Chapter 46 Giving Birth

It was early morning, Helios had massaged his mates tummy all night long, just as Asa had instructed him to do. It was a difficult task at first because his mate always slept on her side, so every hour or so she would moan, and turn to sleep on her side. Helios would wait a few minutes for her to settle then gently rolled her back over so he could continue massaging her tummy. By doing this, it insured that her stomach muscles wouldn't be so tense during the extraction process. Asa wanted her stomach muscles to be as relaxed as possible. While he massaged her tummy he waited patiently for his mate to wake up.

He didn't want to rush her because she will be stressed as it is, so even if he was impatient he couldn't show it on his face when she woke up. He also hadn't told her when the exact date was for the extraction either because it would only add to her stress if she was anticipating the date and time. So he left the date in the air at roughly two weeks from the start of the tournament. When she wakes up he will bring her straight to Asa without mentioning the extraction, that way she didn't have time to panic or have second thoughts. He had also ordered the guards to be stationed and in position whenever his Queen awoke. The last thing he needed was an enemy attack while Asa was extracting the baby.

Rogue males who were abandoned by their mates, will attack, killing the offspring, and kidnap the female, to enact their revenge on being betrayed. So any female who is about to give birth must be protected at all costs. He spared no expense in having every able body male on duty standing watch when it was time. Interrupting his reverie, his Queen rolled into his arms and mumbled, "good morning," still half asleep with her eyes closed. He bent down and kissed her forehead good morning. He wrapped his arms around her and pulled her onto his chest. He kissed down her face and to her neck leaving a trail of kisses on her warm skin.

"That tickles," I giggled peeking up at him through my eyelashes. I stretched and yawned, last night was the best sleep I ever had, I felt relaxed, my body was feeling great this morning. Usually I would wake up feeling a little achy from sleeping in a funny position but today my muscles didn't ache one bit. I leaned in kissing Helios on his lips, he returned my kiss as we locked our lips feverishly. He was the first to pull away, standing up with me in his arms, I gave him my pouty face, "I want you to come with me, we are taking a little trip," he whispered softly. Ooo a trip I liked the sound of that. "Ok I'll come with you." Helios nodded as he carried me out of chambers and outside the castle.

The cool crisp air stung my face fully waking me up now. I shivered pulling Helios's robes around me. The air felt like it had gotten a little cooler since I've been here. It wasn't as warm as before. Helios continued walking carrying me in his arms down the large hill in front of the castle. "Where are we going," I asked curiously. Helios only responded with a kiss to my forehead. Looking around I noticed males everywhere. It was strange because they were standing in one spot not moving. It felt unnatural looking at so many males standing all around us as we descended the hill. "Why are there so many guards today I asked curiously. "Today is a very special day," Helios replied.

Upon further inspection I noticed all the guards were staring at me with weird looks, almost like they were sad. Why were they all looking at me like that I thought to myself. It wasn't long before I found out. Out in the distance I could see the outline of the infirmary. The moment the infirmary came into view my face filled with dread, my good morning was about to turn sour for today was the extraction day. I turned and buried myself in Helios's robes trying to hide from view. No wonder the guards were looking at me with sympathy. They all knew what was about to happen to me. I was so embarrassed, every guard we passed was there to guard the infirmary and me.

The closer to the infirmary we got the more dense the cluster of guards became, the infirmary being the center of their focal point. It felt like the entire male population of Kosea had turned out today. My cheeks burned hot under Helios's robes. Once inside the infirmary I heard the locks on the doors click shut. Helios set me down, "stand back," he urged me. I watched as Helios and Asa cast spells and enchantments over the door. There was a purple glow enveloping the entire door. When they were done I walked up to the door to touch the purple light. Asa put his hand over mine stopping my hand from touching the light.

