The first thing I did after leaving the Arel residence was to go to Lumor's Cathedral to pray to the gods and to see if I had new skills.
As a matter of fact,I had learned two new skills. The first one was called:Modification,it was a green/common skill that allowed it's user to modify the shape of something that he had in his hand.
The second one was named Affinity, it was a Orange/Heroic skill that a lot of mages had.It was a skill that allowed it's user to grow a permanent affinity with one element, for example if you are in a Storm and you activate the skill, you would grow a wind affinity. It would work the same way during Thunder,an earthquake,a tsunami,a fire…
It was a one use skill but it was quite useful.
People with this skill often grew different affinities although most people only have one affinity, they are called low-mages.People that have an affinity for two elements are called medium-mages and people that have an affinity with three or more elements are called high-mages.
After half an hour,I left the Cathedral and headed to the adventurer house,a place named First Guild.I inscribed myself as a common adventurer.(adventurer's ranks are based on the same system as skill's ranks).
For almost a month I did all kinds of quests and ended up being a rare adventurer.
I had gathered enough money to buy myself what I needed:a cape,a mask and a long black spear.I also bought a map of the elven continent.Because my new goal was to reach the Dark elves territory:the Dark Forest, a place where I could live without being discriminated or sold as a slave.
After two weeks of travel at the back of a chariot,I arrived at Lourg,a city that was built around a port.
Two days after that,a magic boat that headed to the elven continent came and I took my ride to the continent I was supposed to reach. The journey took only a week since the boat functionned with magic to move.
We then arrived in a big naval city called Ergis,it was the entrance to the 3 different territories where the dark, light and normal elves lived. It was a neutral zone.I booked a room for the night at the cheapest inn I could find and slept almost as soon I landed on the bed.
The next morning,I wandered around Ergis buying supplies for my journey through the elven kingdom.
I also loaned a horse and at noon I was ready to go,which I did.I rode the horse for a week before letting him go as I was entering the Dark Forest.
The Dark Forest was known to be a place where the monsters were quite strong and dangerous.
