Chapter 29: Holy Grail
Jin's POV
Penelope and I were quickly heading to the left wing of the palace where two keyholes can be found.
"Galahad is a religious man, I can't promise you that he'll grant our request" Penelope said while running, heading to the second floor of the left wing.
"How far can a man's faith walk beside him? Well, even if he won't agree, we can simply force him to" I replied while catching up to her.
"It's not that easy. You can't just use force every time. Besides, Galahad is unbeatable" Penelope said.
"I'm also strong you know" I bluffed.
"He's not unbeatable because he's strong, it's because he's protected" Penelope replied.
"Who's protecting him?" I asked.
"God" She simply replied" Jin, I'm just curious. How did you and Lady 167th meet?"
"Well, it's a long story" I replied.
"We have time" Penelope said.
"Well, at first I was just level 1" I started.
"Everyone is" Penelope butted.
"Let me finish. Well, yes everyone starts at level one but they quickly level up. While I was stuck at level 1 for 9 years. I was afraid of monsters back then. Ironic, my job back then was a dungeon porter and I'm afraid of mobs" I laughed.
"I'm listening. Go on" Penelope replied.
"Well, one day while I was working, something unexpected happened. A level 4 dungeon just became a level I-don't-f***king-know. The group I was working with that day was Jane and Mark's group. The Spectre. Hades and Cerberus showed up that day and we were defeated. The next thing I know is that I woke up in a hospital. They said two of their members were abducted. At first, our goal was just to rescue them but things went crazy. The Underworld Army came out from Death City and caused some havoc all over the place"
"Is the Underworld Army strong?" Penelope asked.
"That's based on how you define strong" I replied and we halted. We arrived at the second floor. The corridor was lit with dimmed candles and the floor was tiled crystal white.
"This place really gives me the creeps. I mean look at this place" Penelope said.
"Did you forget you lived in this place?" I joked.
"I rarely come to this place" She shrugged.
"Oh almighty deity. Save us from this living hell" A synchronized voice can be heard echoing through the corridor.
"Jeez. Why does being religious sound so creepy?" Penelope complained.
"It's just you being an atheist" I replied.
"Shut up" She shrugged. We continued our way to the chapel while the voices grew louder. The nearer we are to the chapel the more deafening the voices are.
"What is happening here?" I asked as I covered my ears.
"I don't know" Penelope replied.
"Why aren't you affected?" I asked as I squinted in pain.
"Oh right" She replied and flicked her finger.
[Penelope used Purification]
"That's a curse usually used by demons. I suspected Galahad would be here right now fighting them" She said and opened the door. The deafening sound became a whisper.
Inside the room, a knight in a white robe was protecting himself using a holy imbued sphere from a swarm of demons attacking him.
"Galahad! We came here to help" Penelope shouted.
[Penelope used Light Sword]
She slashed the demons with a sword of light emitted from her hands.
[Jin equipped Andromeda]
"Is their weakness light attribute imbued spells?" I asked.
"Well kind of... Holy, light and the likes" She replied and continued fending the demons from Galahad's protective sphere.
[Jin used Heaven Splitter]

The demons have been eliminated and Galahad is now safe.
"Thanks, I don't think I can hold on any longer" Galahad said.
"Rejoice! You are at the presence of the almighty Niru'tika!" A female demon waltzed in.
"You're not that almighty to me" Penelope mocked.
"Oh almighty god of heaven and earth, exile this creature in front of us and purify our lands. May your name be called upon thy follower" Galahad prayed.
"HAHAHAHAHAHA, how pathetic" Niru'tika laughed as a bunch of knights entered the room "Kill them you useless insects!"
The knights draw their swords towards us.
"You really dared use our army against us?" Penelope grunted.
"What can I do? I'm highly exceptional in the field of war and in the field of making love" Niru'tika replied.
I'm ready Andromeda. I noticed Galahad chanting a spell and Penelope making a magic circle. It looks like I'm not the only one getting ready to attack.
"Your weakness is light right?" I said and she just gazed at me.
"Young man, lend me a hand. Take care of the knights and I will take care of Niru'tika" Galahad whispered and I nodded.
I dashed at the guards and parried their swords. Some of them fought back but Penelope stopped their mobility.

"You brats!" Niru'tika shouted as she approached us.

Then, a giant metal cross flew at high speed towards Niru'tika piercing her.
"Finish the knights!" Galahad said.

"So that's it" I asked as I catched my breath.
"We still need to ask Galahad-" Penelope said.
"I will open the keyhole. Just signal me when." Galahad replied.
"But isn't that-" Penelope added.
"In times of crisis, a follower must save lives rather than save an insignificant dignity of one" Galahad replied "Now go, and let me be in peace in this sanctuary"
