Only if....

At Joe's café. Gavin and mild decided to meet up for a coffee and some chat. Gavin was feeling overwhelmed by everything that is happening with Mike he wanted to get it off from his mind and mild is friends with Mike also so he decides to go for him to clear his feelings out.

"So how things are going with Mike?" mild asked Gavin.

Gavin gives a slight smile "I don't know…"

"What do you mean you don't know?" mild ask with a frown.

"I mean I don't know what I am feeling exactly… I never thought I would be interested in a guy in the first place but I guess the concept of liking someone doesn't include their gender". Gavin said while twirling his finger around the cup of coffee.

"So, you are saying you like Mike…aha…that's a progress…" mild ask in curiosity.

Gavin frowned his eyebrows "I don't want to admit it… but I think… I like mike".

Mild gave Gavin a cheeky smile "sooooo … have you told him?"

Gavin takes a sip of his coffee not answering the question. 

Mild gave him a look "why are you acting like a kid?"

"What do you mean?" Gavin frowns his eyebrows.

"You like him… he likes you… just get on with the second base and heat things up" mild said while showing vulgar gestures.

Gavin leaned forward and hit him on his head "you really haven't changed… stop acting like shit..." Gavin scolds him.

Mild laughed "okay … I won't tease just tell me what is really going on?"

Gavin leaned back and sighed "i... I mean I am not sure… I want to say it out loud but I am not sure yet." 

"Dude… what are you not sure about... it was written all over your face that how much you are into him" mild pulled Gavin's cheek.

Gavin backed off "hey… it hurts"

"What are you waiting for?"

"I don't know … last night we talked … like talked a lot… I mean being with him is good but I am not sure what exactly is going on…" Gavin said with uncertainly in his voice.

"Just talked???" mild gave him a cocky smile while teasing him.

"Shut your dirty mind please… we just talked." Gavin glared at mild.

"Okay okay I won't tease but seriously though, I know Mike for years now and this is the first time I saw him like this. I mean it is hilarious to see him acting like a fool in front of you sometimes. I have always seen him as an introvert. All he does was slam his face in those files he has been a super workaholic ever since I know him. But that changed when he met you. He is a completely different person now… and I can see that he is serious about you" mild said smiling softly.

"But don't you think it might be just us going through some phase. I mean he has never dated anyone before and the same goes for me…"

"Do you think even if you go through some phase you go with the person you don't like or are interested in.? and what are you 12 who is going through puberty? You are smart and mature and for fuck's sake you are a psychiatrist. So, act like one and figure things out before things change …stop overthinking… let it be just gone with the flow… say things when you feel like saying it. don't overthink and don't rush it. When the time comes you realize it yourself." Mild said.

Hearing the big speech from his friend really made him realize that he needs to face things before he regrets not taking initiative while he could. so, Gavin just nodded in silence.

  After hanging out with mild Gavin went back to his clinic. Where mark was waiting for his appointment.

"So, what is so important that you want to talk about mark?" Gavin asked mark who came for his appointment.

"Actually, I am having trouble sleeping lately. I feel anxious all the time."

  "has something happened lately?" Gavin asked.

"not anything particular but I feel like everyone is looking at me like I have done something wrong, "Mark said.

"Mark I know what you have been through and it's tough to see things normally, but I just want to say this to you even if people are looking at you it's none of their business to judge you or make assumptions about you. You are stronger than you think." Gavin told mark.

A smile appeared on mark's face. "I don't know Gavin but your words really calm me down every time. I feel at ease just by seeing you..." He stopped for a sec then continued "if only you could…." he mumbled.

"what??? I didn't catch it? what did you say?" Gavin narrowed his eyebrow. 

"no nothing... I just want to say that I am grateful to have you in my life... I mean..."

Gavin interrupted "I am sorry mark but I think you will be fine without me. you are a great person and you are strong to face things but it just you keep doubting yourself that makes you anxious"

Mark is 32, a well-accomplished businessman who owns a multimedia entertainment company. Mark lost his parent when he was 10 after that he grow up in an orphanage till a rich family adopted him. But later he gets to know they were his relative who was after his money which had no idea about till he was 14. When he gets to know the truth he confronted his relatives but they insulted him and beat him. He left the family. He came across the entertainment world, doing little jobs and experiencing things. He got discovered by an agent and later become a well-known model and after years of money-making and hard work. He opened up his own production company. later on, he got caught in some bad company which led him to a very rough time.

Mark always felt the loneliness and emptiness in his life until he met Gavin. Mark was partnered with Ava Gavin's mother for a project. Mark met Gavin usually at parties and dinner with Gavin's mother. He finds Gavin a smart, attractive, and kind person. but one day when he put himself in danger due to his bad company Gavin came to rescue and helped him. Gavin literally saved his life So Later when he found out Gavin is a psychiatrist he went to him as a patient to know more about him and keep him close. Getting to know more about Gavin he fell in love with him. But knowing Gavin is Straight and not interested in men he just decides to keep him close and he felt like it would be enough.

after talking for like an hour the session ended.

"that all for today, I hope you take my suggestion and just make small changes. I am sure you will feel less anxious" Gavin said.

"yeah I will do that.. but you know what will help me more?" Mark asked with a smile.

"what?" 

"a dinner... you and me" mark said.

"I am really busy mark."

"I can wait." mark is persistent.

Gavin shook his head "I will think about it and let you know".

  Mark stood up and thanked Gavin with a wide smile and reminded him about dinner and left. 

a few moments, later Gavin stood up and went to his desk to get some water, and picked up his phone to check. as he was scrolling through the screen. he felt arms around his waist Gavin flinched as someone whispered in his ear. "Missed me, my angel?"

A smile appeared on Gavin's face "more as you missed me what are you doing here?".

just then door open mark was standing there... stunned... he clenching his fist... 

Gavin parted abruptly "oh! mark did you forget something" Gavin asked mark trying to hide his red ears.

Mark controlled himself and put a smile on his face and walked forward "ya i... I forgot my phone." He walked towards the table and picked up his phone and walked out gritting his teeth...
