The Execution of Xcution

After trying to stab Kuroi in the back, Ginjo decided to jump in the way and take the hit. After the stab, Ginjo's body falls out of the air and rockets towards the ground. Kuroi darts towards Ginjo and grabs him before he touches the ground. He hovers to a rooftop and gently places him on it.

"Are you ok, Ginjo?" asked Kuroi.

"I'm fine. Don't let me distract you. Take him down," said Ginjo.

Before the two Fullbringers can continue speaking, Tsukishima rockets towards Kuroi. He tries to slash Kuroi on his back, but Kuroi turns around quickly enough and blocks him with his blade.

"Just stay here. I'll be done with him in a few minutes," said Kuroi.

"Just don't let him slash you. That's how his Fullbring works," said Ginjo.

"I know," said Kuroi.

"Kuroi," said Uryu.

Kuroi turns his head and sees his Quincy friend standing on the rooftop a few feet away from him.

"Uryu, why are you here?" asked Kuroi.

Uryu pulls out his reishi bow and aims it at Kuroi.

"Kuroi, come here," said Uryu.

"As if," said Kuroi.

"What are you doing? I'm on your side," said Uryu.

"Are you? I had to fight Orihime, Chad, Tatsuki, and Ichigo tonight. How do I know that you're on my side?" said Kuroi.

"Because the guy who cut me is standing behind you!" exclaimed Uryu.

Kuroi partially turns his head and sees Ginjo standing behind him. Uryu launches a large number of arrows at Ginjo, but he blocks them with his hand. He tries to slash Kuroi, but he dodges easily. Tsukishima appears behind Kuroi and tries to slash him on the back, but he only slashes his arm.

"I knew that I couldn't trust you. I should listen to my gut more," said Kuroi.

"If you did, we wouldn't have become good friends," said Ginjo.

"You're not my friend. Why did you do all of this?" said Kuroi.

"I want your Fullbring," said Ginjo.

"Why do you need it? Your Fullbring is already strong enough," said Kuroi.

"You're correct. My Fullbring is already pretty strong but you are a powerhouse. Your Fullbring will help us a lot," said Ginjo.

"You want to take revenge on the Soul Society, don't you?" asked Kuroi.

"How did you come to that conclusion?" asked Ginjo.

"If you want to steal my power, you need it to fight someone powerful. The only powerhouses that exist are in the Soul Society. You lied to Tatsuki and Chad about Tsukishima. You were the substitute soul reaper that went on a killing spree because he found out that the badge was a spying device. Now, you want to kill everyone in the Soul Society," said Kuroi.

"You're a very smart kid. That's what I like about you," said Ginjo.

"You won't take my Fullbring. I won't let you," said Kuroi.

"You don't have to let me take it. I already have," said Ginjo.

"What do you-," said Kuroi.

Before Kuroi can finish speaking, he is stabbed in the back by Ginjo and his Fullbring is taken.

"How did you get so fast?" asked Kuroi.

"I've been holding back for a long time now. You wouldn't know that because you never met the real me," said Ginjo.

Ginjo takes his blade out of Kuroi's chest and his necklace falls to the ground as rain pours down on the city.

"Let's go, Tsukishima. Our job is done here," said Ginjo.

"We can't just leave him right here. We took his Fullbring, so the least we could do is give him an umbrella," said Tsukishima.

"Have you gotten soft, Tsukishima?" asked Ginjo.

"No, but he's still a child," said Tsukishima.

"Whatever you say," said Ginjo.

Ginjo continues to walk until he hears Kuroi start to laugh loudly. He turns around and looks at the laughing boy.

"Why are you laughing? We used you and stole your Fullbring," said Ginjo.

"Did you believe my Fullbring was my only source of power? I have many ways to defeat you guys," said Kuroi.

' "Your shinigami and Hollow powers won't be strong enough to beat me now, so don't even try to fight," said Ginjo.

"No, you silly goose. You didn't notice it, did you? I didn't notice it at first either until I used my badge for the first time in days. My Fullbring has changed me, so thank you. Your training helped me become strong enough to send you to the Soul Society permanently," said Kuroi.

"What are you blabbering about?" asked Ginjo.

Kuroi turns his head and looks at the soul reaper standing behind him.

"I should show him the power of a captain of the Gotei 13, shouldn't I, Rukia?" asked Kuroi.

"That would be a good idea," said Rukia.

Kuroi pulls out his substitute soul reaper badge and taps it on his chest. His soul escapes his body, but it looks different. Black x tattoos lay on his wrist and chest and a neck guard is on his neck. Ginjo and Tsukishima are visibly shocked by the new form.

"Do you guys like my new threads? You're giving me mixed signals," said Kuroi.

"How is it possible?" asked Ginjo.

