My first fight went way better than I anticipated, if you could actually call it a fight. Felt more like an assault. I was currently riding a bicycle that I had rented from the park. If I was going to keep doing this vigilante thing, I would need to find a better method of transport.
Finally reaching the trailer park after twenty good minutes, I circled around the field, all the way to the two buildings that were overlooking it. This would be a good observing point. After climbing all the way to the roof and destroying the lock that stopped anyone from accessing it, I could finally catch my breath.
The trailer park on its entirety was practically empty. There were only three trailers and they were each about 200 meters apart and I needed to get a better look, except I didn't have binoculars. So I just summoned a common sniper rifle, The Barrett M82 to be exact. Its range was close to 2000 meters so it was more than enough for the trailer that were about 300 meters away from me.
Out of the three trailers the furthest one away turned out to be the 147. Through the window I could see a man who looked like he was cooking. He had brown eyes, thin lips and a pierced ear and his hairy was greasy, it looked like he was trying to cover up the balding spot in the center of his head, and it wasn't working. He also happened to be Hispanic. This was our man, Jerry.
After he finished cooking, he sat down to eat, but it looked like he was talking to someone. He kept on mouthing words and laughing.
This was my chance, while he was eating I ran down the building and sprinted across the park, all the way to his trailer. I climbed up the ladders that could be found on the side of the vehicle and perched myself there, watching and listening through the glass hatch on the roof.
The inside of the trailer looked relatively normal, except for that fact that there were several shelves that were aligned with toy models of cars, boats, buildings and what looked like trophies. On one side of the trailer, Jerry looked preoccupied with his noodles. I tried to get a better look on the other side, before I got interrupted by Jerry talking,
"This is your chance chance Debby, your mama and papa are gone, and you have to start fending for yourself. Even though they left you in my care it doesn't mean I'll always be there for you. It's not even that dangerous, all you have to do is just watch the towers and you get paid. That's it. You don't understand how lucky you are to have the same powers as I do. Who could've thought baby Debby was a supe.",He took a slurp of his soup before he continued.
"You have to understand you don't have much of an option here," He said in a much serious tone. "You either join me and the Silvers or you end up like those teens you saw get carried in here. So you think about that. You have till morning. By the time I wake up I hope you will have made up your mind." He stood up and started washing the dish he used. After that he brushed his teeth and slumped himself onto his bed. I guess even villains are hygienic.
Now all that was left, was to wait. I needed to make sure he was sleeping before I leaped into action. After about 20 minutes of waiting, it looked like he was dead asleep.
I opened the hatch as silently as I could and used a scythe to lower myself. I didn't want to jump in and alert our friend here. After landing the first thing I did was look at the other side of the room, wanting to find out more about this Debby person.
And there she was. A small Hispanic girl with bangs. She looked like she hadn't eaten in days. She was also tied to a pole that was in the corner of the room, her mouth gagged. What kind of messed up shit is this? I had no idea what was going on, all I knew was that I needed to help her.
Moving closer to her I slowly shook her awake, trying not to startle her. It was to no avail, the second she saw me she started crying and what I think was pleading. Was my costume that scary? Maybe it was the mask or the hood.
I put my finger to my mouth and gestured for her to shush. I gestured towards sleeping beauty who was on the other side of the room and started untying the not that was keeping her from leaving, but right after I finished, the sound of shuffling could be heard behind me and a familiar voice said,
" Who do we have here, a good Samaritan trying to save the damsel in distress. Listen man, it's better that you just leave before you start something you can't finish."
Jerry walked towards one of the shelves and grabbed a handful of what seemed to be toy cars and proceeded to chuck one right underneath me before he stepped back. He looked cautious.
"Uh, why did u throw a toy car at me?"
"Who said it was a toy?"
Before I could even ask what he meant, something underneath me exploded with enough force that it flung me out the window.
