Side mission

"Kidnapping?! I simply brought you here with me!" The girl finally realized what she did wrong, I think. There was also the chance that she was trying to not cause a misunderstanding. I'm not too sure…

Well… It was better for me to explain the reason why it is a kidnapping, so yeah, I decided to do that, since the girl was finally talking.

"Without my or an elder's permission, you took me away…" I spoke my first words, as I stared at the girl with a bit of hatred on my face.

With that said, I started explaining…

"I'd say, you're lucky that the elders don't become suspicious in the first few hours that I'm not seen within the sect. I'm still an outer disciple, so you should know that I can't randomly go out of the sect without a reason… You better bring me back." Was what I told her.

While I spoke those words, I made sure to look very cool and smart of course. Body language is important after all. Kekeke…

"Hehe… You said a few hours, right? Don't worry. After this, you'll see that I'm not kidnapping anyone. I just want to know if your worthy for the information that I am planning to give to you." The girl finally gave me a clue as to why I was there in the first place.

Even with her reassuring me that there was a purpose for me being there with her, I still hated for what she did, since I wanted to go back to go on missions. After all, what could be more important than XP…

'Gasp!' I realized that there was indeed something that could actually be more important than XP.

'Perhaps… A side quest! If it's that, I could give up a few hours of my time… Fighting her can also progress that one quest of mine… Not bad… I'll have to win though.' I calculated the pros inside my mind, and at the same time while I was doing that, I made sure to glare at the hooded girl.

"Fine." After thinking about it, I gave the hooded girl an answer.

I wasn't done after such a simple answer however.

"But under one condition." I made sure to add.

"What?" The girl asked, showing me that she was open for suggestions.

"Make it a quest." I stated, but got cut off by a confused "Huh?" when I was about to explain what I meant with those words of mine.

"For secret information, I have to fight you. And as a bonus reward, some PP crystals."

"Hmm… I see. I guess I could give you a few of my crystals. That is if you win, of course."

"Deal." I quickly agreed with a smirk apparent on my face.

In order to receive insider information from the hood of assassins, host has to go on a spar with one of the assassins to prove his worth in being able to have a connection with the assassins. Are you brave enough to have the hood of assassins on your side?

'Haha! As I thought! There are indeed side missions!'

'Yes!' I thought of the word yes while staring at the "Yes/No" prompt, in order to accept the side mission.

Perhaps it was coincidence, but the moment I accepted the mission, the hooded girl began her attack. I guess she really is an assassin, since she didn't give me the opportunity to attack first. Usually, a challenger, especially if it's a cultivator, he or she would always ask their opponent to attack first, since they are the one who initiated the challenge It was a way of honor and respect I believe. Sadly, assassins don't really have honor, so I was bound to fight the girl without any special advantages by my side.

'I guess the both of us are going to have a dirty match then...' *Sigh*

Although the sound wasn't really there, I was able to faintly hear the wind getting cut whilst the girl swung one of her arms.

'Needles!'

I think it was because of my level, because I was actually able to see the needles that were shorter than a thumb. One of the needles was heading for my forehead, and two for my neck. How glad I was for the fact that she was aiming for my critical spots. The critical spots are a small hit box technically, which meant that those needles would have a hard time hitting their target, since it's easy for me to dodge.

My reaction was quick, and as I bended my body backwards, I saw how the three needles made their way right above me. I was proud of myself honestly, however, I was still humble enough to know that the needle attack wasn't the end, and I also knew how to avoid the ending of my life. With my decent skills in martial arts and my fit body, I jumped upwards while also doing a three sixty rotation of my body, in order to land on my right. I basically jumped upwards, and did a three sixty spinning kick upwards in the air, before landing.

"Phew! Looks like I've avoided another set of needles." I muttered before giving the hooded girl another smirk.

"You know… It's not that nice to fight a weaponless person with weapons."

"You have a strong physique. Shut up." The girl replied bluntly.

Right after the girl told me to shut up, she disappeared at an instant. She was using that same type of vanishing or teleportation skill of hers, which I assumed was her only supernatural skill. I mean like… That's the only skills she'd been showing the entire time. Perhaps she has a trump card… If that's so, I knew for a fact that she was not going to use it in a spar, unless she is actually stupid.

'I can feel it in my front now… The lucky tingle.'

The moment I felt the same uncomfortable feeling that I had felt on my back earlier, I became alert for an attack in the front. I was ready to evade and counter!

*Bam*

A straight jab came right towards her face, the moment she showed herself in front of me. She was sent flying back a few meters as a result, and her landing was quite harsh as well. One thing was for sure though…

'I definitely heard her nose breaking! Haha! Revenge has been served!'

"Hey, are you okay?" I asked the girl when I was close enough to her.

"Huh?" I uttered not too long after asking the girl a question

All of a sudden, I felt a slight pain on my neck, and soon, my vision started to become blurry. Within a few seconds, my body dropped to the floor as I fell unconscious. The last thing I saw, was the girl removing her hood, as she approached me with a happy and proud smile. Her nose seemed kind of fine as well…

'Phew… I guess she isn't mad at me for breaking her nose.' Was my last thought, before I fully passed out.
