Dark Elf - Chapter 11 - The Counselor

I climbed the stairs for another twenty minutes before arriving at the main entrance of the castle.

As I walked through the first arch,a man wearing a weird red costume came to me and asked me what business I had in the castle.So I showed him the letter with the big red stamp on it and said that I had to give it to the king's counselor.He told me that I could meet him after thirty minutes.

I was wandering alone near the entrance when a man in a red costume,(butlers they were called) came to me and told me that the counselor was ready to meet me.

As soon as I walked through the door,I saw a man,he had black long hair,yellow eyes and was wearing glasses.He gave me a familiar feeling but I couldn't say why…

I gave him the letter and he began to read it silently but after a while he read it out loud:

"I Tarkol of the Registration Bureau send this letter to the king's counselor...I hereby declare that the son of the last Queen,your sister is alive and well... he is the masked kid that gave this letter to you...he is named Haru W. Senso and is 8...we confirmed it by multiple blood tests...Tarkol,Registration Bureau…"

The counselor almost instantly turned toward me and I saw tears in his eyes.That's because in fact,the counselor was my biological mother's younger brother.So he was my uncle and I his nephew.

To be right I was the son of the Late Queen and the actual King that has remarried.I vaguely remember the king,because he was the one that gave me my name William before leaving my mother alone near the battlefield.He went to fight but two days later,the fights came near where my mother and I were and that's how she died, trying to protect me.

My uncle then started by asking me where I was and if I had a new family.He then told me that in fact,my grandparents from my mother side were still alive and that they were ex-adventurers and nobles that are now teachers for poor children and orphans.

And just like that my uncle and I talked about a lot of things for more than two hours,he even cancelled meetings that he had and other things just to talk with me.
