Welcome To The Company

Before this chapter kicks off, just wanted to first start off by saying that I have decided to just make this story a NON-harem. Cayde will only be getting a single love interest, and you all can probably guess who considering the theme of this story.

"Calm down, you two."

Cayde rolled his eyes as both Plusle and Minun were hanging on the door while looking out of the window for the limousine, their excited and curious eyes glancing at all the surroundings that they were quickly passing by during the drive.

They were currently on their way to the production company building that Palermo owned, which shouldn't be too long now that they were to arrive. After having caught both Plusle and Minun, Cayde had only one more spare pokeball to his name.

Though, he can definitely buy more later on if needed as he had actually earned a whole lot more than he had expected when he street performed before all that Pokemon Showcase shenanigans happened. He should be fine for the time being.

The place in which the company was located was in Lumiose City, which, to Cayde's knowledge, was the biggest city here in the Kalos region. He was actually intending to go there anyway since it was the closest city to the previous place, so this trip was quite fortunate.

"So, what exactly is this offer you had for me?" Cayde decided to ask as he looked at Palermo, letting both of the electric types to continue observing the outside. "You said you wanted me to have some kind of partnership with your company or something."

"Indeed." Palermo smiled as she took off her glasses. She had a gentle and sincere smile on her face, which not many people have actually seen. "With your talents, I believe that true greatness awaits you. I would like to partner with you to help you in that, to bring forth that talent and show the world. Call it my gut, but I believe you are someone that can make a great change in the entertainment industry."

Cayde just remained calm and stoic as she explained this, he had already heard many things similar to this in the past. Countless companies scouted him back in his old world, though they were all mainly just looking for the profit that they would gain.

Considering that it was Cayde, every company knew the benefits and profit they could make since he was one of, if not, the greatest idol to have ever existed. The talent agency that he did work for was one that didn't look into him for profit, only to let him take center stage and display his talents to the world.

However, whether or not the company that Palermo here owns was the same was yet to be seen. But, by looking at Palermo right now, Cayde could see that she truly did seem to be sincere when saying that she wants the world to know of his talents.

"This would come with a lot of benefits for you. Such as having our support when it comes to expenses for things like equipment and more, along with even being possibly featured in movies and maybe even a movie of your own."

While the benefits that were just stated were indeed enticing, that wasn't what Cayde was focusing more on. As long as the company wasn't one that was just looking at him for profit, then that was all good. He wouldn't ever work for a money-hungry company.

"I'll take a look at your company first then make my decision."

"That's understandable. I'm sure you won't be disappointed." Palermo nodded her head in understanding as she closed her eyes. Cayde looked down to see both Minun and Plusle looking up at him with bright smiles, causing him to smile himself as he patted both their heads.

Aside from all the company business, he had actually been thinking about how he could implement both Minun and Plusle into his performances. They both obviously loved to dance and were both energetic, as well as being motivated after seeing him perform before.

He had many ideas as of right now as both of them were electric types, so they could be very flashy on the stage. He also considered the fact that they were both pokemon that were reminiscent of cheerleaders, so they could be background dancers or partner dancers with him.

So many possibilities.

It took around two hours to arrive at Lumiose City, and they immediately headed towards the company building. Which they soon arrived, and the place was revealed to be a massive skyscraper reaching high into the sky, reaching higher than most of the other tall buildings.

The building was very hard to miss as well as there was literally a massive letter 'P' on the front of the building, and that letter obviously stood for 'Palermo'. Not a big mystery there. It also appeared to be quite crowded as the entire area out the front had all kinds of people standing around.

Most of them looked to be perhaps three or two years younger than himself, along with a few that were older than him and more. Judging by their attire and the fact that many of them had pokemon walking alongside them, they might be performers who took courses here at the company.

"Isn't that...?"

"Yeah, It's Palermo!"

"Who's that with her?"

"Did she get another personal mentee, like how she did with Aria?!"

"Didn't you guys see yet? He's all over the internet now!"

Many different comments could be heard by the trainers, along with a number of passing by civilians Cayde followed Palermo towards the building. Minun and Plusle quickly followed after Cayde and stuck by him, a bit overwhelmed by the huge crowds of people.

There were even reporters here at the company entrance itself as many of them tried to get answers from Palermo. Unfortunately, some of them even went to Cayde and began asking him questions as well. No doubt they saw his performance in person or on the web.

They didn't give the reporters any words as a number of security members quickly arrived and held back the reporters, allowing safe passage for them. This didn't really stop the reporters from trying to yell out their questions, though they just ignored them in the end.

"I assume that all those trainers outside are here for lessons?"

