Deus Ex Machina

"Not again, not another person to transmigrate. I'm getting sick of dealing with these people. They all want to be a hero in some magical world. And the best person there ever was. They want money, power, and fame. Why can't they just want a simple life?"

In the aether, a voice without a body complained to itself. While it was its responsibility to juggle the matter of reincarnating souls, a recent influx of people transmigrating had fallen into its bailiwick of responsibilities, and it was sick of it.

Why could these mortal beings not be happy with just being alive and having free will?

Just being is a great thing. Even the worst of lives lived was still better than not being. These worthless beings always wanted something more. Something better.

While it could understand not wanting to live a wretched life, what was there so grand about being the at the top of the world?

"Woah, is this real? I'm going to another world?" A new blob of a soul popped into existence near, relatively speaking, this ethereal being.

"Speak. What do you want to be in your new life?" Spoke the voice.

"I want a handsome and healthy body, and I want to be rich."

"That is possible."

"And can I be a powerful magician?"

"Yes. Anything else?"

"Nah."

"And I will now proceed to transport your soul into an available situation."

"Thanks. You're the best."

Like all the others before it, this person wanted to better than others. Frustrated the being started its process to transmigrate this soul into an available vessel. Millions of bodies were available for it to send this soul. And one special one stood out to this being.

It fulfilled all the things that the soul wanted, but not in the way it desired. Nothing would be wrong to send to that spirit to that new life. But, the existence would get some needed joy from the situation. Yes, it would send that soul to that life.

"Here is what your new body will look like. Explore it while I finalize the transfer." The voice said neutrally.

A young 20 something year old body appeared. Naked, the body presented to the spirit, all features could be seen. It was a muscular body, strong but not excessively so. The face had strong but soft features with a long, straight, and full platinum blond hair. Naked, the body presented to the spirit, all features could be seen. Not a single scar or blemish adorned the body. Needless to say, the manhood of this body was more than adequate.

Before the being sent the soul to inhabit its new body, it asked one final question to the soul, "is it to your liking?"

"Completely."

And with no words of thanks uttered after that, in this timeless environment, the being completed the transmigration.
