The process of selecting a cultivation technique wasn't a hassle. When I brought the book to the librarian to note, all she did was give me a nod and a kind smile of hers, before gesturing to tell me that I was allowed to leave.
'Well… I guess that makes things more easier for me.' I thought as I made my way out of the towering building, which looked like a giant chess piece that fit the top of a mountain perfectly.
The reason why I had such a pleasant reaction to the simpleness of the library, was because the service within was quite the convenient one. I didn't need to sign anything, nor talk or remember a certain thing. Perhaps I'll have to make payments or something to get another book in the future, however, I believe the library in this world would still be the most convenient one I had ever entered. Damn, I think this world might be way better than earth. Who knows though. With something good, there will always be something bad. So, let's not leave a review for this world yet, hehe.
Alright. So, my next destination is the mountain of fortune and opportunity. That's right… Every important mountain with an elder has its own unique name. The mountain that I am currently at for example, is the mountain of knowledge and education. I'm not too sure as to where all that education and knowledge is though… Now that I think about it. Why does the library looks so small from the inside, when it is literally a building that is a dozen times greater than that small space alone?! Strange… A mystery that I can only become aware of as time goes.
…
"What is up, Elder Xuan! I believe you owe me some money!"
"Hey! Where did all that shyness go all of a sudden? Such disrespect… And I do not owe you anything. Tch!"
Once the elder took notice of my presence, he replied to my greeting with a little bit of anger apparent in his voice, but I'm pretty sure that he's just joking around like I was. Hehehe… Right?
"Take it!" The elder threw a pouch with crystals aggressively on my chest, which hurt quite a bit. Maybe, maybe he wasn't really joking around…
"The amount of PP crystals should buy you enough foods and drinks for a week. So don't slack off, and practice your cultivation manual to be ready for a quest after the seven days. If you slack off, the consequences or your own…" The elder continued to talk to me, and with the warning that he gave me, he also gave me quite the terrifying glare. Yes… Yes it was terrifying.
"Okay, bye."
Even though the old man looked very intimidating, I still continued to talk to him in an informal way. With a bright smile, I waved my hand goodbye, as I made my way out of the mountain of fortune and opportunity.
"This kid…" The old man muttered, when I was a few distances away.
'Quite rude to talk behind someone's back, you know!' I wanted to tell the old man as I wasn't even that far away when he decided to say something about me, but luckily I didn't. No, actually I wasn't lucky, since I knew that I would have never said that. I still value my life after all, kekeke…
Now, since I have some money, I'll buy some damn water! I'm thirsty as f*ck right now, because we damn disciples are supposed to walk dozens of miles, just to get to an important place! Now that, is one of the first things I find very inconvenient of this world! Well… At least I'm not skipping leg day, right? Still though. Just because I am very thirsty right now, I have to go to the mountain of supplies and special needs.
"Damn… Looks like I'll have to walk another mile again" I muttered, as I stared at the translucent beam that seemed very far away from where I was.
…
So, here I am, eating some unknown piece of chicken that could probably fly when it was still alive. Yes, chicken soup was what I ordered, as that seems to be the cheapest with the most beneficial effects, and the one that I am the most familiar with. Chicken ginseng soup, cooked with a two hundred year old ginseng. From the description that I read on the menu, it should make cultivating PP energy much faster. Basically, if I'm not wrong, it mentioned that my kidneys work better for a few hours after eating it, and that my blood vessels also expands so I can have a better PP flow.
Honestly, when I read that alone, it seemed too ridiculous for me. Still, I believed in those words, since it seemed logical, and because I knew that I was no longer on earth. Hey, I mean like… Becoming an immortal with the help of a PP already sounded too ridiculous. So, why should I even be surprised by such puny effects of some food ingredient.
Oh my~ The food is really good, and I believe it really deserves such a price. Oh no… I think I have a boner after sucking the chicken bones. Hastily, I looked around me to see what everyone was doing, and wow… They were cultivating! I think… Well, that's a good thing, since it seems that I can just practice my cultivation manual here without having to rush back to my home. I really don't want to be walking so far after having such a mighty meal…
Since the restaurant only had tables and no chair, it was quite the convenience for everyone to absorb the nutritions within their meal. Quite a thoughtful design of this restaurant, I have to say. Or maybe they're just cheap… There's also the chance that they incorporated Japanese culture or something. I'm not too sure… At least the place suited the cultivation atmosphere.
A very calm atmosphere, wind softly blowing inside the open windowed restaurants, people sitting in a lotus position to meditate…
Amazing…
