When Tobi had first received the notification, he nearly laughed out loud with an inferred ridicule towards Tim.

However, he also wondered why the system would give him such a quest. After thinking for a while, in the end, he came to a conclusion that the system was reacting to the fact he had a feud with Tim.

After having officially shown that he could read and write, Tobi practice it every day at least pretending to, while ingraining every bit of his experiments in his mind. While his family considered him a genius...

He knew better than anyone else it was because of the system, his assessment speed had doubled more than tenfold and seemed to be increasing.

Through these increases and enhancement from a normal human to a *Demon* his body, mind, and memory had become top-notch much more like an ascension to a higher being, memorizing any content to him was like a monkey eating a banana.

With the system abilities, everything he reads seemed like he knew them beforehand and without even missing a single word.

Striking the iron while it was still hot, he would ask for little books filling his mind with the ones he finds important and interesting. Christopher and Christy were still on cloud nine, so they didn't make any questions out of the ordinary.

When the weather was finally cleared up, Christy finally decided she couldn't keep on calling the midwife any longer, instead decided that it was best to take Belle to her clinic instead of waiting to be checked up by her.

With all the cold and wind during the former season, no matter the efforts of Christopher and Tim in maintaining the house there seem to be places they always missed out on and would always find some bad areas.

Belle had been coughing more than enough for Christy to be seriously worried about her, leaving behind Tim with a sense of victory and success in his grasp.

Even though he knew the b*tch was taking her daughter for a medical check, he wasn't a bit worried or panicking after his mother had assured him that the poison was a silent killer and wouldn't be noticeable except the person had died for more than a month.

Christy also, couldn't care less about the weather anymore, as she took the horse wagon first thing in the morning and brought Belle to the southern side of the village of Amai to meet with the Midwife.

The bad weather had lasted longer than they were expecting, the accumulated farm works needed everyone's hands to be on deck before another season comes.

She had to bring Tobi along, as the previous event was still clear in her mind. After wrapping them with thick blankets, they had begun their trip to the clinic.

Tobi was really happy, it was the first time for him to see the world outside his home and farm boundary. There was much he could learn from such an experience.

When they were in sight, much of Tobi's doubts got cleared up. It wasn't just his family, the whole village resembled one of the early medieval drawings one would see in history books.

There was no sign of any complex technology, even a windmill or a watermill would have been considered a marvel of science.

When he asked Christy about their village, she explained that was he was too young to know about unimportant things.

Amai was consisted of a few buildings appearing here, and there leaving enough spaces between them. Not even a single building was made of proper cement stone except bricks, they all seemed like it was made of red or black sands, and woods.

There was no road pavement of any sort. And even the space between the houses was just like the road to the village, bare earth and sand.

From the signs hung outside the various buildings, his line of sight could picture various shops and what they represent such as a blacksmith, a tavern, and a tailor shop.

However, the bakeries generally didn't need any sign or advertisement. The delicious smell, that came out of its chimneys was enough to make every passerby drool by the smell.

Even Tobi could already daydream about a city, full of freshly baked loaves of bread.

When they arrived at the midwife clinic, Tobi was a bit surprised, it was much different from what he had imagined. It wasn't built like any sort of medical resident area. Instead, it was built like a house which it's size consisted of three times his parent's own, yet Christy had mentioned a couple of times that this was a clinic and not necessarily a house even though she lived beside it.

In his eyes, it meant more than one thing, either she was that rich to afford such a big land, or his parents were just too poor.

After keeping the horse wagon at the parking lot, Tobi realized the door was open and once inside.

The first thing he noticed, was a light medical odourant disinfectant though he wasn't too familiar with clinics, this scent was rather familiar in his previous life.

However, with such heightened senses as his own, he had immediately picked up the weird smell and the feeling of a doctor's medication room.

The moment his hands made contact with the huge door that led to a single huge room, he nearly choked on what came after.

So much to that, he had the feeling whatever he was inhaling was no longer air but a toxic odor filled with herbs and incense.

On the left side of the room, there was a door, probably leading to other medical quarters.

While on the right side his ears stood on ends as he could already hear voices of women, a wide curtain appeared before them which the midwife was visiting and treating her patients.

The rest of the space was filled with wooden benches and chairs. Which many of them were already taken.

However, the moment of their arrival seem to be attracting much more attention.

People slowly started giving them heated stared and glares, it was at this point Christy remember she had forgotten to bring a scarf for Tobi, due to the fact she had been so in haste to bring Belle for a medical check-up.

"Oh, what is it that stink? What is a *Demon Child* doing here?" Some of the women, who seemed to have been in an intense conversation said with disgust, as they slowly shifted their eyes over.

Christy, felt a bit dejected for not remembering to cover Tobi up, even though she was proud of her son and didn't want to hide her child, the situation was forced. So much that, they might even attack him, if possible.

As the environment slowly changed, low gasps and scornful gazes which made the entire room tense were felt around them...