"I would advise you not to touch the light. We placed a force field over the infirmary so rogue males can't get in. There is more than one hundred thousand bolts of electricity surrounding that door." The dread on my face sunk to the pit of my stomach. If no one could get in, then that means I wouldn't be able to get out. It was like I was on full lockdown with no chance of escaping. My knees began to shake, as panic set in. Seeing that my knees were about to buckle, Helios scooped me back into his arms. "Before I begin the extraction there is something I want to show you first, follow me." Helios carrying me followed Asa down a long hallway.

We came upon some stairs and descended to a lower level of the infirmary, to a room I haven't seen before. It felt like we had descended three flights before we stopped at two solid metal doors, I recognized the metal instantly. It was the same black metal that glowed limitless dots of lights just like the penthouse my friends were staying at. I watched as Asa traced a pattern in front of the door and I heard a click and the doors parted opening into a dimly lit room inside. "I am the only one who can unlock this door. Not even Helios can open this door," Asa beamed with pride. "Wh... what's inside," my stuttering coming back. Asa waved us in.

Once my eyes adjusted to the dim lighting I saw hundreds of pillars lined up in rows. Inside looked like water kind of like a fish tank and there were tiny blobs of all sizes in each pillar of water. Helios carried me down the aisles until we were in the back staring inside the pillars I noticed that the ones in the back had full grown sized children in them. They were floating in the liquid as if they were sleeping peacefully. Why are there children here?" I asked getting creeped out. "This is we're we keep the extracted offspring. We don't allow females to come to full term because it takes millions of years for them to mature into a baby."

A female would end up pregnant for one million years suffering in pain until she was able to give birth to a child the same size as a newborn on earth. So we extract the offspring and we keep them here until they mature enough to be able to walk on their own or until they reach five million years old. These pillars help them to grow and develop into healthy young children. Thinking about what Asa said kind of made sense, it would be terrible for one to be pregnant for a million years. I reached out touching the glass on the pillar. "Is this where my baby will be too?" I whispered.

Asa nodded, looking around it felt like I was looking at something straight out of a sci-fi horror movie. It must be so cold and lonely down here all alone. I wonder if anyone came to keep the little ones company. "I brought you down here so that you can pick where you want your baby to rest until it matures. There are some spots here that will be suited for the heir of Kosea." Asa led me to three pillars that were set apart from the others. Looking at the distance it seemed quite far from the other children. My baby would be all alone with no one next to it. I shook my head and pointed to a different pillar. "I want that one," I pointed to one that was in the center of a cluster of pillars.

Helios stared at me curiously. Why would she pick that one? Wouldn't she want a better spot for their heir? "I don't want my baby to be alone by itself. It should be surrounded by the other little ones so that it doesn't get lonely. Asa was shocked, he never once thought about something like this before. He was touched by how considerate she was toward her unborn offspring. He nodded going to the one she picked. He pulled up a keypad and punched a couple of buttons, a light emitted from the top and bottom as water began to fill up in the pillar. "It should be finished filling up by the time I am finished with the extraction process and then I can bring the little one here to rest.

"Alright my Queen shall we begin with the extraction," Asa asked clasping his hands together. I shuddered violently in Helios's arms. I wasn't mentally ready yet. I suddenly got a strong urge to relieve myself. I whispered in Helios's ear, "I need a human moment first," I pleaded fear in my eyes. Helios hesitated before nodding. "She needs a human moment before we begin." Asa nodded in understanding, we followed him back up the stairs the doors sealing shut behind us the lock latching in place. Helios carried me to the bathroom and set me down in front of the door. I watched as Asa and Helios went to his desk at the front counter and waited for me there.

I scurried into the bathroom as fast as I could. I relieved myself before I began my search for a way out. There was only one door in and Helios and Asa were standing just outside so that wouldn't work. I looked around the bathroom and spotted a single window leading to the outside. I jumped onto the back of the toilet to observe the window. When I saw the purple glow around the window my heart sank. I stepped off the toilet and headed for the bathroom sink. I grabbed the cup that was there and climbing back on top of the toilet I tossed the cup at the purple light. There was a static shock sound before I watched the cup turn to ashes and fell sprinkling the toilet with what remained of the cup.

