"Interesting… So, it all just became water, because I absorbed the demonic energy?" I asked Laili, curious and excited about the free XP that the forest might give me.

"Yes."

"Does this mean… The entire place is filled with demonic energy?!"

I was surprised and excited about such a discovery. Obviously, this place is a haven of XP to me, which you can tell from the way I look so excited at the moment. If you look carefully, you would see that I was like a playful kid in some amusement park.

Joy!

Excitement!

"Yes" Another simple reply from our dearest Laili.

"Then… Doesn't this mean that the grass is filled with a lot of demonic energy? Like, my foot isn't turning it into normal grass… Or is it because my foot is covered? Hmm…"

Like the scientist slash modern human that I am, I began to ask a multitude of questions about the nature of the dark forest. Since the forest isn't a harmful place to me, I obviously wanted to know more about its depths and all of its hidden benefits.

Sigh…

If only I could bring Xiayen with me. It would be such a fun trip in this place, if that was possible…

"Your goal is to stay within this forest for a week. To not go crazy, but to be able to become one with this forest instead."

In the end, Laili didn't even answer one question of mine. She straight up went to tell me what my purpose in this place is, and disappeared the instant after warning me about the consequences of failing.

"She left already. At this point I'm already used to it." I muttered, displeased about the way Laili would often treat me.

"She's quite the jerk honestly…"

"Tch!" I spat out some saliva.

Right after, I decided to take a stroll in the unfamiliar, gloomy, and beautiful forest. It's a beautiful forest if I count the free XP, right? What Laili said doesn't apply to me too, right?

I mean… I shouldn't really go crazy. I am in perfect control of the corrupted and the natural after all, thanks to my amazing skills…

Right?

Let's hope so…

After walking for more than a minute, I finally stopped pondering, and decided that it was time to test the waters. Yep, the actual waters.

That's right! I'm going to dive inside the least threatening looking pond. A very small pond in fact, which I've noticed after dipping in some dried branch, is quite shallow.

As I stepped in, the water didn't even reach my knees. It was that shallow. One thing however, is that the quantity of the demonic energy within the water, is great. Of course, it's not as great as that of the vegetation or soil, however, it certainly is a contrast to the water from the small stream that I had passed by earlier. When I scoop some of the water with my palm, the corrupted water takes like five minutes to become uncorrupted.

Indeed, one thing I've noticed and theorized, is that a stronger corrupted being can steal the powers of a weaker corrupted being. This could mean that people like Leslie could become a hundred percent human, as long as there is a demon that is powerful enough, and as long as that demon only consumes that demonic energy.

That is only a theory of course. And, what demon would be so kind to fulfill the request of another?

If Leslie really wants to become human though, I guess I can help her if possible…

It's a very difficult subject, so I guess I can only guess now.

I only have a week at this free XP zone. I can't waste my time on making assumptions…

Since I can easily modify my strength, I must collect as much power as possible. The problem of not being able to hide my abilities is not a problem to me, after all…

Why would I want to hide my abilities?

I don't know…

There are multiple good reasons though…

One being that I am an alien to this world, and that my abilities are very strange and different compared to others, because I am in fact, an alien to this world.

The most important ability, that is my ability to shapeshift. Yeah… that is uncommon, because it basically breaks the rules of this world. If I'm not wrong, the only reason why it's possible for me to do that, is because I'm neither a male or a female of this world. That's why, I can change into any of them, because I'm not them in the first place.

Could it be that I have some kind of legendary PP of origin?!

Gasp!!

Maybe, human's of earth are the creature of origin! The base, which can evolve into anything!

Right! Humans of earth are the creation of evolution! Not plants! Maybe that's why it's possible for the system to generate me such an ability within this world!

"It's time to try this out." I escaped my distraction again, and this time, I put my utmost focus on what I wanted to do.

"Absorb." I muttered as I placed my focus onto the sensation of demonic energy. Just like PP energy, I then started to absorb the demonic energy into my balls.
