Helios was conversing with Lord Braeker when he sensed his queen was on the move. He smiled happy that his queen was finally exploring her new home. Without a second thought he continued with his work. Thirty minutes later he felt a stabbing pain in his heart as his head jerked up trying to locate his queen. He sensed his queen was moving at an incredible speed. She was falling at two hundred miles per hour heading toward the depths of Kosea. Helios stood up as he growled, "I have to go we will finish this later."
"But Sire we need to finish this now it's important," Lord Braeker chastised the High King.
"I said not now, my Queen is in danger!" The High King cursed as he flew out the doors after his queen.

I was in for the ride of my life as I continued to fall lower into the depths of Kosea. Numbers appeared in front of my face ticking down. If I wasn't so scared of falling I'd be asking myself what these numbers meant. 148, 147, 146....on and on as I plummeted. After a couple more minutes the numbers started getting closer to one and I began to panic. Is this the end? Am I going to die? Will I be flattened like a pancake when I hit the bottom?
I don't want to die I cried out. I'm still too young I have my whole life ahead of me. I scrambled trying to find a way out of the light. I reached out to the sides thinking I could grab it and hold on. But of course my hands grasped nothing but thin air. Closer and closer to the bottom I got 5,4,3 I tossed my hand out in front of me in a last ditch effort to save my skin when all of a sudden I was ejected out of the light and landed on my back on what I was assuming was floor number three as I skidded to a halt looking up into a pair of dark blue eyes similar to Helios.
I winced in pain, my back was all scraped and bruised from the harsh landing. I bolted up and smacked my forehead into the boy who was leaning over me bewildered. "Ow ow ow" I cried holding onto my forehead a massive headache coming on. The boy jumped back in surprise when he took a closer look at me and hollered to someone in the distance, "Lukux! Seiphe! Come quick you won't believe this! It's the queen! She's here on level three!!!" A minute later I heard feet running towards me.
When I looked back at the boy, he was no longer a boy but a gut wrenching ugly monster. It was similar to the day I saw Ihloi transform into a scary monster just as my eyes were closing when I was put into a hyper sleep. Ihloi morphed into a demon from hell just like this boy did. The next minute two more ugly monsters appeared running toward me with tentacles and big ugly fangs. I let out a blood curling scream as I ran away begging for Helios to come rescue me.
Her scream was like none he had ever heard. It was even more terrifying than when she woke up from her hyper sleep. This scream sounded like she was in mortal danger. All of a sudden he took a whiff of the air, "I smell blood, her blood," Helios growled. "Who dares to lay a hand on my queen, the High queen of Kosea? They will suffer for what they have done to her." In a fiery rage Helios flew at the speed of light as fast as he could toward his queen.
Seelaes and Seiphe's parents came running out of the house to see what the commotion was. They had heard a blood curling scream from outside and almost died of fright. As they came outside they caught a glimpse of the High Queen running away as the children ran after her. "Children stop! Your scaring her. Come back now!" But to no avail the children could not hear them. They were too excited to be able to finally meet the Queen. After all she came down to their level!!!
The monsters were surrounding me from all sides. I rounded the corner only to find myself facing a dead end. I turned around my back pressing against the wall as I slid down to try to hide. "She went this way," one of the monsters shouted. This was surely the end for me. I survived my planets destruction, came all the way to space, mated with a handsome angel sent by God, survived being flattened into a pancake, only to be eaten by monsters. Fate sure liked to mess with me. Cowering in fear, the monsters have arrived. I was done for.
"Shhh don't make any sudden moves," Seelaes whispered.
"Oh the poor thing, we've frightened her to death," Seiphe whispered back.
"Guys she's just kid. Look at how small she is. I'd say she's barely our age," Lukux peered up and down at the queen guessing her age.
Seelaes approached the queen crouching down to my level as he reached out his hand toward me and in the calmest voice he could muster he called out, "dont be frightened my queen. We are not going to hurt you. We just wanted to meet you. A Queen has never visited the lower levels of Kosea before. We were so excited that you came to visit us. We've been wanting to meet you for some time now, but for us lower ranks we are never allowed anywhere near the Queen. The three monsters summoned the last bit of magic they had and transformed back into their human forms.
I peered through my fingers as I looked up toward the monsters, out of breath I asked weakly, "does that mean your not going to eat me?"
Lukux the one standing in the middle laughed out loud, as he giggled, "we don't eat people, let alone the High Queen. If we even thought about eating you the High King would have vaporized us long before the thought even crossed our minds."
Seiphe piped up above the other two, "we want to be your friends. I don't have any female friends around my age. Your the youngest female we've had in over twenty eight million years. I'm dying for some girl time.
