One Chaos crystal

"Oh, my bad. Here, take these PP crystals. They should be able to help, right? I offered the dying Laili some PP crystals, since that should be able to help her restore her life force. It will, right?

"You really are an idi- Never mind. You see… If it was that easy, I would've told you to get me some PP crystals instead of a teleporting talisman. Sigh… The rate of recovering my PP energy will lose to the rate of the damage that the demonic energy does. Get it?"

"I see… What about this crystal then?" I decided to pull out the crystal that I stole from Artia.

Damn, it seems that Artia had been watching me the entire time, through Laili.

I had guessed it already, but still decided to take the risk nonetheless. After all, the risk wasn't as bad as the risk of losing the chance to gain free XP. I mean, I've gained nine levels after only ten or twenty minutes! That's like half a day of True dual cultivation, or three days of resource cultivation, or two weeks of no resource cultivation!

Well, I don't really know how long no resource cultivation takes of course, since I've never really tried it…

But, you do understand what I mean, right? Leaving this place is like ignoring a good pussey for a hole in soil!

Who would be crazy to go for a hole in soil?!

Anyway, I removed my one Chaos crystal out of my wallet, just like I would remove something out of my storage ring. Ha! Works like a charm every time! People always get fooled by this trick of mine, or maybe, a system is just something that wouldn't randomly pop up inside their mind.

Yeah, maybe I'm just dumb…

When I held the Chaos crystal in my hand, my surroundings let out a loud and high pitched sound of panic and fear, all so sudden. The demonic energy within the short radius of where I was standing, had disappeared… But, it's not that it just vanished. Instead, it was distancing itself from the Chaos crystal, as if the crystal was some kind of plague to it.

"Oh… I guess it should work." I uttered again, right after I saw the effects of the Chaos crystal.

"What's that?" Laili asked, intrigued about the crystal that looked similar to a PP crystal. The difference however, is that it was both white and black. Specifically, and honestly, it looks like white and black goo that are magically flailing within a tiny crystal shaped glass-bottle.

"Something that the goddess gave me not too long ago. It's corrupted energy that you can use for cultivation. Completely safe though. Trust me." I replied to Laili's question with a big smile. As to why I was smiling. I don't know…

I think I was smiling because I was doing somethiing very sneaky. You see, right before I mentioned the false fact about the goddess being the one to give me the crystal, I made sure to steal another crystal from the goddess's collection.

It's been almost one hour since I last contacted her, so, she should have had at least five, if she wasn't lazy in the process of producing the crystals, of course…

You see… Since she's not really omnipotent, and more of a higher being, she was probably too distracted, and not capable of multitasking. While I was talking to Laili, she was probably staring deeply at my face, waiting for me to answer her call. It is only after I mentioned the fact about the origin of the crystal, when she finally looked away from my handsome face.

That… That is when she notices that she only has four crystals.

Of course, it is only a guess of mine, as I don't have the knowledge about the extend of her abilities. Maybe she's actually more than just a higher being, and maybe I've just embarrassed myself. I have an excuse if things do end up like that though…

"Here, take it. It should free you from the annoying demonic energy, and you should be able to recover your life force with it." I continued to talk to Laili with the bright smile of mine.

Since my words were very convincing, Laili accepted my gift, and started to absorb and cultivate the Chaos energy right after.

While she did that, I quickly told her about the goddess's pestering calls, since I didn't want to scare or confuse her after answering the calls.

"Excuse me. I think my sponsor wants to complain or something. Maybe I wasn't allowed to give you the crystal, hehe… But do continue though." I acted like a big brother that would keep his smile after covering for his little sister.

Hehehe… Of course, this is all a ploy necessary to bring Laili by my side.

Just kidding. That's just how I naturally am. Very kind hearted and lovely!

"Uh-uhm! Artia! What's wrong, my most favorite goddess?" I asked, right after calling her name, which is needed to allow the connection between us.

"You!! Why are you acting like that?" Upon seeing how I was acting, the goddess became a bit suspicious of me. Of course, she probably wasn't fully certain. Just suspicious.

This means that she's just a higher being…

Kekeke…

"Acting? Am I not always this nice? Haha, just kidding. I'm just worried that your angry about the fact that I gave my sister a Chaos crystal." Was my reply to Artia's question. I was quick to make it off as a joke, because if she did answer my sarcastic question, I might have gotten myself into deep trouble.

She'd probably be like, "You!! Nice?! It's you who stole it, isn't it?!"

Yeah… It would be very hard for me to continue my lies after she spouts such words, simply because of how angry she would be at me.
