Power overflowed from Kaz, making his aura explode out and instantly create a huge blast of wind that even cracked the pillars holding up the roof. Korin was nearly blown away, but just barely managed to stay on the tower.
"T-This power! It really worked! Your almost twice as strong as before!" Even the normally calm Korin was taken aback by the power the Kaz suddenly gained.
"I know! It's incredible!" Kaz was lost in the feeling of his own power that he didn't even notice the new skill that he had gained.
Suddenly Korin attacked, aiming a punch at Kaz's head. And Kaz, without even looking, blocked it.
"What are you doing?" Kaz asked with a confused expression.
"Ha, don't worry, I was just testing your reflexes. Before when we fought you would have at least taken a step back from that attack, it seems that the Ultra Divine Water really did enhance you to incredible levels." Korin could sense Kaz's power, but he still wanted to test it for himself.
"It really did, I feel amazing! With this, I think I might be the third strongest being on the planet!" Kaz said as he suppressed his aura, not wanting to completely destroy the tower.
Korin raised his eyebrows in surprise. "And how do you know that?" He asked.
"Well I can only sense two people with stronger Ki than me, and unless there is someone here that is suppressing their power, then I am definitely the third strongest on the planet." Kaz replied without looking at Korin, still distracted by his new power.
"Is that so?" Korin said with a chuckle and looked at Kaz, waiting for him to realize what he just said.
"Yeah, both of these strong people seem to be right here as well, maybe they're above us. I can't believe I have already achieved this, third strongest on the plane-" Kaz stopped mid-sentence as his eyes widened. "Wait! I can sense Ki?!"
"You need to pay more attention to things, missing stuff like that in battle will get you killed." Korin laughed a little, enjoying the dumbfounded expression on Kaz's face.
"But how? I never learned how to do that!" Kaz was confused. (It's been four years since he watched the animes and his memory is very selective, meaning that he doesn't remember stuff that he doesn't care about, so he forgot most of the smaller details of the OG series.)
"I don't know, I guess it's a side effect from drinking the water." Korin told him.
'Damn, how do I not remember this? I shouldn't have forgotten something like this, right? Especially since it's such an important skill in the Dragonball universe.' Kaz thought to himself. He didn't pay much attention to the show whenever there was a plot armor power up like the Ultra Divine Water, so he didn't remember the details of it and just skimmed past it whenever he watched the anime.
"Anyway kid, what do you plan to do now? You said that King Piccolo won't return for another three years, so what will you do in the meantime, especially now that you have this power?" Korin asked, appearing worried, but he wasn't.
"Um, well, I think I'm going to train some more. I'm going to go to those two other powers and train with them. But first, I think I'm going to go to a town and get some stuff." Kaz replied.
'Obviously, those two other powers should be Kami and Popo. If I can train with them for the next few years I should be able to reach a power level of at least six or seven hundred, and at that strength, everything up until Raditz gets here will be easy. And in the time between then and Raditz's arrival, I should be able to train to at least his power level.' Kaz started fantasizing a little over learning the skills of Kami. (Korin cant hear him anymore after he taught Kaz how to block telepathy)
"What are you going to get? Those mortals have some fancy things down there, but I don't think any of it will be very useful to you." Korin asked, thinking Kaz wanted to get a car or something.
"Well, I wanted to get some new clothes. This magic Gi is nice, and it's comfortable, but I think I'll be to embarrassed to walk around in public with it on. They are very technology-focused down there, and martial artists aren't that popular anymore." Kaz explained. 'Though it'll get more popular in a few years.' He thought as the picture of a man with an afro popped into his head.
"Oh, is that it? That's an easy fix. I guess you will have to learn more magic at some point." Korin shook his head and pointed his staff at Kaz. "Clothes beam!" He said and a light shot out of the tip of his staff and all of the sudden Kaz was wearing blue jeans and a grey tank top. (His Gi appeared folded in his hands.
"Wha- How? How did you do that?" Kaz asked, very eager to learn the move. He had seen the technique in the anime, but it was never explained or touched on, it didn't even have a proper name. Well, not a canon one.
"I'd teach you, but you said that you are going to train with those two other powers, so I'm sure you can just learn from them." Korin chuckled.
"Thank you, master Korin, these are great. But I'll still be going to the town, I also want to get a phone and some headphones." Kaz was still a modern man(kid), even if he liked the lifestyle of just living in the forest with no worries about anything, he still wanted a connection to the internet.
"Okay kid, you do that. I hope you put your new power to good use. You have the potential to do great things with your power, and with that dormant heroic spirit of yours, you could even become a guardian of sorts for our world." Korin said, smiling vaguely on that last sentence.
"Heroic spirit?" Kaz said with a little excitement in his voice. He didn't know it, but he had developed a bit of a hero complex thanks to all of the anime he watched, so being told that made him a little excited.
Kaz also failed to realize what Korin was hinting at, so Korin just sighed and was about to send him off. But at that moment, the sky turned black.
