Both Insane

"Why?" Lia asked as she looked back at her feet.

Frank's eyes were closed as he was leaning against the tree. Upon hearing Lia questioning him, he turned his head toward her without opening his eyes.

"I want you all to myself," he said.

"Aren't I yours already?" Lia asked again touching Frank's bangs that had come down on his forehead.

Frank pouted with his eyes closed at his hair being touched at which Lia sniggered silently.

"I hate it when someone other than me looks at you. I hate feeling you could leave me any time you want. I wish you had no choice but to be always with me," Frank answered without any hesitation.

His eyes were closed, maybe that was why he didn't notice; the expression on her face, Julia had when she heard him. A tangled expression, biting her lower lip to stop them from forming a twisted grin, blushed cheeks, and shaking wide pupils. She looked like a starved beast who was given prey that it couldn't eat at the moment. The first time she had felt this; the lust and desire for someone.

"You like me that much?" she asked covering her mouth with her hand.

"Yes. So much that I think I would go mad," Frank said still with his eyes closed.

"What do you like about me?" (Lia)

"Your light." (Frank)

"Is that all you like about me?" Lia said in an irritated tone just to tease Frank a little.

Frank opened his eyes and looked at Lia. Again those dark blue eyes staring right into hers, sent chills up Lia's spine.

"Your face, eyes, hair, ears, lips, hands, legs, neck, voice, smile, tears, breaths; every single thing with your trace, I like it all. If it is up to me, I would eat you up so you become a part of me. But that would mean I would never see your smile and feel your warmth. And I don't want to stop kissing and hugging you. I heard the maids say when you grow up, you touch each other in a special way so that you can make children. I want to make children with you that would look like us. And I also want to get married to you so I have an excuse to keep you locked up in our house that I would build for us to live in. I will give you anything you desire and keep you and our children all to myself. And...," Frank was going to continue when Lia stopped him by placing her hands on his mouth.

This was too much. The one teasing ended up being teased. Lia couldn't stop herself from blushing. What did he say? Touch in a special way? Children? Get married? And he would build a house for them? Lia's mind stopped working for some moments and she forcibly stopped Frank from talking any further.

"Dan... Dai ud tiss du devry day... dan (And.. I would kiss you every day... and)," Frank said speaking through Lia's hand. Lia pushed her hand even harder to completely shut him up.

Standing up abruptly, Lia dashed out of the garden and soon disappeared from Frank's sight.

But this time Frank wasn't feeling scared about Lia suddenly leaving him. Because he had seen the face Lia made before she ran away. It was a face completely red and grinning from ear to ear. If Lia hadn't run away, God knew what he might have done to her.

'Is this what Sylvia said she felt,' Frank thought again leaning against the tree. 'Is this what she called the pleasure of being in possession of our obsession?'

Sylvia had told Frank a lot about how the bi-core beings were with their obsessions. In their entire lifetime, a bi-core being acquired a necessary trait; a blind obsession towards something. In both Frank and Sylvia's cases, it was a human. Sylvia told Frank a lot of ways and methods to deal with their target human. But there was a major drawback in a bi-core's obsession, they needed their precious being as it was. Once it broke, it lost its meaning. So as Sylvia had told him, Frank has would have to win Lia just the way she was without breaking her. Once she broke, Frank would fall into the despair of a bi-core being who had lost his obsession. A state where nothing could stop them and they would warp everything around them into a whirlwind of destruction using their ultimate skill - "Absolute Control".

Sylvia was especially cautious whenever she mentioned the skill "Absolute Control" which she allegedly called the last and pinnacle stage of power a bi-core could reach. There were only two ways to use "Absolute Control", first, train your mana cores and learn the skill in order, and second, kill your precious being and go berserk with Absolute Control.

As much as Frank would have liked to use Absolute Control as fast as he could, he treasured Lia too much to be using the second method. So his only option was to learn via the first method from Sylvia.

Frank once asked Sylvia if she had ever used Absolute Control when she was alive. She said she did once but never again. When Frank asked why never again, she responded," I disappointed someone I greatly respected."

It sounded like bullshit coming from Sylvia's mouth because as far as he had known her, Sylvia wasn't someone who could respect anyone. She called the goddess whom everyone worshipped a 'perverted hag' and called her own brother, who supposedly died in the war to protect her, a ' stupid mutt' saying that she never needed protection. There was no way that 'that' Sylvia could respect someone. She seemed like someone who would slit the throat of her own children if necessary for her obsession.

If anything, Frank was just curious as to see who this 'respected' person was whom even 'that' Sylvia remembered with such a somber face.
