What you want to see...

Frank immediately shut the door of the house as soon as he caught sight of Sylvia. He sighed and opened the door again thinking what he just saw must have been an illusion since he was thinking about Sylvia.

Yet again, the door opened to Sylvia's lit figure, who was now looking for Frank to confirm whether she was delusional or if he was actually there. The way Sylvia rushed at him almost made Frank tell her that it was a delusion. But as the situation was a bit incomprehensible, he honestly told her all about the eye of truth and the house of the witch Agnito Ilea.

Sylvia stared at the door open to the yard of the house as she circled around it, contemplating. At some point, she stopped and looked at the manikin. She said," Drag me back if I start to disappear."

Saying that she yeeted through the door, leaving both Frank and the manikin's jaws dropped. They followed her back out. There she was, fine if anything. Yet she looked so pleased. She looked around her cheerfully, running from one place to another.

"How long has it been!" she yelled to herself. "I'm out! Finally out of that dreaded forest. I can see the stars! The air isn't filled with dead people! Those annoying fireflies aren't sucking on me!"

The moment she felt calm, a spasm went through her body as she became translucent. The manikin rushed toward her and tugged on her long hair, pulling her back into the forest through the door. As Frank silently watched her walking back into the forest, he tried to shut the door on their way back.

"Don't do that! Don't shut the door! It'll disappear," Sylvia shouted sitting down and finally becoming somewhat less translucent.

Frank left the door open and asked," What is it then? How do I get to the eye of the truth now? This was the only lead I had."

"Dumb brat, let me catch my breath for a second," Sylvia muttered for a while as Frank stood there quite offended.

"That eye thing, did you read the diary that the foreign prince (Lucifer) gave you?" she asked after she became entirely opaque again.

"Yes, it is an artifact that shows anything that we wish to see, the past, the future, or a truth you wish to know," Frank said looking out of the door to the yard of the witch's house.

"You said you were thinking about me when you opened the door of that house, didn't you?" (Sylvia)

"Yes, I was." (Frank)

"You saw what you wanted to see then, didn't you?"

"You could put it that way." (Frank)

"And what does the eye of truth do?"

"It shows you what you want to... see." (Frank)

Frank fell silent for a moment. He looked at the door and then at Sylvia who had a smug face. As the realization hit him, he ran out of that door and stared at the house. He looked at Sylvia through the open door and said," The eye of truth, it's the house, isn't it? The house itself is the eye of truth."

Sylvia clapped her hands with a proud smile and said," Figures."

She whispered something to the manikin and the manikin came out through the door, shutting it behind him. Lights started to flow around it as it gathered all the mana energy it could from the atmosphere. And within seconds, the house was minimized to the size of a bottle.

Frank picked it up and again vanished into the air with his brilliant flight ability, heading straight to the Brooklyn library. It was time to receive his title and his mana-hiding artifact.

He reached the library and entered without knocking. As he knew there was no one. Lucifer had informed him through the manikin that he might be absent by the end of the month if 'circumstances' didn't go well. It probably meant the rebellion.

Frank placed the house on an artifact in Lucifer's room and as it disappeared, a paper and a box appeared. The paper had the title of a Count approved and inside the box was a pair of ear piercings. Long black chain-like ones with magic stones studded in.

Frank opened them and put them on without hesitation. He didn't have his ears pierced, so he just went along with how the artifact went in, piercing his ears along the way. As soon as he finished putting them on, he felt a surge of mana disappearing from around him.

The artifact was working but it suddenly made Frank lethargic. Maybe because it was his first time dealing with magic stones. He fell asleep on Lucifer's bed.
