped backward. Her face was covered by her hoodie.

This was the sight that greeted Asher and Rehan when they arrived in the lounge.

Rehan smirked staring at Asher and then left. Asher walked towards her and sat next to Rin. He watched her soft face which was covered with the hoodie. But her pink lips were visible along with partial view of nose. She looked very innocent and peaceful.

But her head slumped backwards looked quite uncomfortable, so Asher slowly moved her head before making her lean on his shoulders which seemed much more comfortable than the previous position.

He felt happy, warm and complete with her leaning on him.

"Move your shoulders a bit downwards Ash."

A sleepy voice sounded making him look downwards. Asher saw a sleepy Rin pulling his arms making herself more comfortable before leaning into him and went back to sleep again.

Asher knew Rin was a light sleeper. But the fact she made herself more comfortable instead of pushing him made him smile. Asher knew that there was a spark between them. Seeing that he was not only the one who felt that way made him escatic.

Rin had been awakened by Asher's movements but for the physically and mentally exhausted Rin, comfortable rest was much important than the feelings of ambiguousity she had towards him.

Asher knew that the lazy girl snuggling on his arms just wanted to sleep comfortably. But according to her personality, this little move of her clearly indicated the trust she had in him.

The duo rested peacefully creating an image of a peaceful and romantic couple leaning on each other. Both Asher and Rin felt a sense of contentment and warmth, unaware of the storms that was beginning to stir trouble for them.
