Down Memory Lane

Senna quickly walks up the stairs and enters the girl's restroom. She walks up to the mirror and stares at it. She then opens her gift and places the red ribbon in her hair.

"He's not a bad guy once you get to know him. He's pretty nice," said Senna.

Senna turns around and exits the girl's restroom. She starts to skip away until she sees a river in the window. She stops moving and looks through the window.

"That river," thought Senna.

Senna starts to remember something that happened at the river. She remembers her younger self running after her father. She gets close enough and tries to grab him, but he fades away and he just falls. She then starts to remember the funeral of someone that she thinks is her father, but he looks completely different.

"Dad?" thought Senna.

Senna then starts to remember something else. Her father looks completely different and her mother is finally seen. It seems that they are sitting down and having a nice dinner.

"What is happening?" thought Senna.

Senna steps back until she remembers the second memory.

"Dad was buried at a graveyard, so that is where I must go," said Senna.

Senna starts to run out of the shopping center. She makes sure to run in the opposite direction, so Kuroi can't find her. She continues to run until she reaches a graveyard. She slowly opens the door and enters the burial place. She stops moving when she remembers something else.

"This is my funeral. Mom and dad are here too," said Senna.

Before she can continue to remember things, she is grabbed by a Blank. She screams and steps back. The Blanks multiply as they approach their prey. Before she can step back some more, a giant man falls from the sky and lands behind her. Senna instantly backflips away from him.

"Who are you?" asked Senna.

"You have better reflexes than I thought," said the giant man.

Senna escapes her gigai and puts her hand on her sheathed blade.

"Why are you here and what do you want?" asked Senna.

"I'm going to be your escort. My commander ordered to summon you," said the giant man.

"Summon me? Who is this guy? I never heard of him," said Senna.

"That information is unimportant to you," said the giant man.

"I told you not to waste time talking," said a man.

Senna turns around and sees multiple armored people standing on top of graves.

"You're foolish for jumping out like that," said the woman.

"Relax. This will only take a second," said the giant man.

Senna jumps and launches herself at the giant man. She tries to attack him, but her blade is blocked by his Chakram blades.

"Stop it. That tickles," said the giant man.

The giant man punches Senna in the stomach and she flies back. Before she can get back up, the giant man jumps and nearly lands on her. He then grabs her by her neck and holds her in the air.

"This was too easy. I thought that a weasel like you would be more dangerous," said the giant man.

Before the giant man can keep gloating, both of his arms fall off. He screams in pain after he sees that his arms have been cut off. He looks forward and sees Senna being held by Kuroi.

"Why do you continue to run away?" asked Kuroi.

"My father was buried here," said Senna.

"You're remembering things now. That's good," said Kuroi.

"Are you going to deal with these guys?" asked Senna.

"Why wouldn't I? They hurt you, so I'm going to return the pain," said Kuroi.

"Why can't you just let me deal with my problems?" asked Senna.

"I promised that I would help you battle your amnesia, so I won't allow anybody to stop you from regaining what you've lost," said Kuroi.

"My arms! You're going to die for this!" exclaimed the big man.

"If I was able to cut your arms off with no difficulty, I doubt that your head would be a hard task," said Kuroi.

"We don't have time for this. The time is yet to come," said a man.

The big man's allies start to disappear.

"Where are they going?" asked Kuroi.

"We'll settle this later," said the big man.

The big man also disappears like his allies.

"One of those guys said that the time is yet to come. What is he talking about?" said Kuroi.

"I don't know," said Senna.

"Don't worry about it. If they come back, I can easily take them down," said Kuroi.

"I'm sorry for running away. I got a large number of memories at the same time and I decided to come here. My entire family is buried here," said Senna.

"That's kind of weird. Usually, family members aren't buried in the same place," said Kuroi.

"I know, but my family is different. We probably live around here as well," said Senna.

"Do you need help finding your house?" asked Kuroi.

