For this scene I have taken a song and made it my own. I created a parody of this song in order to write my story. If you listen to this song on YouTube and sing along with the words I have written you will get a general sense of what the song I wrote would sound like if I had music to it.

My eyes flew open too excited to stay asleep. Today was the Star Nebula Tournament. It almost felt like the fair had come to town and we were going to have a blast. My stomach growled feeling extremely famished. I realized I had completely forgotten to eat dinner last night. I was so tired I wasn't able to stay awake. Helios must have brought me back to the castle last night because I was back in his bed. "Good morning my love, you must have slept well," he said handing me a hand mirror, with a smirk on his face. I glanced into the mirror and groaned. My hair was a complete mess. I had awful bed head this morning. I combed my fingers through it trying to tame my hair. I felt like I was going to go crazy if I didn't get a real bath soon.
"I need a real bath my hair is out of control," I whined handing the mirror back to Helios. He sat down behind me pulling me into his arms, "you look brand matter how messy your hair is. I promise when all of this is over you can take a bath at the bath house. "Ok," I said turning around and giving Helios a kiss. Eleanor came in with my breakfast and sat it down in front of me. She took one look at my hair and giggled, "oh not you too," I cried trying to hide my hair. "Don't you worry dear, I have something that will be able to fix your beautiful curls. Finish your breakfast and I'll be right back." She scurried out on a hunt for things for my bath. I quickly ate my stuffed omelette before she came back.
Holding up a clear bottle she explained, "this is something we created using water from the Milky Way. It will give your curls more volume and make them shine like the stars in the night sky. I also got a little surprise as well for after your bath. My eyes lit up, I was excited. I jumped out of bed and sat down in the chair by the bed. Eleanor got to work helping me wash my back and dousing my hair, she grabbed the clear bottle and poured some of the contents straight on my hair, then she gently massaged it into my scalp. I purred under her fingers enjoying the tingling sensation of the concoction she was using. It had a scent of winter and berries mixed together. It smelled amazing.
She finished rinsing my hair and pinned up my curls to dry. She grabbed a towel off Helios's desk and used it to pat me dry, all the while Helios beamed at me from the bed. He was enjoying himself a little too much over there watching me take my bath. I stuck my tongue out at him as he howled with laughter. Eleanor used a spell that dried my hair instantly, my mate marks returned and I took my wet towel and tossed it at a Helios. It fell a couple feet short on the floor. "Stop teasing her your going to mess up my work over here," she said smiling her eyes filled with laughter at how cute the two of us were together. She took the pins out of my hair and let my curls fall down my back.
Then she took out a tiny vial from her bag and held it up, this is stardust that we collect after we have separated certain properties and we are left with this. Females absolutely love this stuff. But this is not the ordinary stuff, this stardust was collected from a Blue Supergiant Star during the Winter Solstice. It's really rare. She came up to me and held the vial over my head, "spin around as I pour she, commanded. I spun around feeling the icy stardust rest upon my skin. Helios perked up when he saw me. His Queen was absolutely stunning. He couldn't take his eyes off her. Eleanor led me to the mirror in the room, when I looked at my reflection I was absolutely shocked.
My hair was absolutely beautiful, it was so shiny and soft. My curls bounced when I turned my head. The stardust on my skin highlighted my mate marks in a soft bluish silver glow. When I turned the light would bounce off the stardust sending little shimmering lights off my body. It reminded me of body glitter lime we had on earth but a million times more beautiful. I twirled in front of the mirror taking in how beautiful I looked. Never in a million years did I ever think I would look like a moon goddess from the stars. I turned around a gave Eleanor a hug. "Thank you I love it. It's absolutely beautiful. Helios came over and got down on one knee in front of me, taking my hand in his he kissed it softly,
"my love you look amazing, every eye will be on you today, and your scent will drive every male max with lust. I'm going to have to defend you with my life today." I blushed at his words. He took a hold of my chin and brushed his thumb across my lips before kissing me. Eleanor looked away a huge smile on her face. She just couldn't get enough of their love. The King used to be cold hearted, impatient and unkind with everyone. But now with his soulmate by his side he melted like putty every time he saw her. He was gentle, and very protective of her, he somehow gained the patience of a grandfather holding a newborn for the first time when it came to his Queen. His sense of humor also came out because of her. She was absolutely perfect for him.
"Are you ready for the tournament to begin,"Helios asked picking me up in his arms. I nodded leaning against his chest. He carried me out of the room and outside of the castle. As far as the eye could see males from all directions were heading in the direction of the stadium that was just finished being built for this massive crowd. If I looked closer I could see females being carried by their mates toward the stadium as well. The closer we got the louder the noise became. When we arrived at the stadium, the crowd went one way while we went another. Helios carried me to the familiar beam of light and up the free falling elevator. Once at the top I saw that we were in a giant alcove with many seats overlooking a giant stadium. It kind of looked like the Super Bowl stadium but on steroids.
