Chapter 45 Moon Queen
Ben, who had been given the cocktail, spent sometime staring at the rotating moon in the whirlpool.
"Mr. Okoye, why do you think I continue to stay in the prime universe?" He asked a question with his eyes still locked on the glowing moon.
Damien who had been cleaning some glasses raised an eyebrow but he didn't answer. He knew it had been rhetorical.
"You see, our universe or reality, has managed to produce two god emperors ever since its inception. They are propping us up and protecting us from being experimented on by evil god emperors." He started a tale. His eyes were still glued to the liquid.
Damien listened carefully.
'He is different from his usual boisterous self.' He noted.
"Sometime ago, a certain legendary person was born in our universe. Currently, she goes by 'Moon Queen', a genius never seen before! In a short amount of time she has risen to become a god queen! Can you imagine that!" He exclaimed before taking a sip of the cocktail using the straw. He didn't move the glass from the table, but simply lowered his head.
"You do know after becoming a god, resources become almost useless and comprehension becomes the key to breaking through to higher levels, right?" His previously almost dull pupils started to gain a trace of light. He had even involuntarily tightened his fingers around the glass.
"But she still spent a mere 10,000 years to become a god queen!...which would translate to about 100 sun cycles here!" His voice rose in excitement!
Even Damien had been captivated by his story and was attentively listening. Such a genius was comparable to Phoenix.
"The two god emperors very recently made an assessment after seeing her! She is almost about to step into the god empress realm! All she needs is an epiphany!" Even his body had started to release a soft glow, something which was a trait of the Floaties. It was triggered by intense emotion!
"And then, the two god emperors announced the connection to the multiverse! She was the first person who left and went to tour the other alternate universes! Her goal was to search for other geniuses like herself! I came to this prime timeline because of a rumor that it was going to be her last stop!" The light being produced by his body almost blinded the other patrons.
"Calm down! She is just another god queen!" Damien told him upon seeing that the light was getting too bright.
"Sorry! My bad!" He turned his head and apologized to the other customers. He tried to calm down his intense emotions.
The light receded by a lot, though the glow was still there.
"Haaah! You haven't seen her! When you do, you will understand!" Ben said mysteriously before once again focusing on his drink.
'So he's one of those stalker fans!' That thought passed through Damien's head and he shook his head.
He found such a thing pointless. What was the point of admiring someone who didn't even know of your existence?
"Her pupils are like two moons, her silvery white hair, her kindness! Everything including her beauty are phenomenal!" Ben seemed to have entered a daze as he said that.
"She is someone whom you can only worship but not get romantically attached to!" He continued.
'A fanatic believer, did she start a religion?' Now Damien was curious about the life form Ben had introduced as the 'Moon Queen'.
They spent a few moments like that, Ben in his fantasies while Damien was trying to form an image of the person.
The other patrons were also quietly savouring their drinks. It created a warm atmosphere until the door sprang open with such force that it looked like it had been kicked!
All were shocked and looked towards the entrance.
A woman clad in a dark vine like body hugging suit was the cause. She had dark short hair and dark pupils which were absorbing all the light! They were like two black holes.
But all were attracted by her prominent chest which was pushing against the suit.
Sounds of saliva being swallowed and smacking lips were heard throughout the tavern but none dared to go up to her.
Her aura indicated her to be a mere demigod but everyone here had witnessed her methods and do trust me...or them, she was scary.
She sauntered over to the bar and sat next to Ben.
"Dark Rose! I told you to be quieter! This is a business establishment! You always inconvenience the others!" Damien complained, though his face lacked any change of expression.
This woman was Dark rose! If you looked at her closely, you might think of her as Lino's twin. But! She was the other personality who had woken up and taken over!
"Ben trash! How long before you go back?" She impolitely asked as her dark pupils settled in the person on her left.
Lino wouldn't have dared to say that. This person was a God, she, a demigod, but Ben was awkwardly smiling while his face was turned away from her.
"I am waiting for my idol!" He mumbled. The Floaties race weren't lifeforms which were well versed in combat. They were a peaceful race who were mostly mild, which was why it was surprising that Ben had broken away from convention and decided to come to the prime universe for his idol!
"Tsk!" Dark rose simply clicked her tongue before moving her gaze towards Damien.
"Tell me Damien! Why won't you take a piece of this body? Look at these massive things!" She proceeded to say as she placed her hands on her massive breasts.
Ben sneaked a peek...so did the other patrons, but Damien didn't so much as bat an eye lid.
He had gotten used to it ever since she awakened.
Dark rose was someone who saw even her current body as tool to get whatever she wanted. She had used Lino's body to sleep with many men in the universe as long as it let her reach her goals!
"You are sexually harassing Lino's body, do you even care?" Damien asked.
"It doesn't matter!" She said.
Even though she acted like that, she didn't try to push Damien into a corner. It was something which signified that she had fallen for him.
"Anyway! I heard some Moon Queen is coming? Most people here are hyped up. I don't understand what all the fuss is about? She is just god queen? Don't they pop up...like every sun cycle?" Rose asked as she sucked a bottle from the shelf into her hands.
"She's finally coming! When does she arrive?! Did you get the information? I need to clean myself up first! How can I meet the Moon Queen in these clothes?!" Ben first shook up Rose as he demanded the information but he raced out upon looking at his clothes.
"What's wrong with him?" She asked, still shaken up. She had never seen the guy this excited.
"Apparently he's a fan/worshipper of hers who followed her from his origin universe. Basically she is his idol." Damien explained as he came to stand opposite Rose.
He proceeded to snatch the bottle from her hands and placed it back on the shelf.
She pouted cutely but didn't try to get it back.
"Have you finished your work?" He asked.
Rose worked at one of the establishments of the entertainment corner, the outdoor pool.
It had been filled with the seven colored liquid and was one of the famous ones among all the places. It was beneficial and most of the lifeforms using it were female.
Its good for the skin! It keeps me wrinkle free!...and other reasons made it a favourite spot for them.
The price for using the entertainment corner was one elemental string per sun cycle and the teleportation formation was one elemental string per use.
They were expensive but the customers were equally rich! Most came from renowned clans in their respective universes.
Take that guy Ben for example, his race is one of the richest and even one of the only two god emperors is their partriach!
So most of them saw the price as cheap. The castellan of the city, Phoenix, was currently earning way more than the five...currently four clans residing in the city.
Gigan and the other representatives seemed to have come to some sort of deal and were currently sharing the residence Gigan had negotiated out of him.
"Well...most of them are having fun...I have nothing to do, so I came out here to pay you a visit." She said as she avoided his red eyes. Damien had also stopped wearing glasses since it would be impolite to the customers...he didn't care, but Phoenix had stipulated it.
'She is definitely slacking!' He thought, though he didn't tell her to go back. He knew that no one would dare to cause trouble.
"By the way, how come the news of the Moon Queen reached you? I thought only Ben knew her?" He asked curiously.
