Chapter 35 I’m Pregnant!!!

His Queen was sleeping soundly through the night, Helios couldn't help leaning down to listen to the tiny heart beat fluttering within her womb from time to time. He kept placing his ear on her stomach that was slowly rising and falling with each breath she drew. He got so excited that a couple of times he thought he almost woke her up as she mumbled, turning in her sleep. He found more pillows and fluffed them up carefully placing them around and under his Queen to try to make the bed a little more comfortable for her.

He quickly sent a note to Asa letting him know the news so that he could begin preparations for the extraction soon. It was going to take time to make sure everything went smoothly for her. He had heard stories that females were always scared of the operation that was performed so he didn't want her to feel uncomfortable in any way. A moment later Asa had sent a note back to him. Helios opened it and read, "In about a week's time I am going to need a vial of your seed for the extraction process. I will also need your measurements... He could almost here the malice dripping in his note as he left what was understood not said.

He was about ready to lay down with his mate when he received another note this time from Ihloi, you are needed at the battlefield, contestants have begun to arrive early for the Star Nebula Games. They expect a welcome from their King. He crumbled the note in his hand. He had almost completely forgotten the tournament will be taking place in three days. He was lost in the heat of the moment when his mate had conceived. Contestants would be arriving from many galaxies to participate. He bit his lip contemplating on holding off until in the morning to greet them, but then he remembered how rowdy things could get so he quickly wrote up a set of rules to give to the participants.

He then summoned Asa to his chambers. Knock knock knock, there was a gentle tap on the door. Helios opened the door letting him in. He ushered him in holding a finger to his lips pointing at the Queen still sleeping. "I need you to watch over her for me while I go and greet the participants who have arrived for the Star Nebula tournament. I was going to wait until she was awake but I need to lay down some ground rules before I take her over there. You and I are the only ones who know that she has conceived so you are the only one I can depend on to look after her while I'm gone," the King whispered.

Asa nodded his head in understanding. He had almost forgotten about the tournament as well with the surprise note he had received from the King about his Queen conceiving an heir in the middle of the night. As the top medical examiner he not only gets to tend to the High Queen but he will also be the medical examiner for the males who are injured during the tournament as well. Things were going to get pretty busy around here looking after the Queen and all the males in the galaxy. Asa pulled up a chair and sat down beside the Queen. Helios assessed to make sure all was well before turning and leaving the two to go tend to the contestants.

After the King was gone he relaxed a little. Leaning over the Queen's body he placed his ear on her abdomen. Sure enough he could hear a faint heartbeat inside her. The star that was lit up on her forehead cast a soft glow on her face making her look like an angel sleeping in a sea of clouds. There was nothing finer than the glow of a female who has conceived. He thought females somehow looked more beautiful when they were with child. There was something about their aura that made a males senses go mad with lust. He gently reached out and caressed her belly. It was so soft and tender under his hand.

Not wanting to bother her further he pulled the blanket over her so she wouldn't catch a cold. The last thing they needed was for her to come down sick before the extraction. He had a lot to do before the big day. The King was counting on him to not mess it up. He has done many extractions on the females in Kosea. But never has he done an extraction on a human female. He was afraid that he would hurt her or worse her child. They still didn't know if the child will be more like her or more in lines with the King genes. So he has to take extra precaution just incase the fetus ends up to be a human just like their Queen.

The High King rushed off toward the battle grounds. He was in a hurry to greet them quickly so that he could return to his Queen's side before she awakens. He wanted to be there with her before she realizes she has conceived. She would probably get scared if she saw that he wasn't there with her when she wakes up. As he drew nearer to the battle grounds he could just make out the outlines of little white tents being set up everywhere. Smoke filled the air that was coming from the chimneys. It looked like at least eighty-five percent of the contestants have already arrived. The rest would be here by tomorrow morning not wanting to miss the introduction of his Queen.

He stepped up to the Podium that was placed on a stage for him. Tapping the mic he shouted, "everyone gather around. I have an important announcement to make." All the males stopped putting up their tents and gathered around the stage. "Welcome to the Star Nebula Tournament. As you all may know by now this tournament in not like tournaments in the past. This years tournament you all will be competing for the top five spots as my Queen's private guard. As you have all heard by now my Queen is human, so she will need some extensive looking after. She is extremely delicate. She is not as strong as normal females here in Kosea. One slip and you could easily crush her."