"Not tonight. We can pick up on this tomorrow," said Senna.

"Where are you going?" asked Kuroi.

"I don't know. I just like to wander," said Senna.

"Wandering can get you killed. Those guys nearly killed you. I can't allow you to be by yourself," said Kuroi.

"What are you trying to say?" asked Senna.

"Come home with me. I don't think those guys will try to attack you with me around," said Kuroi.

"If you wanted me to come over, you could have just said that," said Senna.

"Don't make this weird. I'm just trying to help," said Kuroi.

"Whatever," said Senna.

Kuroi and Senna walk out of the small graveyard. They walk for a few minutes until they reach Kuroi's house. Kuroi opens the door and they walk in. They walk up the stairs and find Kuroi's room. Kuroi opens his room's door and Senna runs into it and jumps on his bed.

"Don't do that. My bed is weak from age," said Kuroi.

"Why do all boy bedrooms look so bland?" asked Senna.

"My room isn't bland. I don't even spend much time in here. I spend more time training and fighting Hollows," said Kuroi.

"Your life sounds like fun. Does your family approve of what you do?" said Senna.

"My dad's also a soul reaper, so he doesn't care," said Kuroi.

"Your dad sounds cool. My dad was completely different," said Senna.

"How was your father?" asked Kuroi.

"I don't like to talk about it," said Senna.

"Your father wasn't a nice guy, was he?" asked Kuroi.

"I wouldn't say that. He had issues," said Senna.

"Do you know why those guys attacked you? Have you met them before?" asked Kuroi.

"I don't know who those guys were, but they said that their commander wanted me brought to him," said Senna.

"Anything else?" asked Kuroi.

"That's it. If you didn't come, I could have found out more," said Senna.

"If I didn't come, that brute would have choked you out. You should be glad that I came," said Kuroi.

Senna starts to lay on Kuroi's bed and takes her shoes off.

"Why are you doing that?" asked Kuroi.

"I'm going to sleep here," said Senna.

"No, you're not. This is my room. You can't just choose to sleep in here," said Kuroi.

"What's the big deal? If you want to sleep in your bed, we can just sleep together," said Senna.

"Tempting offer, but I'm not tired," said Kuroi.

Kuroi walks towards the door and turns the light off.

"Have sweet dreams and don't let the bedbugs bite," said Kuroi.

Kuroi exits the room and closes the door. He walks down the stairs and hears the phone ring. He walks up to it and picks it up.

"Who is it?" asked Kuroi.

"It's Kisuke. How's it going? Have you found out anything about the Shinenju?" said Kisuke.

"I've found nothing, but I faced off against some armored guys who wanted to take Senna," said Kuroi.

"Are you alright?" asked Kisuke.

"I'm fine. They were weak anyway. Plus, they took off before I could deal with them," said Kuroi.

"That's good. The main reason that I'm calling you is that I talked to Ichigo. He said that Kon has been rambling about seeing a guy in armor when you guys first saw Senna. He couldn't remember much, so we took him and analyzed his memories," said Kisuke.

"What did you find?" asked Kuroi.

"The people in armor are from a group that was banished from the Soul Society after their coup d'etat failed. The main questions are why are they here and what do they want?" said Kisuke.

"They want her, Kisuke. I don't know why, but they're coming for her," said Kuroi.

"She must be special," said Kisuke.

"She has an extreme case of amnesia. Maybe she did something to them or took something from them. I'll find out by the end of the weekend," said Kuroi.

"Two days may not be enough," said Kisuke.

"I won't fail her," said Kuroi.

"Ok. Just come over if you find anything else," said Kisuke.

"I'll be there early on Monday morning. Good night," said Kuroi.

Kuroi hangs up the phone and takes a seat on the couch.

"This will be a hectic weekend, but I can't fail her. I promised that I'll help her recover her memories. I refuse to fail anyone else," said Kuroi.