Friends? They wanted to be friends? No one has ever asked me to be their friend before. My heart palpitated at the thought of having my very first friends. But they frightened me. They looked like demons from hell when they were in their monster forms. Even Ihloi still frightens me. I shook my head, no I can't judge here. I am no longer back on Earth. I am a queen and I should start acting like one. These kids were citizens of Kosea and I am their Queen.
But before I could even respond to them a brilliant light was cast down on us as Helios descended from above, pure anger written on his face as he held up an eight foot rod that had three prongs sticking off the end of it toward the kids that were surrounding me as electric sparks surged from the end of the rod. Helios roared with fury, "I'm going to kill whoever spilled my Queens blood and frightened her so!!!" Without thinking about what I was doing, my body moved on its own accord. I jumped out in front of them spreading my arms out shielding them with my tiny little body, squeezing my eyes shut as I cried out, "stop don't hurt them!" waiting for Helios to collide with me.
I want revenge for my queen. Her pure and innocent blood was spilled. My Queen was absolutely terrified beyond this world. I felt her running for her life, her heart racing, trying to get away from those who were chasing her. Helios flew as fast as he could when he finally spotted the danger. There were three of them surrounding his queen. He took aim with the Rod of Lightning ready to vaporize the little heathens. Just as he was about to release judgment on them his Queen jumped out in front of them shielding them behind her shouting, "stop don't hurt them!"
Helios screeched to a halt slamming the rod into the wall to his right as a jolt of lightening ran through his body as he thought "better me than my Queen. I almost just vaporized her into a million pieces." Casting a spell of protection around himself he was able to stave off most of the shock. He stared at his queen puzzled as to why she was protecting the ones who hurt her.
Everyone in the vicinity gasped as they witnessed the Queens bravery and selfless act in protecting the children of Kosea. Did she not know that she was mere inches from death? She almost got vaporized protecting those kids.
I waited for the impact that never came. I opened my eyes to see Helios tossing the weapon at the wall as it smashed into a million pieces. I trembled where I stood afraid of the look on Helios's face. I'm sure he was angry at me. But I didn't care, I stood my ground as I stuttered, "don't come any closer, they are my friends. They only frightened me. I thought they were monsters who were going to eat me. But instead all they wanted to do was meet their Queen."
"But what about your back? All those cuts and bruises. And your forehead? You've got a bruise on your beautiful face, Helios shouted at me. He was definitely angry with me. I could tell.
They didn't do this. I snuck out of the castle to go back to the festival. I got lost taking a wrong turn and I saw a light. I followed it to a random column of light. I was curious so I reached out to touch the light and it dragged me inside. Next thing I knew I was falling forever. I thought I was going to get squished into a pancake if I hit the bottom so I tossed out my hand and somehow I was flung from the light and I landed on my back sliding across the ground. My back was hurt when I was flung out of the column of light not by my friends. As for the bruise on my forehead I got it when I stood up too quickly and accidentally knocked my head into the boy there I said," pointing to Seelaes next to me.
Helios was stunned into silence before he grabbed ahold of his stomach shaking as he belted out his laughter. "My queen has an adventurous side to her. I'm going to have to keep a closer eye on her. She will get herself into all sorts of trouble without him. Ihloi was right my Queen was going to be a handful.
Seelaes and the others were mortified. They couldn't believe the queen hadn't ratted on them for chasing her. She protected them with her life and even called them friends!!! She was a Queen sent from the heavens. If it was any other Queen they would have been dead by now blamed for their atrocities. But the Queen standing in front of them her arms still spread out protecting them had the most pure of heart they have ever seen. They now owed her their life for protecting them.
All of a sudden lights flashed as the children's bodies began to glow. Their skin tingled just above their collarbones. They pulled down their tunics to reveal the silver mark of a silver crescent moon engraved on their left shoulder just to the side of their collar bone. This was the first rank to a position in the queens court. All three of them had just earned a new title, Friend of the Queen. They can not be harmed. They now have the Queen's protection marked on their bodies.
Seelaes and Seiphe's parents cheered as their children had just been promoted to one of the top three ranks in Kosea. The villagers nearby praised them clapping them on the back. Lukux who didn't have any family was cheered on my his fiends parents who took him in under their wing. The three friends gazed at each other before they ran up to give the queen a hug. But before they got there their Queen had collapsed.
As I watched my new friends receive the mark of the Queens protection I cheered silently in my heart. I was still scared of them and it would take me sometime to get used to having monsters for friends. But I didn't care I finally had some friends to call my own. As the towns people celebrated, As the danger had passed and no one was going to be killed I instantly felt faint. I was losing energy fast. I hadn't eaten in almost three days now. I turned toward Helios reaching my hand out to him as I collapsed unconscious on the ground.