My heart was completely crushed. There really was no way out for me. My only shot now was to find a place to hide and hope for the best. I jumped off the toilet and glanced around. It was a simple bathroom that had a couple of showers and a couple of stalls with toilets inside. There were two sinks and a closet off to the left that held towels and linens. There really wasn't much of a hiding place in here. I felt completely and utterly defeated. I sat down just behind the door and hugged my legs to my chest burying my face in my knees. I was scared. There was no way I could go through with this. Did all women feel like this before giving birth?

I sat there for awhile just behind the door refusing to come out of the bathroom. I rocked in the corner trying to calm myself. It wasn't long before I heard Helios's voice calling my name. "Chelsey is everything ok in there?" No response, he frowned getting worried did she somehow manage to get out? He waited a few more minutes before calling out her name again, "Chelsey?" Still she didn't respond. He gently pushed the door open, "I'm coming in!" He whispered softly. He stepped inside looking around. Not seeing her, he began to search for her. He looked behind the shower curtains, and in the stalls, still no sign of her. He opened the closet and checked under the linen and under the sinks. She wasn't there either.

Had she really escaped? He walked over to the window. Seeing the shield was still up he sighed with relief, but then something caught his eye, he saw black ashes on the back of the toilet. Horrified he spun around, "Chelsey!" He shouted in panic. Did she touch the shield and get zapped? Were these her ashes??? He was about to lose it when he heard a faint sob, his heart nearly stopped in his chest. He walked out of the stall following the sound of the sob. Pushing the door closed he saw his Queen trembling in the corner of the bathroom crying. She was still alive!!! She didn't get zapped from the shield!!!

He bent down and reached his hand out to her, stroking her arm he felt her flinch jerking away from his touch. There was only one other time he had seen her this afraid of his touch and that was when he was rescuing her from Earth. His heart ached for her. He almost regretted mating with her. She wouldn't be this distraught if he had never mated and impregnated her. He wished he could take it back. He reached out again wrapping his arms around her, even though she fought against him he still pulled her onto his lap and hugged her tight. "I am here for you my love. Please do not be afraid. My heart hurts seeing you like this."

He stroked her hair and kissed each of her tears that fell from her eyes. "I am a coward, I am not brave like you. I...I can't do this, I...I'm scared," she stammered staring at him through her tear soaked lashes. "Shh Its ok to be afraid my love, this is only your first extraction. I promise I'll be right there with you the whole time. How about we go when you feel that you are ready?" I nodding choking down a sob. I leaned my face against his chest closing my eyes. I cleared my mind, I had to focus. I knew that the extraction had to take place otherwise waiting until later would hurt a lot worse for me if Asa didn't extract the little one from me now. I shuddered thinking about just how much more it could hurt.

I wasn't sure how long we sat there on the bathroom floor behind the door but we did. We sat in total silence, Helios entwining his fingers in mine tracing circles on the back of my hand with his thumb while his other hand rubbed my back soothingly, as I gathered up my courage to go through with the extraction. After what seemed like forever, I looked up at Helios whispering, "I...I think I'm ready." Helios stared into my eyes for a moment before taking my face in his hands and gently placing a kiss on my lips. "Are you sure my love?" I nodded hiding my face in his chest. He stood up with me in his arms. I tossed my arms around his neck holding on tight.

Helios carried her out of the bathroom, he looked over seeing Asa waiting outside with worry on his face, he mouthed the words, "how is she? Will she be ok?" Helios nodded. Asa stared at the Queen who clung to the King's neck. He almost wanted to abandon his job, not wanting to be the one that will cause her so much fear and anxiety.

Not too long ago she had no shame in chasing his tail, and arousing him, but the way she wouldn't even look at him now told him that she was deathly afraid of him. He led the two of them, to the extraction room that he had prepared just for her Highness. He pointed to the bed indicating that he should lay her there.