"Now with all this in mind we have a few last minute rules that I need to announce before the tournament begins. Rule number one, everyone is to remain in human form at all times in the presence of the Queen, unless you are inside your tent. She scares really easily. Rule number two, there will be no combat training after ten pm on level one. Unlike us my Queen sleeps through the night so we have moved all combat training down on level two for after ten pm. And rule number three, there will be no rough housing anywhere near the Queen. She is already so delicate but there were some unforeseen circumstances that make her even more fragile than before." He left out the part where she has conceived until the morning.

"With these rules in mind, I look forward to introducing to you, your new Queen, Chelsey, first thing in the morning when she awakens. Let the Tournament begin!" All the males clapped and cheer as the High King walked off the staged. Murmurs spread through the crowd about their new Queen, was she sick? Is that why she's so fragile? She's a human? I hope we don't scare her. It would be a shame if she was afraid of us. We wonder what she will look like? We hope she is beautiful. Will she have a docile personality or will she be like all females in every galaxy? Rumors were flying through the crowd that she must be different if the High King had chose her, after all he turned down every female in every galaxy.

Helios rushed back to the castle as fast as he could, it was almost time for his Queen to awaken. He didn't want to miss this for the world. He flew through the doors of the castle flying up the grand staircase to his chambers. Upon entering he saw Asa sitting there working on his notes occasionally glancing at the Queen to make sure she was ok. "I can take it from here, you are free to go." Asa nodded gathering up his belongings. A few minutes later he left closing the door quietly behind him. Not long after she began to stir, her stomach grumbling already for breakfast. He came over and sat down beside her stroking her abdomen while he waited impatiently for her to awaken.

I woke up feeling a little better than I have been as of late. It's been over a month and I have been constantly getting sick or eating way too much. I rubbed my forehead feeling a dull ache, at least I wasn't feeling nauseous today I thought. I felt a weight on my tummy, opening my eyes I saw Helios resting his ear on my stomach with the most goofiest grin I have ever seen on his face. I tried to sit up but he was having none of it. "Umm good morning," I said a little confused at Helios's current behavior. He just smiled all the more kissing and massaging my stomach with adoration in his eyes.

"How are you feeling my Queen?" Helios whispered. "I'm feeling a lot better today. My head aches a little bit," I said massaging my forehead again. Helios helped me sit up, that's when I realized I had been sitting in a sea of pillows. I looked at Helios baffled as to what was going on. He carefully pulled me onto his lap taking his time like he was trying to be extra careful about something. I leaned back against him still feeling a little tired. Helios tossed my hair over my shoulder, he leaned down, I felt his lips on the back of my neck slowly kissing every square inch.

He wrapped his arms around me and continued to massage my stomach. After a couple minutes of kissing her, he couldn't hold back any longer he stood up holding her in his arms, he leaned down and whispered in her ear,

I gave you life, you gave me eternity

I gave you the world, you gave me the universe

I gave you the moon, you gave me the sun

I gave you the galaxy, you gave me the stars

I gave you a spark, you gave me a flame

I gave you a castle, you gave me a home

I gave you protection, you gave me strength

I gave you love, you gave me your heart

I gave you my seed, and you gave me an heir

Last night you bore an heir which thou shall name

Pick a name that will suite him well

I stared up at Helios not quite comprehending what he meant. It took me a minute to wrap the words around my mind. When it finally dawned on me, my jaw dropped. Wait what?! I was pregnant!!! Helios carried me over to the floor length mirror in the corner of the room, when I saw my reflection, I noticed the star on my forehead was glowing. I had almost forgotten that I had marks on my forehead. I don't really look at myself in the mirror very often. I reached out my hand touching the mirror. I saw that my tummy was bulging a little bit. I thought that it was just from me eating so much.

