They exited the room, bringing along the cage, they went into the Living Room where Ramon and other guests were waiting. They were surprised to see that the unknown guests were wearing oversize cloaks with an intricate pattern along the edges, but what was more unexpected was that all of them were wearing masks.
The middle one wears a white oval mask that gives off an iridescent shine; like a moonstone. The other two behind him have black oval masks, but those masks didn't give off any reflection or shine; like shadows.
'The middle one must be the customer'. They all thought.
Ramon nervously stood up and began with his business talk
"Sorry for the sub-par hospitality, this is the only safe place we could find so far. Hope this doesn't let your interest dwindle by this. However, what we have on hand is a good product-"
His talk was cut off because Jed whispered to his ear. Afterward, Ramon's face began to freeze, he tried to swallow back his nervousness while organizing his thoughts.
"...Although, there's a slight defect, but this doesn't affect the quality by a lot."
Silence reigned down the room, they didn't dare move an inch and waited for the guest to respond.
Seconds passed, the person in the middle raised his hand. Immediately, one of the guys behind started talking. "He wants to see the product first."
"Right right yes... Right away. Hey, bring it in here." Ramon anxiously answered. The four of them carried the cage in front of the guest and slowly removed the cloth.
The sleeping Lycan appeared right before their eyes, bound by ropes and only wearing boxers. Both his arms have sleeve tattoos that reached up to his shoulders and a written tattoo on the side of his ribs, wore several piercings on both his ears and a buzz cut style with line.
Ramon immediately whispered to Simon "What the fuck, I thought you caught something decent, what the fuck is this? He's more like an addict. It's a fucking insult, especially to them." He was furious.
"Do you know how hard it is to catch a Lycan these days? They're considered rare. We were lucky we were able to find a young Lycan regardless of his appearance." Simon refuted.
His reasoning wasn't enough to simmer down his anger "It's fine if it's some random customer but we can't be careless with this one. Do you have any idea who he is?"
"Is he from a higher noble house?" Simon asked.
Ramon glared at him. "Yes, he's one of 'those' houses, that person is from the Vincenc house".
When he heard his answer, he was astounded. 'Vincenc? Fucking hell.'
"Why the fuck didn't you say in the first place?? Fuck we're dead." He swore.
"They were looking for Lycans and I couldn't pass up this once in a blue moon opportunity! I already told them I have a Lycan on hand and they wanted to see it right away, I was running out of time, alright?!" he whispered harshly to him.
The person with the white mask stood up, he walked closer to the cage and began to observe the person inside,
The two stopped talking. Ramon cautiously approached the person. "Even though he looks like that, I assure you that he is very healthy and hasn't contracted any diseases. We make sure that quality is our utmost priority." He tried to talk his way to the buyer to avoid any negative reaction.
There was a pregnant pause. Then he slowly asked, "What happened to his leg?" All of them were taken aback by his voice, they never heard such a unique baritone.
Ramon glance at Simon, signaling him to speak. "To be honest, it was our genuine mistake, it was a lapse of judgment on our part- causing an injury on his leg. Nevertheless, we promised you that this is only an external wound." Simon explained.
"I see. I want to see him up close. Can you bring him out and untie him?" He asked.
"Ah yes yes! Of course, It is an honor for us to show you our product." They swiftly started to take him out of the cage and remove the ropes. They laid him down on the carpet for better observation.
The guest bent down to look at the person closely. "When and where was he caught?"
"Ah! He was caught just a few hours ago near Toulouse rural town- by the forest."
The guest hummed as a response, he observed him for a few minutes then slowly stood up. "I'll take him." He commanded his guards to take away the Lycan and took a huge pouch filled with gold under his cloak.
"Here's the payment for the purchase. Added a little bit as thanks, glad doing business with you." He gave it to Ramon and left the house along with the guards.
The hunters were awestruck for a good while, Jed was the first one to react. "HOLY FUCK MOTHER FUCKER! CAN'T BELIEVE MY EYES!!! HE BOUGHT OUR PRODUCT!" He yelled.
"Shut the fuck! He can still hear you!" Ramon shouted back. Next, he slowly slumped down against the wall. "Shit… Fuckin' never in the wildest dream did not expect he'll buy. Worst case, he'll just kill us outright for mocking him." He was still in disbelief.
"Hey, we were Fuckin' lucky this time. Guess fate took pity on us and bless us with this... Still, I never thought he liked that kind of Lycan." Brian contemplated.
Connor snorted "Yo Ramon, so who is he? Judging by his appearance and the way he brought himself can't be some low ranked person."
He smirked "Hah.. bet you can't believe it when I told you it's the head of the Vincenc house."
All of them except Simon was astonished by this. "You're shitting me, right? Vincenc? I mean even Silva or Canossa or any other house I'm having a hard time believing but Vincenc? damn.."
Ramon sighed "I was like that the first time but it's all true. It's the real Vincenc house; saw the symbol."
Connor whistled. "Well then, bless my soul. This reward would last me a lifetime. It's worth the effort we did throughout these years."
They all laughed at what he said. Brian then thought "Wonder what he sees on that Lycan. I get that they're all the rage these past few years but still... Surprises me that he bought him. With his power and influence, he could get the best of the best easily."
Jed punched his arm. "Hey, enough of that. Be grateful he was willing to buy him, plus, he was generous enough to give us huge money. Let's just celebrate, yeah?"
Brian chuckled. "Right, let's celebrate our success." They packed up and left the place to commemorate their successful transaction.