"What the hell?" Kaz asked as he looked at the sky, which was now completely black, with stars being visible. Yet despite this, it was still light out.
"It's the middle of the day what's going on?" Kaz was pretty slow to think today as it took him a few seconds to realize what was happening. "Wait, is this-?"
"Looks like somebody summoned the Dragonballs. Funny, it's been quite a long time since that last happened." Korin commented and looked as he stared at the sky.
"Dragonballs?" Kaz said questioningly. Obviously, he knew what they were, but in Korin's eyes he shouldn't, so he feigned ignorance.
"Yes, they are seven magic, orange orbs with stars in them, that, when brought together, can summon a dragon that will grant any wish." Korin explained.
"I see, I didn't know something like that could even exist." Kaz said absentmindedly as he watched the sky. He didn't think that it would be such an amazing sight.
They both just stared at the sky for a while, until, after a few minutes, the sky returned to normal.
"Hmm, I wonder what they wished for. It was probably something like ultimate power, or infinite knowledge, those are the only logical wishes you can make right?" Korin commented while laughing, trying to guess what sort of wish was granted.
"Hehe, yeah, probably something like that. Though it probably wasn't ultimate power, I don't sense any new Ki." Kaz laughed.
"Well anyway master Korin, I should get going now. I still don't know if I can defeat King Piccolo yet (He can, at least the old one), so I don't want to waste any more time and get back to training." Kaz said and was about to start climbing back down the tower, but then he stopped. "Oh yeah, do you have any money?"
Normally Kaz would have been way too ashamed to ask something like that to anybody, but he has been living with Korin for three years and knows that Korin won't be using it, so he doesn't have an issue with asking.
"Money? Uh, I think I might have some, but it's from my last student so it'll probably be pretty old." Korin told him and opened a drawer, grabbing a stack of Zenni and handing it to Kaz.
"That's fine, old money is normally worth more anyway, so I can just sell it to some collector or something to get more. Thank you master Korin, I will be going now, take care." Kaz said as he bowed down in thanks, and left before Korin could say anything about it.
Kaz took off down the tower with incredible speed. In truth, with his current power, Kaz would even survive falling terminal velocity, but he felt like that wouldn't be enough of a workout, so he decided to climb down instead.
When he was able to see Boras camp he stopped and focused his Ki into his feet, then jumped off toward the closest city he could sense. He still couldn't fly yet, but due to his strength and Ki, he was able to jump incredibly far. He was going to try flying, but then he remembered the incident from when he had tried it in the forest, and decided against it, thinking that he would rather just wait until whenever he learned it from Kami.
"Alright Kaz, let's hurry to get that phone and headphones, I want to hurry and start training with Kami already." Kaz told himself, with a little too much impatience. It's really too bad for him that his plot armor is against him for this next arc.

Ginger Town, a random persons house.
A couple was in their bed, cuddling. It would have been a cute scene, if it weren't for the look of terror on the womens face.
"Honey, what is it?" The man asked as he looked at her, noticing that she was looking at something behind him.
"W-Who a-a-are y-you?" The women barely managed to say through the fear to the shadowy figure that she just watched climb into their room through the window.
"What?" The man suddenly understood and was about to turn around to confront whatever invader was in their house, but it was to late.
The shadowy figure just reached out and put his hand on the mans shoulder. The next second, the mans face swelled rapidly as his face turned red and he exploded, leaving blood everywhere.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAHH!" The women screamed in terror as she sat up, staring at the blood of her husband that covered her.
But before she could mourn, the man moved in to grab her as well. In horror, she tried her best to move out of the way, but she was so scared that she was petrified to that spot, unable to dodge.
The shadowy man simply grabbed the women's hand, as if nothing was wrong, and smiled.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!" The women screamed in terror again as her face swelled as well and she exploded.
The shadowy man stood up with a calm smile, holding something. He simply walked back over to the window and climbed out, calmly and peacefully exiting the building and leaving absolutely no trace of himself at the house.

Yeah, this next arc is going to be a bit of a murder mystery, though it'll probably be obvious to you guys who it is after a couple more chapters, you might even have an idea already. Just a warning, I have never written anything like this before, so it might be shit. If your wondering why I decided to do a murder mystery in a dragonball fanfic, well that's just because Kaz is going to be the hero type that likes to save people, so he needs to have an arc or two once in a while where he does that. Other then that, this'll also be where he makes his first friend, and I think this is a good setting for that.
Anyway, leave a few comments if you have any suggestions and a review if you feel like it. This only needs four more reviews and it will get its star rating, and people will be much more likely to start reading if it has one of those, so help me out a little if you want to. Though, if you do leave a review, make it honest. I do this to improve my writing in preparation for when I write an original novel, and I cant improve is I don't know what I'm doing wrong, so don't hesitate to give criticism, just don't be an asshole about it. Thanks for reading.