Helios laid me down in the folds of the bed. I was instantly enveloped in a cloud of warmth. The bed felt warmer than usual. Looking up I saw the lights were dim in here, they weren't like the room I usually stayed in where they were bright white lights. Asa appeared at the foot of my bed, he attached a couple of metal like things to the bed before speaking. We need you to place your feet in the stirrups before we can begin the extraction. I didn't move. I had frozen up again. I jut laid there staring up at the ceiling. In my mind I shouted, Helios help me I don't know what to do. A moment later I felt two pairs of hands take a hold of my ankles and lifted them into the stirrups.

"She's not quite tall enough to reach, I have to scoot her down some," I heard Asa whisper. I felt a pair of hands grasp my waist and pull me all the way to the end of the bed. They both took a hold of my ankles again and this time they were able to get my feet into the stirrups. I felt them buckle my feet into place. I tried to pull my feet back but found that I wasn't able to move them. I was locked into the stirrups. Asa then brought a little table over that held a bunch of metal equipment and tins that probably contained creams of some sort inside. I watched wide eyed as he put on a pair of elastic gloves. He then brought over a chair and the table and set both of them down just below my legs.

"Are you doing ok your highness? Asa paused making sure he wasn't rushing her too fast. I nodded not able to speak. All of a sudden I felt Asa's hands on my thighs as he pushed my legs apart and sat down between my legs that were now spread open before his face. I was about ready to die from embarrassment. I bit my tongue trying to stay silent. Helios came over and took a hold of my hand. "Your doing good, my love. I am right here if you need anything." I nodded again tears welling up in my eyes. With my free hand I clutched the sheet, my legs began trembling in the stirrups. When he spread her legs and sat down in between her thighs he was able to see her treasure up close and personal for the first time.

He saw that she was as bare as a newborn. The scent coming from her was driving him mad, if the King hadn't been standing only two feet from him, he would have loved to inhale her scent. Doctors were supposed to have all the self control in the world when it came to the female body. But staring at her beauty in this compromising position made it almost impossible for him to be able to complete the extraction process. Her body was flushed a pale shade of pink. Her breasts falling with each breath she drew. Her little hand clutching at the sheets beneath her. Her tender thighs hung up in the stirrups shaking and trembling. But with the King standing right there he didn't dare try. He restrained himself donning a poker face as he continued.

"Alright your highness, I need you to relax your knees and your pelvic muscles. I'm going to be inserting an instrument called a speculum, in order to not hurt you, you must relax. My breathing hiked as I tried to relax the best I could. But it wasn't good enough. Helios seeing me struggling to relax he decided it was time to help out, so he bent down and placed his hands on either side of my face and planted a kiss on my lips.

Helios cupped my face in his hands. "I need you to be brave for me ok? Do you think you can do that for me? I trembled under his hands and nodded, gulping Helios leaned down and planted a kiss on my lips shocked I froze, I felt his tongue dart out and caress my bottom lip before parting my lips and sliding into my mouth. My eyes rolled back as I inhaled his scent. I melted under his lips as my tongue met his. Helios nodded slightly toward Asa indicating to him that he should start while he had me momentarily distracted. He grabbed the speculum and checking the temperature on his wrist to make sure it wasn't too hot, he poured a lube on it and parting open her treasure he slid the speculum all the way into her until it hit her cervix.

As Helios withdrew his tongue, I felt something warm, long and solid enter me, I flinched, whimpering and shaking from nervousness. I squeezed Helios's hand, trying to find some comfort. I heard Asa fidget with something when all of a sudden it felt like I was being stretched open wide. I felt an intense pressure inside of my abdomen. I shrieked trying to sit up afraid of what was happening. Asa jumped up holding me down keeping me from sitting up. "Don't move! If you move it could cause your abdomen to rupture. I trembled under Asa's hands. In the heat of the moment he had accidentally laid his hand on my breast trying to keep me from sitting up. His face turned red, jumping backward he let go. Helios let out a low growl sending Asa a warning through his teeth.

