Between two storms

Back at the mansion Flavio and Dean received Melissa followed by Blaze. as both of them could see how tired she looked.

"You haven't gotten any sleep?" Flavio said more a statement than a question. His brows furrow as he looked at Melissa, "you look tired".

And she was, but not because her body was tired, or because her mind was. It was because of both, maybe. But the underlining was that she was tired of this never-ending task, these never-ending battles. Melissa was tired of having enemies left and right and tired of having to deal with all this.

But what was her goal at the end? only one goal: To keep the peace between the species. To bring back the peace they needed. So, she herself can have at least the taste of freedom, and easiness that someday she could turn around and not having to deal with more deaths.
