Awakened: Evolving to Godhood

Several minutes later, after they purchased and split the magic crystals among themselves, the four teenagers split up once they reached in front of the boy's and girl's dormitories, heading towards their assigned living quarters.

Theo Rose and Elliot Vincent entered into their room, breathing calmly to calm their excitement which was resulted from the prospect of being able to create a magic matrix.

With the magic crystals in their hand, they could finally engrave magic matrices on their bodies, something they had been dying to do for some time.

The two sat on their respective beds before gripping a magic crystal in one of their hand and pulling out the sheet instructor Nina Olsen has given them with the other, and then they performed the hand signs mentioned in it in the same order shown in the sheet.

A while later, the magic crystal released dim blue lights that floated and danced in the air before rushing straight towards them, seeping into their bodies, entering the depth of their beings.

They felt a strange power flow through his body, as if something hot was coursing through their veins.

This burning sensation only existed for some moment, and immediately after, a chilling sensation burst forth from the core of their bodies, spreading outwards and permeating every inch and corner of their bodies, trying to arouse a magic unique to them.

Next, Theo Rose and Elliot saw the energy crystal decreasing rapidly, converting into a huge wave of energy that entered their bodies, making them feel the same sensation once again, and it was only a few minutes later that they felt the flow of energy gathering on the back of their left and right hand respectively, slowly forming into a cloudy symbol for Theo and a sunny symbol for Elliot.

They said with lips slightly parted open to reveal their teeth, a look of surprise on their face as they were stunned to see this symbol that had suddenly appeared on their hand.

Just as Elliot turned to look at it, a notification of his system popped up in his mind.

Elliot's eyes widened in shock and horror as he read through the notifications that have popped up in his mind, and he couldn't help but feel bad about the Magic Association at the end of it.

He was certain that the association was behind this curse, forcing the students to not spread the information about the magic matrix to outsiders.

Furthermore, if it weren't for the fact that his artifact could detect threats and curses hidden in the process of creating a magic matrix, he might not have discovered the danger involved.

"Is there nothing I can do against it?" Elliot asked in his mind, wondering whether or not Hope has a solution to it.

Elliot's eyes brightened in surprise as he read through the new notification that has popped in his mind and found out that he could break free from the curse by just using one-fifth of his total amount of the essence of life.

After all, he will not be a slave to anyone's will!

Freedom of speech was the most important thing to him and it came before anything else.

The curse restricted his freedom of speech albeit only by a bit, but it was still stepping on his freedom.

Something he didn't like and never would.

"Yes, please," Elliot said in his mind, telling Hope to utilize 100 units of the essence of life to set him free from the curse that would restrict his freedom of speech and seal all of his power if he ever dares to tell another even if it is himself in the mirror about the way to create a magic matrix.

As the last bit of the Sun symbol got engraved on his right hand, completing the symbol, a wave of information entered Elliot's consciousness. It was a detailed description of the power of his magic matrix and instructions on what to do to activate it.
