Doubts

The man she called her husband, slowly walked over to her side, as he gently tried to pick up her hands beside her. She barely knew what to do anymore, except letting her beautiful eyes brim with tears and that meant trouble for him.

She stood there, dazed for a moment before loosening her grip on the rope holding the basket on the dining table. Then she slowly walked towards the inner room, after a taking brief excuse.

Christopher stood where he was, with a myriad of expressions, as he stared at his wife walking away from him. There was already a storm within his heart, that he couldn't run away from the one brewing beside him. After a deep sigh, he sat down quietly with a lifeless look in his eyes, at this point he knew explaining himself was as good as useless the best he could do apart from begging, was to pray that his wife and children could find it in their hearts to forgive him.
