Chapter 2

As I arrived at Bay C-36 I felt like knot formed in my stomach as all these clones lives where now in my hands I was noted as a great strategist for someone so young but I never thought to put it to the test this early. As I arrived at the shuttle a Clone Commander with pure platinum armor and red claw marks on his T-shaped helmet. He saluted me and stood at attention as he took off his helmet and walked with me to the shuttle. "General Zarik, Sir! Commander Eighty Eight reporting for duty and ready to serve you and the Republic." As I looked at Commander Eighty Eight he looked younger than the rest of his clone brethren I've seen before. Not to mention he had a mohawk and a X shaped scar on the front of his face and he had different colored eyes they looked almost reptile slit like.

As we reached the BlackDawn reality finally set in for me and I could feel the weight of these clones. No, my brothers in arms. Their lives are in my hands and it's time I showed them my worth as a young general. The shuttle landed in the BlackDawn's hanger bay and as me and the Commander Eighty Eight walked out the gunship we were greeted by the admiral and his second in command the captain. She was a twi'lek and togruta hybrid with pinkish red skin and white face markings on her forehead and right cheek with greyish blue eyes. "Captain Teva! Reporting for duty and I will be quarterbacking you from the ground we've established an outpost on Ord Mantell just near Fort Garnik." Teva had a British-french accent as she spoke and put her hand out so I could shake it. "I look forward to your expertise Captain out in the food...I mean field." Teva giggled as we finished shaking each other's hands. "Try not to get too hungry out in the field General Zarik, sir."

As she walked away with the swish of her hips complimenting her body frame the admiral cleared his throat throwing me out of my daydream. "If you're done gawking at Captain Teva I would like to inform you of the fact that we are ready to enter hyperspace and should you need us we will be on the bridge. Good day, Master General Zarik." As the Admiral walked away back to the bridge Commander Eighty Eight walked up beside me. "Geez, why is he such stickler?" "He has his reasons I would assume sir. But on to the matter at hand, is there anything you wish to know about this legion?" "Yes, what are your pros and cons compared to the famous 501st and 212th?" "Well sir, unlike the 501st we were bred and trained to last months even years on any planet with little man power, weapons, food, or shelter. We're quick to establish a base at any point we have achieved an object or side objective sir. The downside is that we lack the numbers that 501st do and we are the youngest so we're known as the real-combat virgins amongst our brothers. "So we're the underdogs huh?"

"Yes sir, and as you can see our legions armor is a platinum silver and we have no catchy name like the Wolff pack. Unlike the 212th we lack an overabundance of vehicles and siege weapons. However; we make up for that with our quick wit our ability to adapt to any situation and we are well versed in espionage and working in the shadows. We have extensive knowledge on comms dejamming, signal scrambling, aswell as console and droid hacking." "Anything else?" "Well we've been training to use vibroswords but never to great lengths." "Interesting...starting today we work on your vibrosword skills and how to defend against force users." "But sir, we're not bred or taught that." "Eighty Eight let me tell you something, with me as your general you will be the best of the best far exceeding the 501st and 212th you'll be infamous. From hence forth our legion will be known as the Silver Hammer." "Understood Master General Zarik." "Oh by the way have the entire clone force meet me at the hanger bay I would like to give them an aspiring speech."

"Master General!?" "Trust me this is something every legion needs and no, it's not just the force at our backs." Zarik waited in the hanger bay and that's when all of the Silver Hammer Legion arrived in the Hanger Bay. "Master General Zarik, the entire legion is here and is awaiting your speech sir!" Commander Eighty Eight exclaimed. "My fellow brothers in arms we may be the youngest of our groups. Yet, we show the most heart and the most gumption. We are individuals by soul but as one as a battalion and I will do everything in my power to insure you're safety and well being. Help me by being the anvils I need to forge a great weapon of unity and freedom and inspire the galaxy world wide. We aren't just serving the Republic we are serving the entirety of the galaxy for future generations!"

The clones stood their in silence for a few seconds then they all cheered and clapped in high spirits. As I jumped down from the box I was standing on Commander Eighty Eight walked up to me. "That was an arousing speech Sir." "Thanks Eighty Eight." I replied back. "Attention, We are exiting hyperspace and beginning to enter Ord Mantell space. All pilots to your fighters." "Looks like things are about to shimmer Eighty Eight. You've got my back?" "Always Zarik." Eighty Eight smiled and walked beside me as we headed for the bridge.

As we exited hyperspace a battle was raging between the separatists and the local military. "Looks like it's time for us to join the battle Eighty Eight." "Agreed sir." Eighty Eight and I headed for star fighters and entered the dog fight. "This is Silver leader all squads report in." I said over the star fighters comm systems. "This is Orange leader standing by." "Violet leader standing by." "Indigo leader standing by." "Black leader standing by." "Green leader standing by." "All squads have reported in Zarik." "Alright guys this is a special formation called Wrench formation. Green Leader on me the rest break off in a v shape formation. keep it tight everybody."
