A few months later...
(Meliodas POV)
The first few weeks were torturous as I had to remain in a hand-stand without moving for a few hours and time felt so slow during this process as I was on the brink of giving up multiple times. On top of that, I was instructed by Chandler to keep my demon mark on for as long as I could as it would stabilize my current power to ensure that it doesn't go out of control which added on to the fatigue I was feeling. The first day was so simple as I was only told to do some moderate exercises like pushups and situps but they were simple due to me already doing them before in my room as I was determined to be even better than my manga counterpart as I plan on changing some events that happened in the canon story.
But I might forget considering that the major events of the manga happen around 3,495 years from now aside from the holy war which is actually possibly going to happen in around 100 years or so. How I know the exact years is that my soon to be little brother Zeldris is not going to be born for another 245 years or so which is around the time when it ends. I recently discovered that high ranked demons have a low birth rate as I had heard my parents doing the deed each time my father comes back from what he usually does which was managing the demon race and ensuring that the treaty with the Goddesses remains in affect. Possibly noticing that I could hear them, my father later lectured me about his version of the birds and bees as he explained that while low- ranked demons like the red and grey demons have high birth rates. High ranked demons like me don't as it is like if you were to put on a condom but multiply it by three and that is the percent of the birth rate of high ranked demons.
Sometimes it was hard to sleep hearing them but I soon got used to it by the second week of Chandler's training by shoving pillows over my head making me slept peacefully since then. Speaking of training, I am now currently using a wooden sword against a wooden dummy as Chandler wanted me to practice my footwork on where to precisely strike against the enemy.
After around thirty minutes or so after practicing with the mannequin, Chandler who was already starting to bond with me then told me to sprint several laps around the Castle wall as he performed magic to increase the weight on me as I was already used to doing it for months. So with my demon mark activated sprinted as much as I could without stopping and the best way to describe of gravity from his magic would be around ten times more than normal.
I don't how long I was outside the walls but my body was already on the brink of collapse but I pushed through the fatigue due to my mentor Chandler encouraging me to push further as he essentially yelled out the fact that I had only one lap to go.
After making it through the final lap I collapse due to exhaustion as I could hear Chandler cry manly tears as he was proud of my accomplishment as I felt him cancel his magic which lifted off the gravity as he picks me up over his shoulder as we headed off home.
"Young Meliodas, I know that my training can be difficult at times but yet, you still pull through despite the circumstances of you giving up vastly increasing with each training session." I can see some tears beginning to form in his eyes. " What I'm trying to say is that I'm very glad that your father ordered me to train you as to become a candidate for the throne of becoming the next Demon King. So from now on, I will address you as Sir Meliodas." He finishes as manly tears begin to fall out of his eyes as he enters through the city gates while approaching the palace as the demons passing by give him weird looks and even weirder when they see me on his shoulder as they wonder why their prince is on some random old man's shoulder. ' Sate Sate Sate Sate, I wouldn't be surprised if rumors were to spread about him at this rate.' I giggle internally as I wonder what other magical abilities I should learn that can help me out later in the future. I know later down the line, Chandler is going to train me on how to use Full Counter or least the magical portion of it that only reflects magical attacks. Despite it's name, it doesn't deserve the courtesy of being called Full Counter as I remember that Estarossa had a similar ability of the same name but instead it only reflected physical attacks instead.
I've decided; When Chandler gives me the opportunity to learn it, I want to not only learn the magical aspect but also the physical portion of Full Counter and only then will I consider it to be truly known as Full Counter.