"I just told you. My Fullbring changed me. I didn't believe that I became so strong because of it, but I did all thanks to you," said Kuroi.

Kuroi takes off his captain kimono and ties it around his waist. He takes off his glasses and hands them to Rukia.

"Can you hold those? I don't want them to break," said Kuroi.

"Sure," said Rukia.

"You and your little soul reaper friend won't beat us," said Ginjo.

"Hey, idiot. They're not alone," said Renji.

Ginjo looks up and sees Renji, Toshiro, Byakuya, Ikkaku, and Kenpachi standing outside a Senkaimon.

"How did they get here?" asked Ginjo.

"I never trusted you, Ginjo, so I made sure to find out who you were. I went straight to Yamamoto's office after you gave your number and he told me all about the psychotic murderer known as Kugo Ginjo. He tasked me to be a mole in your operation. I pretended to act like I didn't know anything about you. I pretended that I just wanted to acquire a Fullbring. I pretended to not know that Tsukishima was your Robin just so that we could come get you today," said Kuroi.

"You're a liar, too. I guess we aren't that different," said Ginjo.

"Shut it, Ginjo. You hurt my friends and family to get my Fullbring. You should be focused on finding ways to not die because I won't be holding back. You will feel every inch of pain that I can inflict on a piece of scum like you. You hurt Uryu and Senna. You turned my friends against me. You're not making it out of here alive," said Kuroi.

"Do you know how many times I've heard something like that?" asked Ginjo.

"You've never heard it from someone as strong as me," said Kuroi.

"Come and take your best shot," said Ginjo.

"Rukia, you and everyone else can deal with the weaker ones. Ginjo's mine," said Kuroi.

"I'm on it, sir," said Rukia.

"Now, Ginjo. Time for your execution," said Kuroi.

Kuroi speed blitzes and nearly decapitates Ginjo, but he is barely able to dodge. The swing dissipates the clouds. Ginjo reaches the ground and looks up.

"That Jigoku Piasa was stronger than your usual ones, but it won't kill me, Kuroi!" exclaimed Ginjo.

Kuroi lands behind him.

"Dumbass, that wasn't a Jigoku Piasa. If it was, I would have spent a couple seconds charging up. That was just a swing of my sword," said Kuroi.

"What are you trying to say?" asked Ginjo.

"You're out of my league. Burn this world to ashes, Kurayami Nokiribi," said Kuroi.

Kuroi's Zanpakuto enters its Shikai state, but it looks different. His blade changes into a near pitch-black odachi blade. He then raises it over his head and black flame encircles it.

"If you want to see a Jigoku Piasa, here's one. Jigoku Piasa!" said Kuroi.

Kuroi launches the Jigoku Piasa and barely misses Ginjo. The Jigoku Piasa hits the mansion behind him and easily destroys it. Ginjo rockets into the sky and tries to escape, but Kuroi appears behind him and grabs him.

"Where are you going, old friend? I'm not done killing you yet," said Kuroi.

Kuroi throws Ginjo behind him and tries to hit him with another Jigoku Piasa, but he misses once again.

"I need to work on my aim," said Kuroi.

Instead of responding, Ginjo's spiritual pressure explodes as his body changes. His boy now resembles Kuroi's Fullbring. His hair has grown longer and his sword is now bigger.

"If I didn't steal your Fullbring, I would have been dead by now. Thanks for the gift," said Ginjo.

"You're welcome. Maybe I should give you an extra gift called death," said Kuroi.

"I don't need any more gifts," said Ginjo.

"Take one more. I insist," said Kuroi.

"Yukio is giving me a gift right now," said Ginjo.

A few seconds pass until Kuroi and Ginjo are encompassed by the black void. A few more seconds pass before the black void becomes a replica of the World of the Living.

"Why did Yukio recreate Karakura Town?" asked Kuroi.

"I thought that it would be a comfortable scenario for you to play in. Aren't you happy?" said Ginjo.

"We could've fought one on one in the real world. This is unnecessary," said Kuroi.

"If you think that this is unnecessary. I'll give you a free shot. I won't move or block it, so fire a full-powered Jigoku Piasa. You may be able to kill me. I don't know," said Ginjo.

"This seems like a trap, but I don't care. Here it comes," said Kuroi.

Kuroi charges up a Jigoku Piasa and launches it at Ginjo. Instead of tanking it, Ginjo slices the Jigoku Piasa in half before it can hit him.

"That could have done a lot of damage if it hit. My turn," said Ginjo.

"What are you talking about?" asked Kuroi.

"Jigoku Piasa!" exclaimed Ginjo.

Ginjo launches a Jigoku Piasa at Kuroi, surprising him. Instead of dodging, Kuroi tanks the attack but takes a little damage.

"How are you able to use Jigoku Piasas?" asked Kuroi.

