CHAPTER 36

"Oh my God! Why do we need to run into each other when I'm alone?" I murmured.

Zion was wondering about my reaction.

"What happened to Rie? She looked like she had seen a ghost." Zion mumbled.

I was peeping outside to see if Zion was out of the male restroom. A few minutes later, Zion passed by. And I sighed and relieved, then went out of the restroom and returned to our table.

"Rie, what took you so long?" Dave asked.

"I'm sorry my stomach is upset." I answered.

"Wait here. I will ask the server if they have medicine for your stomach." Dave offered.

Mrs. Victoria suddenly stood up.

"Anyway, ladies and gentlemen. I am inviting you all to dinner to announce to you that Rie has signed a contract with my agency and she is now one of my babies. She will be making her debut soon and I want you all to support her." Mrs. Victoria announced it. My friends gave me applause. And Dave gave me a bouquet and medicine for my stomach. Everybody laughed because Dave gave me constipation medicine in the bouquet.

The dinner ended, and we went our separate ways after we bid our goodbyes.

"Cas, I will apply for a leave at school tomorrow for next week."

"Don't tell me you're going on vacation with your boyfriend? Hehehe!"

"No! If I go on vacation, you need to come with me. Hahaha!"

"Third wheel friend?"

"No! Of course, with everyone. Anyway, back to the topic. Your aunt will send me to the plastic surgeon next week to treat my scar."

"That's great, friend. I'm so happy for you. You can save money by working with her and your scars will be treated."

"Despite what happened to me in the past, there are still kind people around me, my friends, and your aunt. Thank you, friend, for not leaving my side."

"Geez, friend. I'm driving. Don't make me cry. But I love you, friend. No matter what happens, I'm always by your side."

"OH MY GOD, friend. I love you more. Hahaha!" Cassy and I were laughing because of our dramas.

I received a message from Zion, "Arien, I am on my way home. Call you later when I get home. I love you!" I smiled after I read his message.

When we got home, I went to my room right away and thought about what Zion said at dinner. I giggled and blushed when I remembered him saying he loved me so much. I was rolling around on my bed, kicking my feet because of happiness.

My phone rang, and it was Zion who called. He was just informing me that he had got home. And I told him to rest because we still have class tomorrow.

Early in the morning, I was at a loss because I woke up late. I can't miss my class today. I told Cassy that I would go first.

When I arrived at university, all the students were busy murmuring.

"What are their rumors again?" I mumbled.

(Students murmur)

"She's like an angel. I want to meet her personally."

"Let's go later to see if she's really this beautiful."

"LA Empire students like to gossip. Tsk!" I whispered.

Nicole grabbed me when I arrived at our class.

"Arien, look at this. Are you aware of this?" Nicole asked, and she showed me Mrs. Victoria's post on social media.

"Yes, Mrs. Victoria posted it last night before we went to the restaurant." I answered.

"Arien, I mean the comments section and the likes. Auntie is the best. You have never shown up yet, but you have got a lot of fans already. You will become a big star soon, Arien.""

Nicole, I'm worried about the rumors about Mrs. Victoria's post. Jessica might say that I overshadowed her. You know, Jessica's personality is that she doesn't want to lose in all aspects."

"Just be on guard from time to time, Arien. And let's inform our friends about this so they can help you, too." Nicole started informing the others.

Until lunchtime, the rumors about me continued to spread. We told our boy friends to eat separately today because we would have girl talk. And the boys agreed with us.

Cassy and Nicole interrogated me about how Zion and I became a couple. And I told them about what happened yesterday.

"Then, friend, how do you feel about it?"

"Mixed feelings. I can't explain the happiness I felt."

"I'm happy for you, Arien, and congratulations to you and to Zion, as well."

"Congratulations friend, we're happy for you!"

At the same time, the boys were asking Zion about his girlfriend.

"Bro, you were amazing last night. You are very passionate about your girlfriend. Can you tell us who she is?" Lawrence asked.

"Lawrence, you are very slow. Can't you tell who his girlfriend is? Anyway, congratulations Zion." Jake stated.

Dave remains silent.

"Just tell me, Zion, who she is. Everybody knows I'm slow, so just tell me, please." Lawrence insisted on knowing the answer. Dave suddenly stood up and left the table, because he didn't want to hear Zion's answer.

"Tsk! Lawrence is really slow. You made Dave leave the table." Jake said.

"Why is that my fault? I just wan... Oh, I see, I get it now. I'm sorry, just now I got the answer. Your girlfriend was Arien." Lawrence finally got the answer, but he received a hard smack on his head from Zion.

"Lower your voice, Lawrence. Jessica has a lot of eyes and ears everywhere. I don't know what she is going to do to Arien if she knows about us. I can't watch Arien's safety twenty-four seven." Zion stated.

"Zion was right, Lawrence. Don't worry bro, we can help you watch over Arien's safety. Since we were aware of her past, we can't let it happen again." Jake offered. And Lawrence agreed with it.

A few minutes later, Jessica appeared at Zion's table and sat beside Zion.

"I came here to ask some questions since you all know Rie." Jessica said.

"What do you want from her, Jessica?" Jake asked.

"I just want to know where she lives, her number, and what school she attended."

"We know nothing about her. And what's your purpose for asking this, Jessica?"

"You don't have to know that, Jake. Anyway, where's Dave? I'm sure he knows everything about Rie."

"He left us a while ago."

Jessica didn't get any information about Rie. Then she stood up, and dragged Zion out of the cafeteria.
