Chapter 15 Jealousy

Chapter 15 Jealousy

"You should put it in your mind that you will both be working under me, not her, so you ice woman shouldn't try to butter her up." Damien said as his gaze rested upon Itetia while they exited the building.

She was currently looking at Dark with little stars in her eyes.

"He is right but I live where you are going to work and so will you you." Said Dark.

Itetia nodded at her words and followed behind her happily still ignoring Damien.

"She thinks that by sucking up to the goddess she can be let off? Hmph!" Lino said, dissatisfied at Itetia's behavior.

Currently, Dark was walking in front with Itetia right behind by one step while Lino was walking side by side with Damien.

"By the way, Lino, why did you cone to Pantheon?" Asked Damien.

"The universe was boring and I came to search for you, the only interesting thing to me." She answered.

"Am not a thing! Why didn't you stay there? You are going to cause me massive headaches." He lamented and she giggled.

Dark, who was in front occasionally stole glances behind and was dissatisfied upon seeing Damien getting along with Lino. Her expression kept becoming more darker as Lino giggled.

'That big boobed bimbo is getting on my nerves. How come she met him first? I don't want to stay with them but I have to in case she makes a move on him and wins his affection.' She thought as a determined glint formed in her black eyes.

"By the way, Damien! How did you lose your hair?" Link asked curiously.

"A certain little girl did it." He answered.

"Among all the people I have met, you are certainly the only one to call her a little girl." Dark said from in front as she turned her head to stare at him.

"To me it seems that way. She is like a teenager." He answered.

"I suppose you're right." She agreed.

Lino and Itetia looked at each other and then shook their heads as they didn't understand what these two were talking about.

After that, they sped up as they headed towards the center of the city. Damien and Dark had moved a little further from center of the city.

Even when wearing skirts and dresses, Damien was amazed by how women could move that fast, especially Lino, who was in a body hugging mini skirt.

"Hey Lino! How can you move so fast in such a short skirt? Aren't you afraid of it tearing?" Damien asked.

"It's a secret." She playfully answered as she stuck out her little tongue.

After a time, they reached the central plaza containing the golden monolithic pillar.

Lino and Itetia had long had their mouths dropping to the ground upon the realisation that they were going to work for the god queen.

Their faces had flushed with excitement.

The four of them stepped into the formation upon which light enveloped them and they vanished.

They reappeared on top of another formation on the edge of the platform.

The yellow hot sunlight which had been uncomfortable down on the ground had been replaced by a gentle reddish orange glow reminiscent of dawn.

A breeze whipped up and ruffled their hair while Damien felt a chill atop his head.

'Changes in temperature can be registered by my bald head. I need to get my hair back.' He thought as he passed his hand through his bald head.

"Let's head to the palace." Damien said as he led the way.

Lino and Itetia looked around at the golden architecture and were amazed. They couldn't detect any inkling of strings on them.

"Don't try to do what can't be done. Unless you reach the level if the creator, you will never be able to view it at the string level no matter how many times you magnify it with your vision." Damien spoke when he saw the two women's eyes had brightened up like torches as they looked around.

"Am going back to my residence. Bye!" Dark said as she took path leading to one of the houses at the back.

"Okay, you two are heading to the palace with me." Damien said as he picked up his pace and the two followed behind him.

Due to the place being dull, they soon lost interest in looking around.

They arrived at the magnificent palace gates. They had seen them from afar since the platform was perfectly even, but standing in front of them gave them another feeling entirely. They were ten meters tall just like the wall they were attached to.

Damien pushed them open and awakened the two dazed women who proceeded to follow him in.

They climbed the steps and stepped into the hall. A golden throne burning with golden flames could be seen at the end of the hall and it was above a set of steps in a pyramid like form. The other sides of the steps could vaguely be seen even from afar.

A golden haired woman was currently lying on it with her gaze aimed at the trio, specifically Damien.

A myraid expressions passed through his face in an instant before he took a deep breath and proceeded to walk in front as he led the two towards the throne.

The two women followed behind him as a fanatical atmosphere formed between them.

Lino was staring atop at the figure on the throne with excitement in her eyes while Itetia had lowered her head in respect.

"Impudent!!! Why aren't you lowering your head, bitch? Am higher being and respect is what you ought to give I, perfection incarnate even among higher beings." Shouted Phoenix atop her throne as a tyrannical pressure assaulted Lino forcibly causing her to crumble to her knees without resistance.

Her knee caps shattered the moment her knees hit the floor and blood came out, so did pieces of bone.

"Aaaaaaaaah!!!" Lino cried out in pain as her face twisted savagely.

A bewildered Damien appeared in front of her and asked," what is the meaning of this your majesty!?"

"Am disciplining her for disrespecting me. Do you have a problem with it?" Phoenix asked as flames lit up in her eyes.

'How can I tolerate some bitch with a bigger bust that mine? I only barely tolerate Dark because of our relations, but some unknown bitch suddenly parades those things in front of me?' She thought as the flames got brighter and the pressure upon Lino increased.

Lino's entire body fell parallel to the ground and the crackling if her bones could be heard. They were straining and those which couldn't handle the pressure were breaking. Her large mounds were restricting her from breathing. They were squished on the golden floor making her lungs feel stuffy.

Itetia had become so terrified that her face had turned pale. Her lowered head had lowered even further and she didn't dare move a muscle or release any kind of sound as the enraged god queen might turn her attention to her.

Feeble sounds were all Lino could make as multiple organs had ruptured and bones had splintered to pieces. Blood had soaked her clothes and even her white shirt had turned blood red.

"Little girl, stop throwing your tantrum. I might die but I won't allow you to bully a friend." A calm voice came from Damien's mouth as blood drops appeared at his skin through his pores.

They merged and formed a sphere around him. It also enclosed Lino within it. He was helping her to barely keep her life by infusing her body with his blood.

Since the pressure was affecting only Lino, the blood sphere wasn't affected.

Damien's red eyes were currently glaring at the god queen.

His face showed no trace of expression but it seemed like the calm before the storm.

Phoenix, who had been lying down, lowered her bare feet onto the golden floor and sat up straight on the left side of the throne with her left hand resting on the armrest.

"Are you defending some girl when you also saw that she was utterly disrespecting me?" She asked as her tone got a deeper more dangerous quality to it.

"She was admiring you." Damien said as his blood red eyes narrowed. He took off his glasses and tucked them in his chest pocket.

Even with blood surrounding him, Phoenix could see through it.

"I will quit being the manager of this place if she dies." He threatened.

Phoenix, who had been mired in rage widened her eyes and withdrew the pressure she was putting on Lino.

Her rage had abruptly vanished that Damien was caught off guard. He eventually steadied himself and absorbed the blood back into his body.

Itetia, who had been tense all this time collapsed onto the floor. Her dress was soaked in her sweat and she could feel her undergarments had also turned wet.

"You should go band clean yourself up. Go to Dark's residence." Damien suggested when he smelt something foul.

His attention shifted to Lino who had long fainted. He had moved her blood back into her body and helped her regenerate and reconnect the organs and bones in her body.

His blood divinity had such an effect, though it was still weaker than Phoenix's nirvana.

"All of you, leave my sight." Phoenix ordered as she slumped back into the throne. She felt weakness overcome her as she mulled over what she had done.

'Once again jealousy overtook me. What if I had killed her.' She was so caught up in her thoughts that she didn't register them leaving the palace.

Her eyes looked dead as they stared upwards.
