Chapter 4

As soon as I heard the war horns, I rushed out of Zuko's Chambers. My ladies-in-waiting and Madam Alina was waiting for me outside the chambers.

" Take me to the Palace wall, Madam Alina. " I commanded feeling highly anxious.

Zuko was gone. Crown Prince Kylo Antiglone was gone too. The thoughts were scaring me.

I wanted to see what was happening on the battle ground. No matter how horrible it could be, I wanted to see everything just like I always did.

" Forgive me for this insolence, My Princess. You shouldn't go there. It's not safe. " Madam Alina voiced out her worry but I threw her a glare which shut her up.

" Take. Me. There. " My tone was grim. The silence prevailed after they realized, no one could convince me in this moment.

" As you wish, My Princess. " She bobbed me a curtsy and turned her back at me before she lead me to the walls.

The sky was clear as sun shone brightly in the distance. I reached the wall and stood at the side where it was the most safe as Madam Alina insisted over it. No archer was standing in this part as arrows were rarely hit at this curve and no one ever tried to climb this side of the wall.

The loud thumps which sounded when all horses ran over the ground was what caused me even more anxiety.

I looked down and found Crown Prince Kylo and Zuko ready to ride out in the war.

The Army was already in place, waiting for Crown Prince Kylo's command. I held my breath back, as Crown Prince Kylo walked his horse in front and raised his fist in the air.

Before he could say anything, I shivered slightly and looked up. It was not cold before. My eyebrows knitted together in confusion.

All of a sudden, Dark clouds began covering the sun and it's radiant sunlight. Darkness seemed to be looming everywhere like living-breathing bodies.

" We have never seen something like this before, My Princess. " Mary whispered from behind me, fear clear in her weak tone.

The loud noise of a whole Army approaching at full gallop rang in the air, as fear gripped my heart. The darkness appeared in the distance and slowly moved toward the battleground which was in front of the Palace.

First, black horses appeared and the darkness spread evenly. Then, men on foot followed suite. They looked small from here but as I watched dreadfully, they covered the half battlefield and there were more coming.

" Here, My Princess. " Madam Alina handed me the binoculars, which I received without looking at her.

What was happening? I had never watched an attack like this.

The shadows that were beginning to travel toward us shot upward and a gasp left my lips. They covered the sky, creating a protective shield of darkness for Dark King's Army.

" My Princess. What is happening? " Lara shrieked out and I craned my neck back to watch those moving shadows in horror.

Those shadows began engulfing the whole Kingdom and light disappeared from everywhere.

Chaos and Panic errupted.

I could hear civilians screaming and chanting from behind the Palace walls. They were saying some specific words.

THE DOOM HAS COME. It was what they were chanting.

LORD, SAVE US. They were calling Gods to help them.

" My Princess, we should go inside. " Madam Alina insisted again, but I raised my hand and she ended up shutting her mouth close.

Lifting the binoculars, I looked through the lens and gritted my teeth to not gasp in horror again.

There was a huge Army. Atleast, it was ten times bigger than our Army. My heart dropped down to the pit of my stomach.

The Dark King's Army was moving in sync. Their feet were making coordinated sounds. It would have looked astonishing to me if they were not here to cause destruction.

In this moment after watching their black armor and horses, I could think of only one thing, Death.

They were death itself.

I pushed the binoculars away from my eyes and glanced down to see Crown Prince Kylo Antiglone riding his Army out of the Palace gates. They had formed their formation in the battlefield and they were waiting for the war horns.

With each moment, my heart was starting to thump violently in my chest.

They were not going to win. The realization was cruel but it was rational.

Crown Prince Kylo Antiglone and My Brother - Zuko were riding on their white horses. They approached the front and the Army parted to give them way.

When the both armies faced each other head on, my heartbeat slowed down.

It was the most anticipated moment. Silence had fell over everyone as darkness surrounded us all.

" Save us, Lord. " I chanted the same thing to myself and kept my eyes fixed at my brother and Crown Prince Kylo Antiglone.

I was repeating the same chant to myself when the Dark King's Army started banging their spears on the ground, creating a disturbingly loud noise.

It was like something huge was about to happen.

" What's happening? " Lara was asking Mary, while Lily kept quite.

" Can I see, My Princess? " Lily stepped forth and spoke in her respectful tone.

I handed over the binoculars to her. She knew I was unable to see this horrendous sight from close, on my own but I wanted to know what was happening too.

Lily always knew everything about what I wanted, needed and feared.

" The Army is parting to give way to someone who is riding on a black horse. " Lily commented as she looked through the binoculars.

Who was coming?

" There is a black and golden colored horse trapping around that horse. It's...It's magnificient. " Lily admitted shamelessly and I threw her a glare when she was not looking.

" The horse rider is wearing a full plated black armor with black lining and... " Lily revealed further as we all listened to what she was saying.

" Darkness. Darkness follows him. " She whispered in horror and stumbled back as the binoculars slipped from her hands.

My face heated up and my eyes went wide as I forgot all about my Princess status. Bending down, I grabbed the binoculars and raised them to my eyes.

" Don't look, My Princess. " Lily's hand had unconsciously landed over my hand, halting my movement.

" I think - I think.. " She stuttered, as I eyed her down in confusion and dread filling my heart.

" She thinks Dark King has come with his Army to claim The Kingdom of Keragania this time. " Madam Alina put our worst fears in words and I staggered back on my feet.

No. No. No.

He was not coming. He never came to Kingdom of Keragania or Mylvania with his Army.

He did send his army. Many times. But he never accompanied them.

Lily, Mary and Lara shot me a look of horror and I stared at Madam Alina, feeling all hopes leaving my heart.

The war horn sounded and I snapped my head to look at the Armies again. Everything had turned out to be worse because he had come himself.

Dark King Cassian De Kiligian brought darkness.

I gulped down the lump in my throat along with my saliva and stepped closer to the wall with my eyes fixed at Dark King's Army in the distance.

" Hail To The Dark King! " Dark King's Army shouted in the distance and the whole ground shook as they slammed the end of their spears, creating a loud thump sound.

" For Keragania! " The war cries sounded from our side before Crown Prince Kylo and Zuko rode their horses toward the Dark King's Army which was approaching them with the same speed.

Everything was happening in slow motion. My breath was caught up in my throat, my hands curled up by my side.

It happened. Both Armies collided with each other in the middle and it was like a strong force sweeping everything off.

Kingdom Of Keragania's Army was pushed back and then surrounded instantly.

They fought.

As I watched from afar with my tear filled eyes, they fought for their land and the freedom of their people.

But the Dark King's Army was too strong. Even when there were no shadow attacks, Keragania's Army was drowning in their own blood.

" It's a lost cause, My Princess. We must escort you to safety. " Madam Alina declared in a horrified tone, but I never turned to look at her.

I wanted to find my brother in that bloody ground.

" It was Crown Prince Zuko's orders, My Princess. " Madam Alina revealed to me and I finally looked at her.

He was gone. Zuko was gone.

Dark King Cassian De Kiligian took my brother away.

The cries of agony were ringing in air along with the terrible clings of swords clashing.

It was once again Bloodshed, which I was forced to witness with a heavy heart.

" We must do what Your Highness commanded. " It was just a horrified whisper which left my whisper before I turned around and fell down on the ground, as some sharp object hit my shoulder at full speed.

I screamed out in pain, as it pierced my shoulder and got stuck in my upper arm.

" MY PRINCESS! " Lara, Lily, Mary and Madam Alina shouted in unison, as I reeled with the excruciating pain.

" An arrow has hit her. Oh Lord. " Lily screamed out in worry and grabbed the arrow from the center.
