Chapter 10- You can call me Cale

Random was now scared sh*tless. Before he was only scared . Why? He had a backing. Arm was his backer.

He knew that Arm will hunt the two in front of him. So he had a thought of scaring them.

Anyone can see that an organization like 'Arm' is stronger than these two. That was where he was proud of. Being a part of such an organization was something that made him proudful.

He had a backing. Keyword 'had'. Random realized his mistake after being slapped. The pain snapped him out to the reality.

Who was he? A member of 'Arm'. Pfttt. He was the lowest rank possible. He was a canon fodder to an organization as big as 'Arm'.

Random was not completely loyal to 'Arm'. He was loyal but not to the extent of sacrificing himself.

Many low ranks had this thought. Of course there are exception. Some are fanatics who are absolutely loyal to 'Arm'.

Why? Only they know.

Random realized his situation and instantly kneeled. He grovelled on the ground. He was shaking as he pleaded. Random said some disgusting sh*t.

Cale frowned at this. He knew Simon was not normal. But, He did not think Simon was a crazy guy that had such preferences.

Simon also frowned at Random with disgust. Seeing Simon frown, Cale realized he just tagged Simon as a crazy guy for no reason.

Cale was really annoyed at this world. There are so many experts in this world, It seems like a Murim world.

He had included the part of not messing with anyone in his plans because A neighbouring cook can be a poison expert. He needed to be careful.

As for Simon, He was really disgusted. Random almost made him puke. He was about to ask another thing but suddenly the dead mage opened his eyes.

Simon was scared. How does a dead guy open his eyes. He immediately jumped backwards.

The mage had blood-red eyes. He looked around and grinned evilly. He was one of the few exceptions that was absolutely loyal to 'Arm'.

He had activated a spell the moment before he died because he knew that the others of his team were not loyal like him.

Simon and Cale knew this wasn't good. So they ran with all their might.

They had reached around 10 metres away from the bodies as a smell came. It was so bad that both of them wanted to puke.

They somehow controlled the urge as they turned around. And were shocked. Nothing. They saw nothing. Not a single trace of anything.

The assassins were gone. No trace of them. Even the weapons were gone. The smell also vanished. It felt like nothing happened.

Cale and Simon looked at each other. Both were so confused, It might kill their brains. This was too different from the novel that they read.

So, both of them thought of a possibility of this being an Alternate version of the novel. Simon and Cale remained there for a while.

Simon finally decided to go check it. If he didn't, He was sure Cale would ditch the Ancient Power.

He slowly walked as Zero came out and walked ahead.

Zero went there and nothing happened. Simon and Cale slowly followed.

They then saw that there was nothing there. It became very silent. Soon, Simon sighed as he turned to Cale and asked.

"Now what?"

Cale was stunned at the question and thought about it. He then said after a moment.

"Help me do something."

Simon didn't expect this request but nodded. Now that the canon was messed up.

There will be a butterfly effect so he decided to watch and figure things out.

As for Cale, He had a different thought. Unlike Simon who was focusing on canon, Cale focused on the situation more.

If someone thought of destroying that tree, That person knows that there is an Ancient Power there. He thought of a possibility.

It was scary so he ditched that thought. He had a feeling he needed to get this Ancient Power.

Many variables came in today. His plan was messed and he knew he might get attacked. So he needed something to protect himself.

Cale knew their target was the tree. But he got dragged into it. He knew he will get attacked so he might as well be prepared.

Cale had 10 million gallons. It was still not finished. He needed help now. He couldn't risk things by showing Ancient Power infront of others.

But Simon was fine. He noticed Simon was slightly nervous and a puppeteer.

A puppeteer did not exist in BoAH but as there are many experts hiding. Puppetry might also exist.

For this job, he needed many hands but couldn't let others know about the Ancient Power. A puppeteer was the perfect fit. Simon did not seem like an immature kid that ran his mouth.

So Cale decided to risk it all. For his life he would take any risks.

"I want to ask you something. How many puppets can you control?"

Simon replied with a '10'.

"Perfect"

Cale explained his plan to Simon who was stunned. Simon did not expect Cale to think like this. Simon thought about it and agreed.

This was the best way in this worst condition. He then moved his hands forward making a gesture of handshake.

Simon introduced himself.

"My name is Simon... Call me Simon. I am a puppeteer. Nice to meet you... Young Master-nim"

Cale stared at Simon for a while. He moved his hands forward and did a handshake. He replied.

"Cale Henituse. You can call me Cale."

Simon smiled at this and both of them began their plan.