Helios threw his arm over me pressing me down slightly so that I wouldn't be able to sit back up again. Asa sat back down between my legs, and grabbed a tin that was filled with a white milky cream. "What is that," I asked weakly. "This is a cream called Misoprostol. We use this to dilate your cervix and to stimulate the dilation process

so that I can go in with enough room to be able to extract the little one. I mixed this with the Kings seed so that it would be a little more potent and speed up the process a little. My jaw snapped shut, I wasn't sure I wanted to ask anymore questions. I should just let Asa do his work before I become even more embarrassed than I already am.

I watched Asa squeeze the cream on his finger, and then his hand entered me. His fingers were really cold, I shivered from the coolness of the cream. He reached all the way inside me until he hit my cervix. I felt his finger glide in a circular motion rubbing the cream on my cervix. I couldn't stop myself. I bit down on Helios's arm that was laying across my chest. I bit down trying to stifle the moans that we're trying to escape my lips from Asa's touch. It was the first time that I had showed violence toward Helios. When I glanced at him he didn't even flinch from my bite. It was almost as if I hadn't bitten him at all. Please let this end, please let this end, please let this end, I kept thinking to myself.

I thought I was going to die. Now I know why the females here didn't like it. Asa withdrew his fingers and squeezed a second round of cream, his hand entered me again as he rubbed more cream on my cervix taking his time inside of me. After Asa was done we waited for about twenty minutes my legs just hanging spread wide open. Helios was grinning from ear to ear like nothing was wrong and I was over here scared and embarrassed with my legs spread open for all to see. I wanted to crawl under the blankets and die. Asa picked up a strange metal looking hook, he turned toward me waiting.

That's when I felt a sharp pain in my pelvic region.

I bit down on Helios again this time not letting go. I could feel my cervix dilating. It was the most uncomfortable feeling I have ever experienced. Tears streamed down my face, I continued biting down on Helios's arm. He squeezed my hand with his free one trying to comfort me. My tummy really hurt, It felt like a stabbing pain. After five more minutes of torture Asa brought over the hook and slid it inside of me. There was a slight tugging sensation inside of me, the next minute I felt a warm liquid gush from between my legs and a splashing sound hitting the floor. I stared at Helios in horror, did I just pee myself?!! This can't be happening! My face turned a deep shade of red as more tears of embarrassment slid down my face.

"I have just broken your water, or the amniotic sac that protects the baby. Your cervix has dialated to about four centimeters. I have to apply a couple more rounds of the Misoprostol so that your cervix can dilate to about ten centimeters before I can extract the little one." No not that cream again, I whimpered trying to close my knees, but failing miserably, the stirrups prevented me from being able to close my legs, my feet trapped inside unable to break free. Helios brushed the hair out of my face rubbing my head trying to take my mind off of the extraction. I felt Asa's fingers slide inside of me again as he rubbed more of the cream on my cervix. A layer of sweat formed on my body as my heart rate increased from the pain of the dilation process. This was the worst part yet, I cried as my cervix dilated to the ten centimeters that Asa needed.

Just when the second round of waiting twenty minutes passed I saw Asa grab a vial and a metal tool that looked like mini tongs but a lot longer. He sat down and stared up at me with a very serious expression on his face, "for this next part you can not under any circumstance move an inch. I am getting ready to extract the baby. One wrong move can cause me to accidentally slip and kill it. My eyes widened in shock. I stared at Helios blinking the tears away from my eyes. Gathering up my last ounce of strength I sat as still as I possibly could. I felt Helios's arm put a little more pressure across my chest making sure that I wouldn't move. Helios nodded letting Asa know that we were ready.

Holding my breath I watched Asa grab a mechanical arm device that had what looked like a computer sized X-ray screen attached to it and pulled in over my stomach. When he turned it on I could see a tiny blob that expanded and contracted inside of me. Asa dove back in and I felt the long pair of tongs enter me. They went through my cervix and into my womb. It took everything in my power to not tremble as I felt the tongs scraping the inside of my womb. Sweat was pouring down my face and my heart was beating in my throat. In a matter of minutes Asa had a hold of the baby pulling it out from within me. He grabbed the vial and gently placed the fetus inside. He poured a clear liquid into the vial before sealing it up completing the extraction.
