Between two storms

Going down the stairs Melissa could see her dear friend. Sonya's smile always brightened Melissa's life. It had been like this since the first day they met. "Hi girl", Melissa said extending her arms to receive Sonya in a warm hug. "Long time no see" she finished her greeting.


"Yes, I apologize for no contacting you sooner, but I've been really busy with all the weeding preparations". Said Sonya apologetically while following Melissa into the living room. And sitting down on the brown and gold couch.


Between Sonya smiles Melissa could see a hint of sadness, and without any hesitation Melissa asked, "What's wrong?" If there was one person that Sonya couldn't hide anything from that was Melissa. Sonya once said that she had this mom's sixth sense that picked up every single one of Sonya's emotions like a radar. "What do you mean what's wrong?" said Sonia smiling even wider trying to hide her feelings.