Instead of the rows gradually inclining they were stacked on top of each other and went up like skyscrapers, there were rows upon rows of seats. I didn't know what the population size of Kosea was but it looked like there was enough seats to fill the entire galaxy with. Helios set me down and I ran over to the railing, wanting to take in the scene around me. As the males filed in they began to point up at me shouting, look there's the Queen, she really has conceived. She's was beautiful before but for some reason she seems more radiant today. It has to be because she conceived. I blushed at their comments and came back to stand next to Helios. We were soon joined by the Kings of the other Tribes and Ihloi.
I ran over to Be'ron excited about all the commotion. The atmosphere of the stadium could almost be described as electrifying. It made my body tingle from all the excitement. "Well don't you look beautiful this morning, Be'ron bellowed over the noise of the crowd. I spun around so I could show them Eleanor's handiwork. "Eleanor helped me this morning. She gave me a bath and used a couple items for my hair and a rare stardust for the glimmer. All the Kings chuckled picturing the Queen taking a bath. They were so jealous of Helios. A moment later I saw a huge group of females arrive. They all went to sit in one section together away from the males. It was in that moment my eyes connected with Astrid's.
I felt her eyes burn into my soul as she glared at me from across the stadium. It almost felt like she had a killing intent about her. I shivered hiding behind Helios. "Is everything ok my love," Helios bent down so that I could hear him. "I pointed over my shoulder toward Astrid, "I don't think she likes me very much. I can feel her eyes burning into my back." Helios looked over my shoulder inconspicuously, he saw Astrid glaring at his Queen. "Don't worry about her. She's probably just jealous of your beauty. I wouldn't worry yourself about her." I nodded breathing a sigh of relief. A moment later Sophie and Eleanor joined us in what I was assuming was the Royals box seating area for Kings and Queens and Kings of visiting tribes only.
"You made it," I said running up to Sophie. She caught me just before I tripped spinning me in her arms. "Same old klutz as usual," she giggled setting me back down. "The King invited us to sit with you in the Royals Box knowing you would want us to be with you. Man is Astrid going to be so jealous." She grabbed my hand and pulled us to the railing. Searching the crowd she spotted Astrid and waved to her. Turning I saw Astrid had a look of surprise that quickly turned to pure anger and rage on her face. "Yep she's definitely jealous," Sophie said as we laughed and ran in and out of the Royals taking in the scene of the stadium. We were sitting at the highest level above everyone else. I felt a little dizzy being up this high.
Helios was watching his Queen run around the alcove playing and enjoying herself to the fullest in all the excitement of the the day. He was about to go get her when a note suddenly appeared in front of him. He took a hold of it and read it, shock appeared in his eyes, he gave the note to Ihloi who read it quickly. His face paled after he finished reading it. "I'm on it, Sire," he said before scurrying off to alert the guards who were guarding the entrance to the elevator. Once Ihloi was off he quickly scribbled a reply before sending the note back to Lord Braeker. He sent the note as fast as he could hoping his Queen wouldn't catch him. He didn't want to worry her when she looked so happy and excited.
There were torches set a flame all around the stadium towering over the crowd. I could see the contestants marching into the stadium one by one in a single file line. They looked like tiny ants from way up here. About thirty minutes later Helios came and found me. He scooped me up into his arms and carried me to the railing. The lights in the outdoor stadium and the flames on the torches dimmed as a tiny little man stepped up to a podium that had been placed at the center of the males gathered on the field. He tapped on the microphone and the noise of the crowd died down to a quiet humming.
"Citizens of Kosea and our brethren from the neighboring tribes of Astranova, Ruria, and Uelara, are gathered here tonight to fight for the right to protect the High King's female. We stand united in our efforts to single out those best suited to stand by her royal highness's side.
We only want the strongest, fastest, and bravest who will be able to defend and protect her with their life. Those of you who can withstand the might of many warriors in the fight to the death tonight at the Star Nebula Tournament will earn the honor and title to be able to stand by her side and watch over her.
Will you be the chosen one tonight or will you be sent home in defeat? Only tonight will tell. Stand tall, stand strong, and stand united to protect the most beautiful female in all the land for tonight we witness she is with child and needs your strength in protecting the new heir of Kosea. Long live the heir of Kosea Hoo Rah!"