Looking back at Helios I asked curiously, "why is my forehead glowing?" I touched the star on my forehead covering it up. Helios took my hand off the star kissing my hand, "here in Kosea when a female's mate marks glow it lets males know that you are with child and have conceived. A little after I brought you upstairs your mark began to glow. I have been waiting all night to tell you," he said with giddiness in his voice. I frowned looking back in the mirror. I was pregnant, I thought again. A million questions ran through my mind. I was feeling so nervous. I didn't know what was going to happen to me.

"I've already alerted Asa last night. He will be getting the operating room ready for you. I want you to feel as comfortable as possible... I interrupted Helios's sentence grabbing onto his robes. "I'm scared," my hands were trembling my heart beating a million miles per minute. Helios's face filled with concern he leaned down placing his forehead against mine, "I will be with you every step of the way. You will not have to do this alone." He wrapped his arm around me enveloping me in his embrace. He nuzzled his head against mine trying to comfort me. "It won't hurt will it? Giving birth? Will Asa cut me open?" I asked nervously remembering how my aunt talked about having a C-section with my cousin and how they had to cut her open.

"You will not be giving birth like you would on Earth, and Asa will not be allowed to cut you open either. He will go in and extract the baby the natural way before it becomes too big. We seal them in tiny vials for when the next heir is ready to take the throne, but I don't want to lie to you, the extraction process depends on the female, some say it hurts and others say it only felt a little uncomfortable. Asa will do everything he can to make sure that everything runs smoothly, he has been training for millions of years for this day. All you would have to do is lay there comfortably. I'll be there right next to you the whole time."

Even though he reassured me, I still wasn't fully one hundred percent convinced, but I nodded to show Helios that it was ok to go ahead with the preparations. "When wil... will the operation be," I stuttered. "Asa said it will be a couple weeks before it will take place, there are still a few things that need to be done first. He left out the part where Asa would need his measurements so he can design the tools needed to fit inside of her comfortably without hurting her. Every time they mated he would secretly measure the depth inside of her just for this very purpose. He would enlarge his members inside of her just to see how far he was able to expand before she would moan letting him know that, that was all she could handle.

I glanced at myself in the mirror, placing my hand on my tummy. I was scared. I was scared of the unknown. I was scared because I didn't know what was going to happen. With fear written all over my face I looked up at Helios, "I'm scared I said again." Helios's eyes softened, "It's ok to be afraid. This is your first time conceiving," Helios whispered tucking my hair behind my ear. "I promise I will not leave your side," he leaned down and kissed the glowing star on my forehead. "I want you to pick the name for the little one. You always come up with names that suit the individual. If it's a male pick a strong name fit for a King. If it's a female I want her name to be just as beautiful as yours."

"I already have the names picked out," I murmured plucking at his robes nervously. "Do you want to hear them?" Helios raised his eyebrows in shock! He quickly put his finger to my lips, "don't tell me just yet, keep it a surprise until after the extraction. We will announce the name to everyone else once you are feeling better. It's bad luck to announce the name before it's born. We don't want anything to happen to the little one," Helios chuckled lifting me up and blowing on my stomach. I giggled trying to push his head away. "There's that smile I've been waiting for," Helios brought my face close to his. I smiled sheepishly before I leaned in and laid my lips on his.

I wrapped my arms around his neck and entangled my fingers in his hair. I decided I was going to put my trust in him. He was my mate, the love of my life, and we had a little one on the way. Helios reciprocated my kiss feverishly, he caressed my tummy lovingly, doting on the little one within me. "You are so beautiful when you are with child. Your face glows much brighter and your scent carries a potent pheromone that will drive any male mad with lust. I'm going to have to fend off all of the males until the extraction takes place," he whispered against my lips. Did my scent really change when I conceived? I pulled away from him and sniffed my arm. "I can't tell the difference, I still smell the same to me," I said pouting.

"Humans don't have the capability to smell changes in pheromones like we do. I wouldn't be surprised if the guards down the hall can sense a change in your scent yet." My face turned bright red hearing this. If they can smell a change in my scent from conceiving can they also tell when we were mating? Oh God that is so embarrassing I thought. The next instant my tummy growled causing my face to turn even more red. "I guess the little one is hungry again," I murmured. Helios let out a guttural laugh teasing my hair. "What would you and the little one lime to eat today," he asked pinching my nose.

