Just kidding, she doesn't have a face. But, surely, based on the way she said her words, I was definitely able to tell that her heart was crafting a very scheming ploy.

The ploy is a very simple one I believe. Simple, but very scheming nonetheless.

What I'm guessing, is that she wants to see how far I can go with my shapeshifting abilities. She probably wants me to be some kind of misfit between both human and demon race, and wants to see the consequences of it.

Which side I'll end up going, how I will do things, and if I can avoid getting too corrupted.

Her crystals will probably be full of demonic energy. That's another element of entertainment for her I guess...

She won't be laughing because of an unfortunate death of mine though, which is probably also not her plan. Instead, she will have quite a great story to watch develop. The best thing about it, for her, is that she will be a part of the starter that builds up to the climax. It's like her having her name in the credit scenes of a movie...

What a way to entertain herself… A great idea though, not going to lie.

I didn't want to be too obvious on the request of course, hence why, I didn't add any more specific demands. Just a few important demands within the sentence of mine, and that's enough to make me rich.

Such thoughts swarmed inside my mind, as I was simply afraid of my brilliant plan going to waste. Of course, I made sure to hide the fear away from my face. Because, even if there was a chance of her knowing about my plans, there was also a chance that she doesn't. Me making it obvious with my expression would simply increase the chances of her knowing, which I absolutely did not want.

That's why, I remained as arrogant as ever.

By overlapping my fear with my arrogant expression, which is a real one, I would be able to fool her, because the arrogant expression of mine is a genuine one.

Why is it a genuine one?

Well, because I knew that I'll get all of my deserved wealth and power after the goddess accepts my offer.

That's why the arrogance, the greedy, and the proud look on my face. Simply, because I was also proud of my plan.

The goddess of course, would probably only assume that I've been arrogant the whole time because I'm a dumb mortal that thinks he's clever in doing business.
