Chapter 8: So, it began...

Shortly, the door was open with a gentle push as Hannah walked inside the bedroom while holding a wooden tray, and on it was a bow of Rainbow Fish Congee.

"Mama is back~!" Hannah said with her usual loving smile; the worried looks from before had disappeared as soon as she saw Myah. She didn't want him to be worried.

At that moment, once she placed the wooden tray onto the round table, a sweet and pleasant fragrance instantly engulfed the air making Myah's nose twist as he stopped rolling.

"Wah! the food is here. Myah felt so hungry!" Jumped down from the bed, the little guy didn't even bother to wear his shoes and ran over, looking rather excited.

"Slow down and watch your step. You might hurt yourself for running too fast, and remember to clean your hand before eating." Seeing how Myah almost stumbled a few times, she warned him to be careful.

Then, Hannah wondered. 'Myah seems more energetic than usual? Maybe the awakening has bought a change to his stamina.' Albeit somewhat guessing the reason, she still felt that it was too fast.

Just as Myah puts down the Spirit Stone and his Soul Origin Crystal on the table to wipe his hand with the wet towel, Hannah quickly notices it and is at a loss for words. She suddenly felt the need to teach him about some common sense seriously.

"Myah, it's not good to casually summon your Soul Origin Crystal and place it out in the open like this. Don't do it in the future, okay?" This is a severe problem, and if she doesn't reprimand him now, it might become a habit in the future.

"Ah? but Myah wants to have it all the time; it's so beautifully." Blinking his big and starry eyes, little Myah shakes his head, confused while not knowing why. Since everyone has one, he thought there was no reason to hide it.

"Myah, you can't do that. Your Soul Origin Crystal is significant to you, and if you take it out so casually, bad people will want to steal it away, or it could be damaged." She explained patiently.

Although a person's Soul Origin Crystal couldn't be stolen away as it's useless to other people, it could easily be damaged. Hannah felt that she needed to scare her son a little. Otherwise, something mishap could happen in the future.

She solemnly said, "Does Myah remember the stories mama tells you? If your Soul Origin Crystal's damaged, you won't be able to cultivate and can't get stronger anymore in the future. Myah doesn't want that to happen, right?"

Hannah did not exaggerate her word at all.

As the name suggests, a Soul Origin Crystal closely connects to the said person's soul, and once it gets damaged or even destroyed, the consequences would be unimaginable.

As little Myah kept on listening, he was greatly shocked and frightened. Hence, he nodded while carefully picking up the Soul Origin Crystal and said meekly, "Mama, Myah won't do it anymore. Can you check it, please?" He wants to get stronger and have a War Soul to protect his mother in the future.

Just the thought of being unable to cultivate horrified him!

"Don't worry; it's okay. But, you need to be careful in the future." Hannah said, smiling. Seeing him get so frightened, she couldn't bring herself to continue with the matter anymore.

Then, Myah sat on the chair obediently while being spoon-fed by his mother like a baby, savoring the taste of the Rainbow Fish Congee. There were fish, carrots, peas, and many other vegetables. The congee looks very tasty. No matter how many times the little guy eats it, it's still delicious and is his favorite.

Nock!

Nock!

Nock!

"Come in," Hannah said after hearing a servant lightly knocking on the door. Once the servant girl stepped inside, she asked. "Is there something going on?"

"Madam, the Clan Leader has sent someone over to notify that your presence is needed in his office." The servant girl respectfully bowed and replayed the message.

Upon the mention of Thoran, Hannah's mood abruptly changed, and her face turned gloomy. She pondered for a moment then inquired, "Is the informant still waiting?"

"Yes, madam." The servant girl replied and nodded in confirmation.

"You can go back now and tell the informant that I will be there shortly." Once servant girl bowed once more and left the room. Hannah turned her gaze to Myah, who still had his mouth open, waiting. "Myah, mama has to go because there's work which needs to be attended. Can you eat by yourself?"

Myah was dazed for a moment. The little guy still wants to spend more time with his mother but reluctantly nods. He could feel that his mother's mood shifted and knew that she had something important to do.

After Hannah left, Myah then started to eat by himself while absorbing the energy from the Spirit Stone at the same time.

...

Following behind the informant toward the Clan's main building, Hannah arrived before Thoran's office in no time.

The old butler noticed Hannah and gave her a pass. Only then did the two guards in front of the door allow her to go inside with it.

Seeing no one in the office except the old butler, Hannah looked at him and frowned.

"Sorry Hannah, something has just come up, and the Clan Leader has to go and settle it. Wait here for a while, and he will be back in a moment." After glancing at her briefly, the old butler spoke with a hoarse voice and then cleaned the office and sorted out the documents on the table.

He had served the Braveheart Clan as a butler for hundreds of years and watched many children grow up. Hannah was also one of the many.

"..."

After a moment of silence, Hannah said. "No problem Old Jack. I will be waiting here then." Glancing at the old butler once more, she sat on one of the chairs.

...

Meanwhile, a few minutes after Hannah left her courtyard. The black shadow of a tall figure was looming quietly as it pushed open the door to Myah's bedroom.
