Author's Note

The novel takes place in the present day with the transition of new food products with the arrival and implementation of new legislation to introduce insects in food and help its dissemination given the resistance that occurs in the West.

According to the FAO itself, it suggested encouraging the large-scale breeding of insects, food rich in nutrients, low cost, ecological and "delicious. I have been working for many years with the dissemination of new food.

Two billion people in traditional cultures already consume them.

About 900 species of insects are edible.

2 kg of feed is needed to produce 1 kg of insects, while cattle require 8 kg of feed to produce 1 kg of meat.

According to FAO, "by 2030, more than 9 billion people will need to be fed, as well as the billions of animals raised each year" to meet diverse needs, at a time when "soil and water pollution due to intensive production of grazing animals leads to forest degradation".

Another argument in favour of breeding insects is that they "can be harvested in their natural state, cultivated, processed and sold by the poorest in society, such as women and landless farmers. Insects can be collected directly and easily in their natural state. The expenses or investments necessary for the harvest are minimal".
