Puberty

In the second quarter of school, Rylee and her fellow classmates, were systemically introduced into the world of magic. Initially, it was going through the basics, such of the available elements that could be controlled. Slowly they were taught some of the things that available to be accomplished through magic.

With the right skills, they could create giant tornadoes of fire, that could destroy swathes of enemies. Maybe, they could learn to control the weather, in limited scales, and help to alleviate adverse weather conditions, even, maybe, stopping out of control forest fires. A skilled mage could even have the ability to save a life that had been grievously wounded, that would surely die without magical help. There were even some mages that could create illusions that seemed to be completely real.

All children that heard would could be achieved through magic, would surely want to become great magicians themselves. Even Rylee became engrossed in what various others have become able to do. She was also smart enough to realize that her teachers exaggerated what most people could do with their power, but it still showed Rylee that, magic properly realized, could possibly allow her to become a male once more.

With that knowledge implanted into her psyche, she threw herself into her magical studies. Already ahead of the rest of her classmates, she increased the distance between her and them. Leaving them in the proverbial dust, as she kept trying to grasp more and more knowledge.

"Mom, it hurts. I don't know why it hurts so much." Rylee started to complain to her mother. She was just shy of her twelfth birthday, and had never felt this type of pain before.

"Relax honey, it's normal. You're having your monthly cycle. I'm sorry it hurts so much." Rylee's mother tried her best to comfort her daughter.

Even though Rylee had gone through classes teaching about puberty of girls, she mostly ignored it. She had lived the life of a girl, reluctantly, she still considered herself a guy, even still. It was not to say that she had not understood about what a girls body had to go through, she never truly considered that she would have to go through it. She did not want to admit it to herself.

"I don't want this. Why?"

"I know baby. Mommy will help you out." Her mother did the best to comfort her ailing daughter. Empathizing with the pain her daughter was going through. "It'll get better."

Rylee's period was not the end of the changes that happened to her. She was a growing girl, and nature would not be kept from continuing on the changes going on with her body. Monthly, she had to go through what she had never wanted, and would freely give away.

But that was not the only thing that changed.

Like all girls, she slowly started to develop into a woman. Proportions, that Rylee would enjoy seeing on any other female, soon become apparent on her body. While still small, her breasts were growing, causing them to be both painful and tender, at the same time. Along with that, her hips and but started to grow. And the hair…

She had long come to grips that she no longer had the same equipment that she did as a man, she had a woman's body parts. But the growth of hair there, and other physical changes, made it so that she could not just ignore it. And…

Oh wait, this is a PG story, so I should not delve further into the details. But I'll just say, along with visible changes, there were some chemical changes in Rylee's body that made her life more difficult, no, I should say complicated. And she did not appreciate any of it.

Even though she was becoming a woman, she hated it. Even just staying in the body of a young girl would have been better than going through puberty and it's changes.

Although Rylee was hating going through puberty, and becoming more womanly, her parents were happy with it. Her father was proud that he could show off with beautiful daughter, and her mother… Her mother was worse. With the finances to play with, she made Rylee take even more care of herself.

Rylee's mother made her start to wear make-up, tastefully of course, since Rylee had never gotten interested in it. Manicures, pedicures, and trips to the salon were par for the course, on a weekly basis. She wanted her daughter to stand out from the rest of her peers and be admired because of her looks, along with her intelligence. She was a nearly perfect specimen of womanhood.

And Rylee, she hated all of it.

With the changes progressing through Rylee's body, she pushed herself to study even harder on how to overcome her difficulties. Through her gained knowledge, she found that there were legends, hopefully true ones, of people with the ability to change shapes. If all was to be believed, it was a truly difficult and painful spell, but it could change her to what she believed she was.

Every hint of what could possibly lead to revealing how to shape change, no matter how insignificant, Rylee investigated as far as she could. Eventually, when she was around the age of 15, she garnered enough information to piece together over 65% of what the spell, that she would need to cast, entailed. And from there, with no further relevant information, she would have to develop the spell herself from there.

She left no stone un-turned in her endeavor. Every magical medical journal related to beautification was ignored. With the intense focus on what her studies were, her parents were thrilled. Assuming, incorrectly, they thought that she wanted to go into a medical profession. While it not be a truly self-serving area of medicine, it was still a medical field. And with the passion she was showing in her studies, she would become a leading expert if given the opportunities.

They would, of course, encourage her passions when they were in an affluent career. Instead of trying to hinder her progress, through their connections, they networked to ease the way for her to get an elite education, that was deserved from someone of her standings. Their daughter would become prestigious.