Every voice in the stadium echoed back "Hoo Rah" as the males beat their chests echoing their battle cry throughout the stadium. I listened with complete rapture bewitched by the speech. Every eye was on me when the man mentioned I was with child. I blushed knowing everyone was staring at the glowing star on my forehead. I tried my best to not look away from embarrassment. "And now let the Star Nebula tournament begin," the man stepped down from the podium carrying it off the field with him. A moment later a male stepped out of line and approached the Royals Box. In a booming voice he shouted,
"Your highness before we begin we would like to perform a chant for the Queen. We have heard of her legendary beauty and her pure heart so we want to dedicate this song in her tribute." Helios raised an eyebrow curiously. This is the first time in the history of the Star Nebula Tournament that males have written a song for a female. He nodded his head to letting the male know that he could proceed. I was curious too. When did they have time to write a song? They have been training ever since they have arrived.
The male stepped back in line as the lights in the stadium dimmed around me almost fading to black. Not knowing what was going to happen I looked around trying to adjust my eyes to the darkness, that's when I heard a bull horn blaring behind me making me jump. Fires all around on torches lit one by one around me and the males on the field. They began to beat their lighting rods on the ground causing the floor to vibrate beneath my feet. They beat their chests as they began to chant their voices ringing forth ominously.
The sound of our brethren comes a calling
Stars and comets will reign in full
Snow in the ice cold frigid currents
Fight to death
She's a beauty oh forever young
Gazing at the moon tonight
Her fair hair is a golden glitter
Our chosen one
The Queen's a calling it's mating time
Her womb be fruitful and multiply
A child stirs within her an heir will rise
Raise her kin
Oh oh ohoo oh
The echos of her eternity
Oh oh ohoo oh
Her love will set us free
Oh oh ohoo oh
The echos of her destiny
Oh oh ohoo oh
Her light shines down on me
Her light shines down on me
She casts a spell upon us all
You've made a way into our weak hearts
Casting a spell of eternal infinity
Guard her well
We are Star Struck watch her singing
Watching the galaxy fill her eyes
Star light shinning bright in the night
Her wish comes true
Oh oh ohoo oh
The echos of her eternity
Oh oh ohoo oh
Her love will set us free
Oh oh ohoo oh
The echos of her destiny
Oh oh ohoo oh
Her light shines down on me
Her light shines down on me
Cast our Spells protect her now
Cast our Spells enchant her now
Cast our Spells protect her now
Cast our Spells enchant her now
Oh oh ohoo oh
The echos of her eternity
Oh oh ohoo oh
Her love will set us free
Oh oh ohoo oh
The echos of her destiny
Oh oh ohoo oh
Her light shines down on me
Her light shines down on me
As they finished their chant, they pointed their light I g rods toward the sky and cast the lighting within. The lightning lit up the stadium sending an electric current all around me. A moment later a shower of stars began to rain down on us fro above. I stared in amazement reaching out to touch the stars basking in their beauty. I remained speechless. My jaw dropped shocked that they had written this and in such a short amount of time. How did they even have time to practice this? They all marched to the beat in perfect uniform bearing their chests. The whole stadium vibrated from their chant. The males down below remained silent waiting for my reaction.
The stars continued to rain down from above, not sure what I was supposed to do I clapped my hands showing them that I loved the chant. The stadium erupted in cheers as the males beat their rods and stomped on the ground. "She loves it she really loves it, I could hear them shouting. I smiled and waved to the contestants down below. Helios placed his lips to my ear, "it looks like you have become a legend around here. Never in the history of our world have the males ever performed a song that was written in three days time for any female except you. It looks like you have stolen the heart of almost every single male in the galaxy minus the ones who already have mates."
My jaw dropped yet again. Was this really true? Did they really like me that much? I didn't think I was anyone special. I was just an ordinary human girl. How is it possible to have every male here tonight in love with me? I shook my head unable to comprehend the magnitude of what Helios had mentioned. After their chant, it kind of felt like I was in a live reenactment of the movie Troy. I was the princess and all the males were here to fight to the death for my love. I smiled as I connected the two together. There was no way this could be happening to me. Never in my wildest dreams would I ever have thought that I would one day become the Queen of an alien race and have millions of males fighting for my heart.
I shuddered at the thought. There was no way I was going to have more than one mate. I only wanted Helios. I wrapped my arms around his neck and buried my face in his chest. Helios patted my back, comforting me as a chair was pulled up for us and he sat down in the worlds most comfortable armchair pulling me on his lap. The males on the field filed off, I'm assuming to get changed and ready for the tournament. Scanning the crowd I felt a burning pair of eyes on me again, looking over I could see Astrid seething with rage. If Helios was telling the truth and that no male has ever performed a song for a female before then that would mean Astrid never had males write a song in her honor. I smiled and waved at Astrid feeling a little more sorry for her.