"That's correct. You've probably noticed, most of them were just starting trainers and have decided to come here instead of going on their own journeys." Palermo explained as she took off her glasses. "The company acts a bit like a school for performers. They are assigned to different classes with a mentor to teach each one. There are also advanced classes for those that are already experienced, along with some that are here to practice on their own after being taught everything they need to know."

"I see." Cayde nodded in understanding to this. From what he heard, it would also seem that trainers here start much later compared to the games, probably from around fourteen or fifteen years of age instead of ten.

Palermo did say that most of them were starting trainers, and the youngest he saw out there were probably fourteen. This made much sense to him as ten just seemed unrealistic, you couldn't really trust them that much to survive out there in the wild on their own. By the age of fourteen, they should have matured enough to take care of themselves to some degree.

The group walked through the building before arriving at an elevator, which Palermo had pressed the button to call down as it arrived soon after. After having stepped in, the doors closed and the lift began raising up fast and smoothly.

"We'll be arriving at the training facilities first, then we'll continue touring the other main parts of the building." Palermo explained as Cayde nodded his head. He was quite curious to see just what kind of training they did here at the company, and what it was like compared to his regular training routine.

He had to make sure he was fit, being a singer and dancer was incredibly tiring and you needed the stamina to keep going. He did exercises in the gym for around two or three hours each day and went for twenty kilometer runs each day, ten in the morning and ten in the afternoon.

The concerts that he performed usually lasted for quite a long time, so making sure he had plenty of stamina was a vital point. He couldn't just risk collapsing on the stage due to exhausting, which was a bit ironic considering that was what happened not too long ago...

"Here we are."

"Plusle, Minun. Don't stray off, I don't want you getting lost." Cayde made sure to tell the two electric types, who both nodded their heads and saluted. The elevator doors then opened up as the floor they had arrived at soon revealed itself.

Walking in, Cayde looked around to see that they were now walking through a hallway with transparent walls to allow people to see into the rooms. The different rooms varied depending on what their specified uses were, some were tailored towards exercising and had gym equipment.

Another couple of rooms were just for things like stretching and probably some yoga, which can be helpful in improving strength, balance and flexibility for your body. Finally, there were some basic dance practice rooms with big wall mirrors and more.

The training facilities were quite full as each room had a minimum of three or more people, though it did depend on what kind of room it was. Cayde nodded his head at the sight, it seemed that the company knew what future performers would need.

He hadn't seen the rest of the company yet, but it was definitely looking good so far.

The tour soon finished up with Cayde being taken personally by Palermo to areas such as where the movies and such are edited, where performers are being taught in classes, along with other important parts within the company.

During the tour, they obviously got many stares from the other people, especially that of the male and female performers and coordinators. Obviously, since Palermo is a famous producer and more, and that they had seen Cayde due to online sources.

Now, they had finally arrived at the very top of the company building, which was none other than Palermo's office. It did make sense for the owner of the company's office to be situated at the very top floor of the building.

During the tour, Cayde made sure to take note of the different performers they had walked by. The ones that were inexperienced were very easily identifiable in Cayde's eyes, and the more experienced were also picked out of the bunch.

The company no doubt knew just what they needed to do to help its performers prosper and improve, though there is only so much one can get help. There are some things that can only truly be learned through experience. Afterall, the best teacher one can have is life itself.

"Have you made your decision? Are you willing to work with us?" Palermo asked with curiosity and hope as she sat down at her desk. Cayde took a seat on one of the two chairs set up in front of said desk, with Plusle and Minun taking the other one together.

"Well, after seeing everything here at your company..." Cayde kept a flat expression as he closed his eyes, Palermo looking at him expectantly without blinking as she waited for him to continue. Which he soon did as he opened his eyes back up and smiled. "How can I say no? You got a deal."

"Perfect! I am very much looking forward to working with you, and seeing just how much the world will be affect by your talents." Palermo smiled as she happily took out a piece of paper and placed it on the desk, pushing it gently over to Cayde. "I'll need you to fill all this out, then the deal is sealed."

'Did she prepare this beforehand...?' Cayde sweatdropped as he picked up the piece of paper. Upon looking through it quickly, it just asked him basic information such as his home town, region, name, age and more. Nothing insanely personal, just the basic stuff needed for a contract.

Taking hold of one of the pens in the pen holder on Palermo's desk, he began filling in everything calmly. To finish the contract off, he needed to place his signature at the bottom right of the page. After doing so, he placed the pen back before holding the signed paper back to Palermo.

"The deal is sealed now, welcome to the company, Cayde." Palermo smiled as she held her hand towards him. Cayde smiled and nodded his head before accepting the gesture, reaching forwards and firmly shaking her hand. "We look forward to working with you."

"Indeed, same here."
