Truth and Pain

If an ouroboros snake biting its own appeared, at the back of any male baby, then that signifies they were a demon child, coupled with having double or even triple eyes as they grew.

With their purifying method, the children would be taken away either by free will or by force, to the gods shrine far away which was to avoid any sort of impending crisis that would befall the villages.

And anyone found housing a *Demon child* would be looked at with contempt, bullied and treated unfairly, and most importantly might be burnt alive.

[Hidden Quest has been completed]

[Hidden Quest details: Host have gained more knowledge about *Demon Child*]

[500 Exp has been received]

[2,350 Exp/15,000]

"What?" Tobi blurted out in shock.

When Christopher and Christy, saw Tobi's expression they weren't surprised he reacted like that, after all, they did the same thing when they got to know about the real truth of *Demon Child*.

However, what they didn't know was Tobi's reaction was for a completely different reason.

'Why did I receive Exp, after mother and father told me about the real truth of demon children?'

'Is there some sort of relation between the acclaimed EYES OF THE GODS, the child Levi, and me?'

Tobi thought to himself, with a confounded look on his expression. After listening to his parents talk about it, for some reason he felt things weren't that simple, most especially he felt there was some kind of connection after he suddenly received this system message.

While he was thinking, Ada on the other hand, couldn't stop sobbing, her eyes had tears in them as she sobbed quietly.

She barely knew what to do at this point, even though she wanted to brawl her eyes and emotions out, she was also afraid that she might make her little brother feel even more devastated about his situation.

She didn't want to sink his mood or the gloomy atmosphere they were already in, now that she knew what had happened to her older brother she felt really dejected and heartbroken.

Ada wanted nothing more at this moment, as she wished for those wicked people to die, for all the bad things they did.

However, no matter how much she hated the people who took her elder brother, cursed them, and wanted them to die. She knew she couldn't do anything, she was just a weak girl who was as helpless as her current situation because the same situation was about to occur again on her little brother.

She felt incomparably sad, as she couldn't stop sobbing uncontrollably, Christy and Christopher both tears brimming at the corner of their eyes, but they still held it in.

They couldn't show their weakness by crying in front of their children, who they were supposed to comfort, if they did things would not only worsen it would even go out of hand.

After comforting themselves, they realized though they were powerless and couldn't change what had happened a few years ago.

However, compared to before they now had a much broader experience so they still had the chance to work hard and change the perspective of the future, that was yet to come.

Which meant, they had no time to waste on crying rather it was best to plan the way to escape from the village, without being caught or seen by anyone.

And possibly after their escape with their children, they would try to live any normal life as possible by hiding Tobi's identity. Until they found a way to remove such a curse on him.

But if they couldn't, they would just live their life like natives, far far away in some hidden forest.

Tobi looked towards the inner part of the room of his second sister Belle and noticed how she was peacefully sound asleep. He was the one, that had deliberately encouraged his parents to not divulge the truth about the *Demon Children* to her.

Christopher and Christy at first were surprised, but then realized he wasn't doing this out of selfishness but because he couldn't bear his sister go through another round of pain than the one she was already dealing with, this made them feel so proud of their son.

Tobi sat down, he couldn't help himself as his thoughts rummage about, after listening to the story and the system notifications.

He felt that those people knew about the existence of *Demon Children. Which there was a possibility of them, being seen as some sort of threat to exterminate their existence.

But again everything felt wrong at the same time, where were those Children taken to? But if those people truly knew about their existence, why call them *Demon children* and take them away? Most of all to only God knows where.

He felt his head, spinning high and high that he felt like his head was spurring out smoke from in his numerous helpless guesses.

'There is no point thinking about the past, now is the present I need to think ahead.' Tobi thought.

Belle was Tobi's second sister, she was fine for about seven years of her life. However, that changed a year and a couple of months ago, her whole life went through an extreme change that left a scar on both her mental and her physical health.

A child who wasn't born with any congenital condition, suddenly realized her health was suddenly deteriorating for some reason unknown to them.

At first, everyone thought it was just normal frostbite from the winter extreme coldness. But then they noticed, it was more than just that, they found out her body seemed to be going through some changes yet it wasn't a growth spurt.

But a gruesome and imaginable illness, that was slowly grinding away on her health, preventing her from doing excessive physical exercise, and also made her prone to the weather's climate.

Fast pacing was more than enough to leave momentarily disabled. She would cough several times, and when things get even worse, the cough would exact blood from her orifice.

At this point, everyone realized things had probably gotten out of hand, and they couldn't overlook her health anyone.

After feeding her herbal potions, the pain was only alleviated momentarily, however it wouldn't last long. Since her health, would start acting up after some time.

This scared Christopher and Christy, and they had no choice but run to the town to call the midwife. However, most of the time they called for her, it was either she wasn't around or was always busy, Christy couldn't tell if she was really busy or just ignoring them, because she gave birth to a *Demon Child*

But they still tried, nevertheless.