I swatted his hand away playfully, "we want stuffed omelettes," I giggled kissing Helios's cheek. "Two stuffed omelettes coming right up." With a wave of his hand he sent my order down to Eleanor. While I was waiting for Eleanor, Helios sat me down so I could look at myself in the mirror some more. I turned to the side and saw that my tummy had a slight bulge were I assumed was the baby. Helios was right I looked so much different now I almost don't recognize myself anymore from the scared little starving girl from Earth. My frame had filled out, as well as my breasts. My hair grew in thicker and is a lot more shiny, my eyes were filled with joy and laughter, they almost looked like they were on fire. If the kids from my school could see me now they wouldn't think I was ugly anymore.

Not long after I heard Eleanor knocking. I looked up drool dripping from my chin. Me and the little one were absolutely ravenous with hunger. Helios chuckled seeing my expression as he opened the door to our chambers. Eleanor stepped inside carrying the tray with two huge stuffed omelettes and a giant glass of orange juice, when she looked up she almost dropped the tray of food in surprise. The Queen's mate marks were glowing! "My Queen congratulations!" she got down on one knee still holding the tray and bowed with a huge all knowing smile on her face. She knew this was coming. A female's appetite doesn't increase without a reason. It was only a matter of time before her Queen would conceive an heir!

Eleanor sat the tray on the bedside table and came over to me. She wrapped her arms around me and gave me a gentle hug. She then pulled away and tapped me on the nose, "look at you all grown up. The others are going to be shocked when they find out." A tear fell down her cheek, she puffed her bosom out with pride. Go on eat your breakfast before you make me cry," she chastised smiling. "You and the little one must be famished, your going to need your strength for the extraction so eat up. I'll make sure to bring you extra helpings and snacks to eat throughout the day. Whenever you feel an inkling of hunger let me know straight away. I'll make whatever you need."

I thanked her and sat down on the bed pulling the bedside table to me and began to wolf down my food. I didn't care if they laughed at me, I was so hungry. Eleanor turned to leave but Helios stopped her putting his finger to his lip and with a wink indicating that she shouldn't say anything to anyone just yet. He was keeping a secret for when his Queen was done. She nodded, "I'll draw up bath in here so she can get ready without anyone seeing her," with that she turned and left all giddy with a pip in her step whistling as she went to go fetch some water for the Queen's bath. She was going to have a hard time trying to keep a poker face around the others.

I quickly finished and Eleanor was back in a jiffy with a bucket of water. She helped me rinse off and then she had me sit in the chair and had me put my head back as she dumped water on my hair and rubbed soap through my curls. She rinsed the soap out and rung my hair out. Grabbing a towel she patted me dry and helped me braid my hair in the same hair style that Silas had done a side braid that framed my face. She tied it off with a moon and star printed ribbon. Doing a once over she was satisfied with her handy work, the Queen was ready for the day. She gathered up the towels and water and left.

Helios came over and picked me up into his arms. He admired my body where the mate marks had disappeared when I got wet. My body glowed pink from my nakedness. "You look so beautiful with or without your mate marks," he said kissing me all over. I giggled embarrassed to be seen naked. "What are we doing today," I asked curiously. "We are going to greet the participants of the Star Nebula tournament, most of them had arrived last night. The rest will be here shortly. They won't want to miss getting to meet you," he growled playfully. I had almost forgotten that was today. Ihloi and Helios have been preparing for this for the last month.

My nerves started creeping back in, "please protect me! Don't let them go mad with lust," I said wrapping my arms around Helios. "I will never let that happen," Helios growled his fangs extending to show he was serious. This was the first time I saw his fangs. I shivered in his arms. His fangs quickly retracted completely disappearing, "I'm sorry if I frightened you my love. You have no idea how much my fighting instincts are on overdrive right now, now that you are with child. I will protect you and our heir with my life," he tightened his arms around me holding me close. My mate marks suddenly reappeared. Helios smiled, "well are you ready to meet everyone?" I nodded nervous about who I was going to meet.
