Daniel looked at the uprising cheers and nodded inwardly, he could already guess what was running through the minds of these mercenaries, with years spent on being one himself, if he could not know this much about his profession he might as well have been a caveman, his years of being a mercenary had made him become aware of their weak and strong points.

Even though he was disappointed how much mercenaries valued money than their lives, needless to say, he had once been just like that.

Give, or take was there ever a time mercenaries were truly close friends, besides fame, wasn't their sole aim of coming together for benefits? Hence people just found themselves becoming shrewd, selfish, and ruthless for benefits.

After all, true loyalty is too rare of a commodity.

They called themselves resourceful and smart enough, to the point of even abandoning their teammates.