"When I took your Fullbring, I must have also stolen some of your reiatsu. That means that I can use your Shikai abilities," said Ginjo.

"Even if you can use my abilities, you will still lose this fight," said Kuroi.

"Will I? I'll wipe the floor with you," said Ginjo.

Kuroi places his blade in front of him.

"I'm done playing games. Bankai!" said Kuroi.

Kuroi's spiritual pressure explodes and the replica of the World of the Living explodes as well. Once they reach the real world, the smoke clears and reveals Kuroi's new Bankai. White straps appear on his hand and lower arm. Black x-shaped straps appear in between his black flame shihakusho. His blade is now a blade that resembles a longsword that emanates black flame.

"Give up. This fight is over," said Kuroi.

"Is it? I haven't used my Bankai yet," said Ginjo.

"Even if you do, you will still lose. There's no reason to keep on fighting," said Kuroi.

"Don't you want to kill me?" asked Ginjo.

"You're too weak for someone like me to kill," said Kuroi.

"Bankai!" exclaimed Ginjo.

Ginjo's spiritual pressure explodes as he enters his Bankai state.

"Are you willing to kill me now?" asked Ginjo.

"Maybe. Let's finish this, Ginjo," said Kuroi.

"Are you not going to allow me to fight at full power with my Hollow powers?" asked Ginjo.

"I don't care about your Hollow powers. I'm done fighting you, so let's finish this," said Kuroi.

Kuroi rockets towards Ginjo and their blades clash in the night sky, causing a large shockwave. Kuroi jumps back and tries to strike Ginjo again, but he launches a cero from the tip of his sword. Kuroi blocks the cero with his hand and darts towards Ginjo. Ginjo tries to block the slash, but is too late and slashed across the chest. He falls towards the ground and lands face-first. Kuroi lands a few seconds later.

"Would you have ended up like me if you were in my position?" asked Ginjo.

"No, I wouldn't," said Kuroi.

"Why?" asked Ginjo.

"You're a vengeful bastard who manipulated kids and other people so you could get revenge on the Soul Society for not telling you the truth about the badge. You will never be able to redeem yourself in this lifetime, but when you end up in the Soul Society, maybe you can learn to not hate the Soul Society for spying on you," said Kuroi.

Before Kuroi can turn around and walk away, he senses Tsukishima appear behind him and grabs his blade.

"He was like a big brother to you wasn't he?" asked Kuroi.

"Move!" exclaimed Tsukishima.

"Relax. I won't let you not see him. I'm not a villain," said Kuroi.

Kuroi lets go of Tsukishima's blade and walks away as Tsukishima runs to Ginjo's dead body.

"You can't die, Ginjo!" exclaimed Tsukishima.

Kuroi takes one more solemn look at Tsukishima and Ginjo and walks away. He walks through the forest, intentionally avoiding any of the other soul reapers. He walks out of the forest and finds a street. He walks in the direction of his house until he senses a familiar spiritual pressure.

"Senna, what do you want?" asked Kuroi.

"I just wanted to thank you for dealing with that Tsukishima guy. He hurt me and you took him down for me. I can't believe how strong you are," said Senna.

"I don't deserve any praise. I just did my job," said Kuroi.

"But, you seem sad that you did what you did. Why is that?" asked Senna.

"Ginjo and Tsukishima were bad people. They hurt and manipulated people to get revenge, but I only feel sadness. I feel sad about how they allowed vengeance to cloud their judgments. I'm sad that they were never able to redeem themselves. I'm sad that they never learned what they did wrong," said Kuroi.

"They would have died by someone else's hands if not yours. They were dead men walking. They chose to be bad people because they refused to walk a path of being a good person and doing the right thing. They deserved it," said Senna.

"Maybe they did, maybe they didn't. I may never know unless I run into them in the Soul Society. I'll give them a little time. If they don't change, I'll deal with them," said Kuroi.

Senna walks towards Kuroi and he turns around. Instead of kissing him on the lips, she gives Kuroi a peck on the cheek.

"What was that for?" asked Kuroi.

"I know that our feelings aren't mutual, so I decided that this is as far as we go. I won't bother you anymore. I see that you need time to yourself, so I'll be going," said Senna.

Senna tries to walk away, but Kuroi grabs her hand.

"Don't go," said Kuroi.

"Why?" asked Senna.

"Will you walk with me? I need someone to talk the night away with," said Kuroi.

"I was going to take a walk myself. It's a beautiful night tonight," said Senna.

"Let's walk together and celebrate the end of Xcution and the birth of a new me," said Kuroi.

"So, it was the execution of Xcution?" asked Senna.

"You could say it. There's such irony in that statement," said Kuroi.

"I know right," said Senna.

Kuroi takes a look at the moon and smiles.

"Goodbye, Xcution and thank you for saving me, Ginjo," thought Kuroi.
